I absolutely love the staff! I’ve been going to them for over a year now and recommend anyone that’s looking for a friendly staff and a great eye doctor to go there. The people at the front desk are always kind when checking us in. Technicians help us look for our glasses and make sure it’s the perfect fit for our faces. Dr. Charity is sweet...very knowledgeable about eye care and straightforward about treatment of your eyes. Thanks ladies and keep up the GREAT work!!

The Staff are awesome and the service was excellent. However, their prices on glasses and sunglasses are outrageous and unrealistic. 1200.00 plus quote on Eyeglasses and Sunglasses, ridiculous.

After going to a few different eye care clinics and being unsatisfied, I found my way to Dr. Hertzog about five years ago. I will never go to anyone else. The staff is friendly, they explain the different parts of the exam, and they allow you to opt out of anything they think your insurance may not cover. Dr. James likes to keep you engaged during his examination and will thoroughly explain his findings. Great place!

Dr. Hertzog and his staff are wonderful people. I trust his clinic with my family and friends. I also grew up in Cabot with Dr. Hertzog and his family. I have always known them to give back to this community in many different ways. Give Dr. Hertzog and his clinic a chance and you will be as satisfied with their services as my family.

Ive known Dr. James Hertzog for many years, but that has nothing to do with the fact that I have complete trust in his experience and professionalism in regards to my eyes. He is thorough and does not rush me as I ask questions, enabling me to understand all that I am going through with my vision. He even worked me in one morning when I was seeing flashes, making sure that I did not have a torn or unattached retina. That meant a lot to me.

This was only my second visit to eye doctor in over 40 years and couldnt have been more pleased. Well pleased with the service not my eyes. Doctor was great and the staff was wonderful in all aspects. I wont go anywhere else from now on.

I am a librarian...so, I sometimes compare life experiences to quotes from books. In this case, I will compare my experience at Hertzog Family Eye Care with Lillys experience in Lillys Purple Plastic Purse (Henkes) when she says, WOW! That is just about all I can say, WOW!!! If you are wondering whether or not these reviews are read by anyone...YES...they are! When I walked into the clinic for my second visit, I simply said my name and appointment time and nearly everyone in the clinic immediately came out to thank me for my last review! Dr. J. Hertzog listened carefully as I told him about my experience with my trial contact lenses. He decided to look at my eyes again and immediately found a situation that we needed to address. I appreciated him HEARING and listening to my report that the lenses were uncomfortable and responding so efficiently. Then, he put me in Julis care for contact lens and glasses ordering. She impressed me by noticing that although my first name is on my folder, I had noted that I use my middle name. It is RARE that anyone notices that and uses the correct name consistently. Juli let me try on MANY glasses to be sure I found the one that was right for me. Instead of just looking at the color chart to order my contact lenses, she let me put them in my eyes to see how I liked the look. Even though it was the end of the day, she did not act rushed. She gave me a rebate offer and a clear explanation of how I should redeem it. I left with all necessary paperwork to get a discount on my prescription and a rebate for my contacts...I didnt even have to make an extra copy of anything. THIS is the place for family eye care...this will be an experience unlike most other medical offices you visit!!!

Very pleasant atmosphere and straight forward business. I respect a health provider that delivers on your requests/needs and not just focused on running up the insurance charges. Great place, would recommend to anyone and everyone.

I have been wearing glasses for over 25 years. Only experience I have had is go in and see the Dr. You may tell him some of what bothers you or you may just get your eyes checked. Not here at Hertzog. Met 4 different employees before I saw the Dr. Questions were ask and all written down with different types of checks on my eyes. In 15 minutes I saw the Dr. and he had all kinds of things about my eyes he ask about. This was the best exam and the most professional and courteous experience yet. I highly recommend this Family eye care office to everyone.

As a healthcare provider myself, I am very picky about the professionals I work with and recommend. The Hertzogs are both very knowledgeable, passionate and caring people and truly want the best care for their patients. I recommend them very highly!

Switched to Dr. Chase Harter, he helped me more in 20 mins (Including wait time) than my last doctor of 5 years did for me. Glad I found a place worth going to. Thank yall so much!

Dishonest on pricing. When your pick out your frames, leneses and ect. Prices are wrote on a sticky note and dont match what all you were quoted for when you pick up glasses. You have to pay upfront but dont get a reciept until you get your glasses nor do they tell you if refund is needed due to there mistakes you only get 1/2 back. They forgot my transtion on them then say oh we didnt charge for that. But my total after insurance $457.00 it was $1055.00 with insurance. If you ask them to make it rite an add the trasittion they want another $88.00. I asked for a refund only got 1/2 back no frames or anything for the $258.00 they kept of my money plus what ever they still billed the insurance.They are robbing people and very dishonest with customers and insurance. Look at what they bill the insurance verses your receipt Now I have no glasses,I am out of pocket $258.00,they didnt even give me my prescription like I asked. So I can get my glasses else where.
