We had an excellent tour of this distillery by John & Courtney McKee! We started off with a cocktail in the tasting room which was delicious. We then moved into the warehouse and they explained the distillery equipment that they are designing and building. Finally, we saw where the spirits are aged and learned about the barrels used and the aging process. In the middle of the tour we refreshed our cocktails. It was very enjoyable and informative and the spirits they create are great! I would highly recommend this tour! It was a fun addition to our trip to Butte.

This establishment was great. I was nicely welcomed and we discussed the history of the distillery. Such awesome history to listen to, it was great. I suggest pretty much anything on the menu, but if you still cant pick something out, just ask for the root beer tasting one....youll thank me later....

Very tasty drinks with spirits made in house. There is many drinks to choose from in the menu but you are limited only to two since it is a tasting room. Can buy two of the bottles that you taste. They sell vodka, whiskey or gin.

We had a fantastic tour by John & Courtney McKee! We were first treated to cocktails in their tasting room - either a Dirty Girl or a Montucky (Montana Kentucky) Mule. Both were delicious! We then got to see the stills that they manufacture & finally the different spirits they make. Midway through the tour we got a refill on our cocktails. It was very informative and enjoyable. We liked both the whiskey and the bourbon. Highly recommended!

Quickly becoming a must stop while in town. The drinks are good and the bourbon is very smooth. The service was a bit slow due to a new bar tender but the owner came in and helped out. Keep up with good work!

Great distillery. Loved the cocktails.. Lots of good ones with standard ingredients. I feel some try to go too fancy with ingredients but not this place. A couple of games no kids toys. Single seat toilets. Loved loved the cocktails.

Well known distillery in Butte! Deffinetly a place to check out if your visiting. Wide selection of drinks to pick from and some great whiskey to choose from.

On the way back from the Lewis and Clark Caverns and my husband and I had to try this out. Very refreshing.

You have to try the tasting room, some first rate cocktails are served here.Take home a bottle or two while you are at it. I recommend the Speculator Rye, its very expensive but worth it. Neversweat bourbon is top shelf in taste but mid range in price

Stopped in on our way home to Seattle on a recommendation from a fellow traveler. Best decisions we’ve ever made. Wasn’t sure what to expect with new Covid rules, but service was outstanding. Staff was friendly and welcoming, and answered all our annoying out of town questions.

We were glad we stopped by bought four bottles, really liked the gin, bourbon and the speculator rye wish we could buy more at one time

Bartenders are very friendly and attentive. They offer a large menu of vodka, gin, and whiskey cocktails that has something for everyone. And with the two drink limit imposed by state law youll have a reason to come back since youll certainly see more than two things you want to try.

Great little place to stop for a drink! They make great spirits here and unique cocktails for consumption. This place can be great for a quick stop in or an extended afternoon with friends. Every time Ive been in here the energy has been active and full. Ive always been happy with the daily concoctions. After imbibing a little bit you can even take home a bottle for personal consumption.

Great place! I tried the Gin and Bourbon both were outstanding and made right in the building! Super friendly local staff had good insight into the town of Butte! Also had local artists on display.Would have loved to stay longer but a silly Montana law only allows two drinks within the tasting room per person!?Option two- go in buy two bottles and take them out to enjoy in the Montana scenery!

Headframe Spirits is the best place in Butte for a handcrafted cocktail. The majority of their spirits are distilled on-site, and from the way they make their drinks its evident that they want to emphasize their craft.The staff and owners are excellent, and although the sitting and standing area in the tasting room is on the small side it really makes for a vibrant scene. If youre as a group of 5 or more its best to call ahead and see if you can get a table reserved.This is the perfect place to go if youre looking for a booming micro-distillery with real Butte character!

What an awesome place. Their spirits are fantastic. Very very flavorful and quite smooth. Every sip leaves you wanting another. The staff was great and very fun to talk to. Super friendly environment with a wonderful decor. Everything was very well priced. Lookin forward to going back.

Although the drinks are delicious the service tends to lack. Sat there for about 10 minutes without being served or welcomed by the staff to order.

Love coming to Headframe. There is no other place in Butte like this. The only downfall is that it can become very crowded on weekends and Fridays... So be prepared for a wait if you are wanting a seat on the weekend. Definitely a Butte favorite. Cheers!!

Worth the stop, return trip or special destination planning. The people are top notch (especially the sweety behind the bar) and their spirits are tasty. I wanted to try a pint or two of the Dirty Girl but didnt have time for that experience. I see a return trip with an overnight stay and extended layover with Headframe Spirits as the #1 destination. Awesome tours of the distillery! Order the dirty girl... tastes like a root beer float. Take home a bottle of the orphan girl and a bottle of neversweat. You wont regret it. Also the little darling straight malt is smooth.

Great atmosphere, and awesome drinks. Pretty hard to beat even when compared to other spirits bars around the state. The only issue I have with them is that they close too early, but thats due to state law!

A very cool distillery. Clean well maintained and nestled in the heart of Butte. Im a big fan of headframe (I think their Whiskey is terriffic).

Always enjoy headframe when Im in Butte. I really like the laid-back space and options for drinks. Last time I was there I even tried non-alcoholic drinks that were really good.

The Headframe is my Tuesday and Thursday after work hangout. Theres even a saying around quitting time of, Its Whiskey Time, and everyone here knows that means its time to got to The Headframe and have a cocktail or two.The prices are rock solid and fair, the hooch is top notch, and the staff are just plain awesome! I would setup a bed in the corner if I could.

Honestly my favorite distillery. They know how to make amazing drinks that bring out the different flavors.
