Ive made quite a few purchases at this shop. Its a perfect example of how good things come in small packages. It definitely isnt a large place but they have a good selection and everyone who works there is kind and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend.

Its nice that the store has a good supply in stock. But prices are higher than most other stores. Powder, ammo, guns etc. Guns are priced way higher than even the msrp. Go to angeles reloading for your supplies and buy your guns elsewhere where they dont gouge you and make you feel more welcome. Another store down the street gave me a deal and covered the 4473 cost. That is probably why this place has a lot of inventory. They would rather sit on their guns forever versus make a deal. Next.

Always liked this store and they have a good selection of used and new firearms, including the older stuff I love so much as a collector. Also they have a good selection of reloading parts and ammo that are comparable to online prices!

I was a first time gun owner, and these guys made the process simple and painless. They helped my choose the best firearm for what I needed it for. There was a decent size line, but to me that is a good sign. They only allow a couple people inside the store at a time, and that enables them to provide great customer service to everyone who comes inside. The prices are fair, and the staff is knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new firearm or ammo.

I love this place, its small but full of stuff youd expect in a larger place, they have the little things you usually cant find other than online, prices on guns and ammo is on par with anywhere else unless you find one hell of a deal. They also carry pretty much anything youd ever want as far as reloading consumables (more than Ive ever seen in a store) the people are fun to talk to and are very helpful when you need it. Highly recommend.

Good selection of new and used plus tons of accessories. Have a bunch of hard to find ammo on the shelf. Friendly staff. Never had a bad experience there from buying off the shelf to special ordering to having stuff shipped in from out of state.

I called multiple locally owned firearm stores just to see if anyone had night sights for a Glock and Camarillo Gun Store was the only one that had multiple brands in stock. So I came in and they were kind enough to even install them onto my Glock 19. I would definitely go back.

I needed a gun case to transport a handgun in my checked baggage. They were quick to help, getting me exactly what I needed and nothing more. They even offered some advise on how to declare the weapon when checking my bag. Couldnt have been smoother.

They probably have the best prices around West county. Its a family owned shop and they treat you like family. They are knowledgeable and have a wide variety of guns. I would definitely recommend this store to any gun enthusiast.

This store is great for folks looking for reloading supplies, firearm cleaning supplies, and buying firearms in general. They have a great selection (of reloading supplies in particular which is amazing for this area) and are very helpful. Even while being crazy busy at the gun counter with sales and pickups they found the time to help me pick up some reloading supplies and checkout without waiting in the gun purchase line. They mentioned they took over the store in September 2015 and come out to gun shows all the time to help folks like me in the Santa Maria area get our reloading supplies. I highly recommend them and will come back for repeat business!

Ive been a customer at Camarillo Gun Store for more than 2 years now. They have always treated me with respect and helped me with any questions Ive had plus their prices are very fair. They have an excellent selection of trade in, used and consignment items too. I get my reloading supplies there as well, no other shop has the inventory they do and thats important to me. Great family owned business thats literally stocked to the rafters. There are other shops but none have the high level of customer service or selection of both new and used like Camarillo Gun Store has. Ive sold them some items and they have treated me very well. As a reloader it is great to be able to pick up almost anything same day. They have a ton of powder and projectiles, etc. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. I’ve done several private party transfers there and they are faster than most other stores and MUCH faster then the big box store we all know and love. I bought one new rifle there and the price was very fair - especially for a small store. Support merchants that support the 2nd Amendment like Camarillo Gun Store!

Back in October of 2016, I was once again in the market for another firearm. As a regular purchaser of firearms, I am concerned with the following:1. Firearm dealers selection.2. Firearm dealers pricing. (Competitive)3. Firearm dealers customer service.4. Firearm dealers sales staff knowledge.5. Firearm dealers helpfulness. (Will they spend the time I need to make the correct firearms selection?)6. How long do I have to wait to begin examining the different firearms?After visiting several firearms dealers in my local area, I walked into the Camarillo Gun Store located on Ventura Blvd south of the 101. As I entered the store I saw several customers at the counter examining the various firearms for sale. I was then immediately greeted by an employee of the store who asked if there was something he could show me. I made my way to the counter show case and asked to see a Springfield 1911. As the sales consultant walked down to the end of the display I looked up at the 20 or 30 rifles on the back wall display. Behind me I saw racks and racks of reloading supplies and rifle and handgun accessories. The sales consultant returned and spent over an hour with me until I knew more about 1911s, the different manufactures of the various 1911s, the various calibers the firearm was available in, how the firearm was disassembled for proper cleaning and maintenance, and his personal recommendation regarding my choices. Although the store was extremely busy at the time, the sales consultant treated me as though I was the only customer in the store. I purchased the firearm that day and have frequented the store many times since. I rate the Camarillo Gun Store with five stars based on their outstanding customer service, selection of firearms, knowledge, helpfulness, and attentiveness. I would highly recommend to any serious firearms purchaser to visit the friendly sales staff over at the Camarillo Gun Store before purchasing a firearm from any other dealer. DO NOT go here for gun advice or transfers, I lost time and $90. My Uncle passed away out of state and these guys ASSURED my Aunts local gun store that my Uncles M&P Shield was CA legal. When I went to pick it up, Camarillo Gun Store realized the gun wasnt CA compliant despite signing consent to receive the gun over a week ago... Talk about a painful process, they should make sure the people working there know what guns are CA legal to prevent customers paying $90 for shipping fees and causing greet disappoint! They didnt offer an apology and added insult to injury by asking me if I wanted to hold my Uncles heirloom before shipping it back. Avoid this place!

Carlton and his staff of mostly previous military guys are simply Awesome, will defiantly recommend this place for all gun buyers regardless if its your first gun or 100+ gun they will go out of their way to make sure you get exactly what you likeThank you guysM.A.G.A.:)

Ive been going here for a while now to buy my reloading supplies. Ive never really seen anything that I could consider overpriced as mentioned in some of the other reviews. Most of their stuff is just as cheap as it would be if you purchased online but without the hazmat fees and shipping costs. As for their used guns I have not bought a firearm from them but I do browse from time to time and most of their guns are priced fairly and some are quite a bit cheaper than other local stores.

I recently ran into an emergency need for some rare ammunition and called to see if they had it in stock. They said they had one box left and would hold it for me, although they were closing soon. I arrived late, but they waited beyond store hours so that I could get the needed ammo. You just dont get that kind of service with a chain store. Fantastic!

I was in the market for making my first semi-automatic pistol purchase. My purchase at this location was the H&K P2000-V3(FDE FRAME). I felt since it being a local shop I would get better service, fair pricing and not be overcharged. Come to find out they had this gun listed with a 27% mark up. I would think they would want a returning customer. Full amount was paid in cash 999.00+tax. Retail on this pistol that Ive seen it as low as 674.00 @ Turners a few days later to top this experience off. I called to ask if I can get a 10% discount but they chose to do nothing. Not even on a future purchase. I gave this shop my business and support but I did not feel valued as a returning customer.
