Ive always loved this place since I was a little guy. Kicker is my brand, and theyve always got something new from kicker. Sound hound always has good recommendations. I would definitely come here if youre looking for the best possible outcome.

Paid 577 for a unit that was priced on the shelf for 289 including install. 150 was for the connection kit for handlebar controls. They never really explained what the rest was for....prepaid the entire amount then they wanted an additional 189 bucks to replace 2 speakers that sell at best buy for 79 dollars. RIP off pricing at best.

This place has been around for a long time. Thay have always done a great job installing anything I have needed. Everything from a simple radio to a full blown car audio system. Remote start, car alarm, and anything car audio related, I take vehicles here.

Excellent customer service. Knowledgeable staff. Good selection of equipment. I have had them install stereo systems in 3 vehicles and 2 remote starts. No issues. Word to the wise...dont show up with gear purchased elsewhere, and expect warranty work or repairs for work others did poorly.

They installed my alpine stereo and front speakers. Honest about what product work for what I wanted and the type of sound I was looking for. Military discount was a perk. Even if they didnt offer one still worth it.

I didnt end up purchasing anything yet, however they didnt pressure me into buying anything. Pretty good selection to choose from as well.

I really wanted to support local business, but when I went there to see about the alpine stereo i wanted the price was 499 which included installation. The problem is, the ilx-w650 is 299 on crutchfield and 299 at best buy with free install. Now I understand that the little guys cant charge the same as the big box stores, but they buy their inventory at wholesale like any other retailer. So as i was told the install price was 105, taken from 499 that means Im being charged 394 for a stereo that retails elsewhere for 299. I want to support local business, but I also dont want to get gouged for it.

Good professional bunch. There was a slight dispute I had in a pricing misunderstanding with the owner and even though after we got it sorted I was the one who misunderstood the owner still gave me a discount off my purchase. Super cool I recommend these guys for all your audio needs.

Words probably wont Express how pleasantly surprised I was with my dealings with SoundHound. I told them what I was trying to accomplish with a sound system they worked up a quote I accepted it then dropped off my vehicle a couple days later to have the work done. Surprisingly they called me up and told me that once they started working on it they felt they could get me the same results I was looking for for a fraction of the price. What Im trying to say they could have still charged me the agreed-upon price and I never would have known the difference the system turned out better than I imagined at pennies on the dollar morals and ethics are huge to me. Needless to say I would send friends and family to their business without hesitation.

Prices are kinda meh, workmanship and knowledge of employees is decent usually.

Bought a new deck and speakers they told me install was lifetime warranty they sold me a bad harness I took the car back in and they wanted to charge me 100 dollars for a new harness for the bad one they sold me do yourselves a favor and go somewhere else bad business criminals

These guys are totally great and awesome to I actually could have two different car audio places I wont name the other one but I actually own stuff that I bought from these guys and today I went in to get one of my amps was not acting right and they showed me what I did wrong. And they fixed the issue. and I did not have to come out with more money for them to show me and or fix the issue. That is a win-win situation for any customer

I have dealt with the owner for years and always been impressed by his impeccable service. He surrounds himself by professional and courteous employees. Today I was helped by Juan, who took the time to ask all the questions needed, rather than just sell me new product. The can do any install on boats,RVs, auto, TV, etc. Check them out, you wont be disappointed.

I took in a head unit from a travel trailer to get tested. Initially, the test failed, but the technician kept at it and we eventually found the head unit to be good. He followed up with some tips on how to track down the problem in the trailer, and that led me to eventually getting the problem fixed, and saving me hundreds on an unneeded new head unit. Ill return to them for all my mobile audio needs in the future.

I walked in I knew exactly what I was going to buy but these guys are still knowledgeable. I used to do car installs myself thats why I knew what I what I wanted. But they gave me everything for dirt cheap I walked out of there with six hundred bucks and I got basically two subs two boxes 2 amps 2 hi low converters and 2 amp kits. For $600. Absolutely love these guys you guys are totally awesome

Got me scheduled quickly and fixed wiring the way I wanted it. They seem really busy and need more staff. I was on hold for over 10 minutes and when I came in it took longer than I was told. They fixed me up and there is a lifetime warranty so I would definitely recommend :-)

Went into Sound Hound with some basic questions about the wiring in my truck. A young man named Zach came out and checked out my issues and gave me the professional, positive answers I was seeking. Would definitely go back there again for any of my stereo needs.

I brought in a Pioneer unit I bought at an online stereo retailer and had it installed. I was unhappy with the way it fit which wasnt on Sound Hound. They did the best that they could. I ended up taking my car elsewhere to have the installation checked and was told the Sound Hound installer did an excellent job. The Pioneer unit just didnt function as my former Alpine and the fit was poor. Again, it wasnt the fault of Sound Hound. I ended up buying a Kenwood receiver at a stereo shop in Boise and it was a perfect fit and much better unit.

I have brought these guys 4 different vehicals and each time I have been happy with the experience.They are professional and have met all my expectations. They have been very helpful with questions both before and after the install.I would recommend them to anyone who is need of stereo work.

I go with what the salesman suggests. Ive always been happy with the products and service I receive. The only time a person would be unhappy is when they dont take their suggestions or mess with the install after they leave. Ive been a customer for 20 years because theyre honest and very professional. I dont do my own installs because they have a LIFETIME WARRANTY.

K Lea would you mind updating your review beings we resolved these issues out in our parking lot for you? Checked out your installation (not our work) for you and concluded that you had used too small of power wire to support the 600 watt amp that you upgraded to causing your voltage to drop below 11 volts which can cause any amp to go into protect. Had nothing to do with the subs or the remote wire. You bought the better wire and now have a fully functional system. As for the amp, we offered to send it off to factory, which is the warranty process for discontinued models, and you opted to send it yourself. We did offer you the options of upgrading which would have costed you more beings you were asking for more power as well.

I went to several shops in the Boise area getting ideas and advice. frustrated with my experience I went to the Nampa Caldwell area to check out what they had to offer. Sound Hound was our first stop and our last. John did a great job educating me and the install guys did a sweet job. the price was a little higher when I picked it up, but I was told that could happen, but hoped for the best. they did a supper job getting the sound I wanted, and was worth every penny spent. Thanks to the whole crew for the sweetest sounds!!!!

Had my truck since 11am today. I talked to them at 5 and they said it would be done and come on by after he checked with the technician. We raced home from Costco drop my kids off just to find out that its been there all day and they havent even touched it. The technician was upset and said nobody talk to me. Im not sure who the gentleman talk to when I was on hold for about 5 minutes and he came back to say its all done.I scheduled it on Friday when I was there because they could not help me that day. they said swing buy anytime and drop it off on monday though. They said how about 8,9, 10, I said I dont even pick up my kids till after 10 but I will come by after that. The gentleman said no problem again. Again I said I pick up my children at 10 a.m. but I will try to get it there close to 1030 as possible..He Explained how I could drop it off earlier with a Dropbox, and I said having my vehicle is very important since I need to Drop/pick up my children from two different schools...!!! spent 1300 there. And at the end of tbe day all the guys are pointing the fingers at each other. Lack of communication lack of customer service lack of follow-through . I would not recommend this place if you want any of those things. And at the end of the day I get an email from the owner saying that I was late for my appointment. As far as trying to earn my business back no talks of a credit back to my account for the inconvenience. Nothing as far as an in-store credit. As a general manager myself I know how important customer service is on Yelp reviews Google reviews Etc I would have hoped to have something geared towards TRULLY earning my service back. I dont need the money or the credit but itwould have been nice to see something like that offered. When any of my team drop the ball for the gym I operate. I will offer a free year membership free personal training free protein shakes offer to wash their car carry their bags whatever it takes to have my members be happy. We prepaid for our stereo...made appointment for following weekend only to arrive and find out they had sold the one we already bought! The manager blamed it on his service personnel and wanted to give us another comparable stereo. We asked for a refund and took our business elsewhere. Any manager that throws his own employees under the bus, should be fired!! After all he is in charge, therefore it was HIS responsibility to maintain the work ethic and product control in his store! Shame on him!

They did a good job installing my Kenwood radio for my 97 Expedition. The only reason Im leaving 3 stars is because they did not notify me PRIOR to coming in about a 50$ charge ontop of everything for trimming if needed. This is very important need to know information. End result is amazing but the service was sub-par when it came to customer service on knowledge base for customers. Anyone looking to purchase from these guys please make sure you inquire 100% of all things and make sure you get a proper quote before handing over your keys.

Went in, they were really easy to work with. Finished up the install very quickly, and I will definitely go back.

Bought a couple speakers from sound hound and planned to spend a lot more money on another complete system. Got home and opened one of the speakers and it had a tear in it. They refused to replace it and were completely disrespectful. Long story short, will never go back again and will make it a point to tell everyone about there horrible business. Its one thing to not replace something that was not our doing, its another to treat your customers like dirt when you are in the wrong.

My girlfriend and I went there to get a system for are car,went spent over 1000 with labor included just to put the stereo in I did the rest.well our amp be went into protect mode, they told me I had a bad ground .just to if they were correct I changed the ground. Still is in protect mode, so looks like they were wrong. Well the keep referring us to the kicker company,also they tried to upgrade instead exchanging they wanted more money. This amp is not working properly,and its not the ground issue, so I now we have no sound through our subs.now when I send it back to the manufacturer which takes 12 weeks. Instead of taking care of us . Once they get there money when you by it they dont care so they wont help you anymore.. Im wonder if they screwed on install with the remote wires. Beware of this company before you buy anything from them.

Did not purchase from this shop, $280 for install kit that was $97 expedited overnight off Amazon. Sorry, but I have to feed my own family first.

I had all my equipment installed, which they literally took twice as long as they claimed they were going to originally, gouged me on pricing, said my amp install kit wouldnt work but instead of just selling me the smaller gauge power wire insisted that i buy their amp kit for $80 when it can be purchased almost anywhere online for $20, charged me 2 hours worth of labor to install sound dampening i already provided that literally took maybe 20 minutes since the doors were already apart, absolute lack of communication, didnt even tune the line out converter, amp or crossovers at ALL. i doubt they even know what an o-scope or RTA is. absolute rip off. if you want a quality install, seek PROFESSIONALS elsewhere.

Perfect install and WOW the sound is awesome. Thanks guys... totally impressed.update...I just returned due to an issue with my sub. Im not a stereo person so thought maybe the speaker was blown. I walked straight in and talked to the guy who originally sold me the system. I explained what I was hearing and he immediately went out to my truck to diagnose the issue. It turned out that the sub box came apart! He explained why it failed and that they no longer carried this brand because other enclosures had failed. Luckily they had an upgraded replacement and with a quick swap I was back in kenwood thumping heaven. Took 15 min and absolutely no cost. Im disappointed that other customers had less of an experience than I. Im local and was not asked to say anything on this site. Still gonna recommend and still fully satisfied with the price, equipment, install & customer service.

Rude staff, they debase their customers and prices are way higher than you can purchase the items for online. Management also means nothing there they all are about 15, act and handle things as if they are. Go anywhere but sound hound. I hope this place gets shut down.

I stopped in their shop on a Saturday afternoon to get a quote on getting a new stereo in my vehicle. There were no customers in the store at the time and the guy behind the counter was on the computer. First of all he treated me like I was interrupting something important then it went really downhill from there. He couldnt give me a quote because the supplier was closed on Saturday, which is understandable because I have a Bose system and they would need parts to hook up to that but it was the way he treated me that was so bad, He talked down to me the entire time. He took down my name and number and said he would call me on Monday with a quote, I said are you going to show me some stereos so I can choose one, He sighed and gave me one option but I had to pry info out of him and ask about the others. He never called to give me a quote. I am over 50 and value customer service and this is the worst I have ever been treated by a salesperson in my life!! If I was the owner of this store that employee would be fired immediately! I wish I knew his name. I like to support small businesses in Caldwell but ended up buying from Aspen Sound in Boise.
