A modern twist to Puerto Rican cuisine. I you handle spicy food try the Vaca Brava turnover. If youre for a burger try this local approach to them you wont regretted. Tacos with a local twist, fries or chips of course everything is very different for what you had before. Im planning to visit this place often... very often.

Went to Sorongo as it was recommended as the best place in the neighborhood. The waitress took a long time (not going to share exact amount of time but it was very long) to take our orders. Another hour to bring out the food and it was not as described in the pictures. We had the Viandas con Bacalao, just horrible!

If you rate sorongo for what it is...sort of a Spanish tapas style with a strong Puertorican cusine fusion / influence, you cant go wrong. The service is great and the atmosphere is bohemia. Its like eating from Grandmas kitchen with the presentation touch. Its a really cool place.

Sorongo is my favorite spot to visit when in the island. It’s that chill hang out where you can have some delicious greasy fried goodness (everything on the menu is amazing) while enjoying a beer or a tropical drink. It’s a hip hangout but it’s also family friendly. It’s simple, it’s homey, it cozy. It’s the island life. The beach side atmosphere with the flavors of the countryside. It’s the puertorrican culture and a visit to past generations.Their owners and employees feel Iike family. They win at hospitality but also tell it like it is, because they are genuine.Honestly, I love everything about this business and I look forward to visiting them every time I go back home, to my island.

What an awful experience! The empanadillas dipped in tempura (bacalaitos) mix, making them super greasy. The fillings had no flavor at all. I do not know who came up with this idea but its just gross. I had to ask for drinks to be served almost 15 min after ordering, and only had three tables, waiter thought to wait until food ready for drinks to be served. 🥺I am all up for supporting the small businesses and will try anything once. However, this were the worst $45 expent.

I liked the place, being so close to the beach and being able to drink and eat in front of a sunset in the west is priceless. As for the cost of food it is moderately high.

Exquisite and different food!

Since my panas invited me one night to drink and eat there. Sorongo became a place that at least a month did not go without going. When Im on a diet, Im just going to have drinks but when I break it ... cod dumplings 🤤🤤🤤🤤. I recommend them 100%.

Apparently they are accommodating in a later establishment. I was recommended this place for its exquisite food and in reality the alcapurria was very rich, but the place was messy, the tools pulled by the corners, unfinished areas near where you eat, and the waiters were on another planet, lost. My Husband and I with The Empty Cervesas and we were not asked if we wanted more. In addition to the time we were waiting for food. I would give them a second chance because the alcapurria really tasted delicious.

I loved the service and creativity! I had not gone to PR for 6 years and I have followed the growth of this business since its inception. That is why we could not miss visiting it on our vacations. I can tell you that I was wanting more, because I wanted to visit it again before leaving but I couldnt, so for the next time I go to the island, here I go again. Much success!
