The engine Precision rebuilt for me started knocking with 200 miles in it. I took it back to them but after removing the top end so I couldn’t drive it they did nothing for two months., So I towed it away myself, took the motor out, took the crankshaft out and found the bearings were completely worn down to brass. Took the block down to M and W in Three Forks. They said to bring them the oil filter so they could cut it open in a lathe to see what it had filtered out. They found shavings from the crankshaft. Precision had neglected to clean the crank after turning it. They gave me another crank and a $100 292 block that I had magnafluxed to find was cracked. If I had the time and money I would have sued but that’s all they would give me. The next door neighbor told me as I towed the car away that he has seen many people tow their cars out of there. I wouldn’t touch that place with a ten foot pole.
