Sam is the man! Hes always extremely helpful when I go in there, today he soldered my ground and power wires to a new plug (I dont own a solder gun and I dont know how to solder so he saved me a lot of money). Thats just one example of his kindness and hospitality.

Nice store, nice people the customer service was pretty good but the prices are stiff. I do understand a place has overhead though and Id rather spend my money local than send it someplace else.

When my 11 year old is doing the I gotta pee dance, and I have merchandise in my hands to purchase, you cant use the restroom is the wrong answer. Getting everything from Ventura Hobby. Initial purchase of nearly two hundred dollars with more to follow for this project. Lost sales for Hobby People, not a great way to treat paying customers. Nice store, seemed like a great selection, I wont be back. If Ventura Hobby doesnt have it, Ill get it from Amazon before returning to Hobby People.

Helped me out with my helicopter and adjusted it and showed me how it flew without charging me $30 like Ventura hobby store wanted to charge. Made me feel welcome at the store, not like Ventura Hobby.

I bought a HP lipo battery and did not use it for a couple of weeks, when I went to charge it my charger said low voltage. Went back and spoke to the manager Adam who said that with out a receipt there was nothing he could do. The battery was brand new and had no scratches or even rub marks from use. He tells me rules are rules. I go to HP Encino and they check the battery out and give me a new one in less then 10 minutes. I wont be back to the camerillo store again.

I have done business with hobby people in the past, I recently got back into the hobby of rc car/trucks, I went into the store looking for some hex nuts for a nitro rc truck i recently purchased and one of the older gentlemen with there ( didnt get his name) was very nice and helped me find the part i needed.

Buyer beware, I bought a Traxxas Gravedigger 30th anniversary truck at the Camarillo store. According to the Traxxas internet site the truck comes with an upgraded TQi controller and led lights for the body. When I opened the box I found only aTQ controller and no lights. I wondered why the price was similar to the internet at the store. I should have took some time confirming what I was buying before laying down the $$$$$$$$$$.

Poor customer service. Had a few issues with a Hobby People brand charger and it was not handled properly. Very disappointed in the way the situation was handled, despite the fact that it was their branded product. However, it was my fault for taking their advice in the first place..

This is been second time i stop by before there closing hr and the shop is closed 15min before close time this is b.s if u wanna close early change your stupid hrs lame
