This was a reply from a complaint that their cake was so dry you couldn’t even use a fork to eat it with because it just fell through the prongs when you tried taking a bite! I’m amazed that this place stays in business! The cake decorations were great but it was like eating crumbly styrofoam! Do read on about their reply “Thanks for you input. Your husband did mention you were hard to please and very picky, but we are surprised and disappointed you had such a strong dislike for the cake we made. I can assure it was not a cheap cake as we use organic flour, real vanilla, cage free eggs and pure butter in all of our cakes. We used that same batter for another order and received a very good review from that customer. So, Im not sure why your cake would be so different? We dont typically make that flavor combination and did try to steer your husband in another direction but he seemed very conflicted and kept touching on how hard to please you are. Regardless, its always disappointing on the very rare occasion we get a complaint about our products. However, 9 years of making cakes for people, one valuable lesson we have learned is, there are just some people who will never be happy, no matter what. We are very confident in our products and know for certain they dont taste like Styrofoam. Again, we are so sorry you had such disdain for the cake. We hope you were able to have a good birthday in spite of your unpleasant experience with the cake. It sounds like you have made up your mind about our products, but if you would like to come get a half dozen cupcakes on the house we would be happy to provide you with those. Absolutely the best cake experience weve ever had! We specialty ordered a drip cake because all the other bakeries we spoke to wouldnt do it and were really unprofessional. We went to Cake Happy on a friend referral and so glad we did! Not only is Cake Happy a localy bakery in Camas, WA for us but they made the most beautiful cake ever for my daughters 21st birthday and it tasted as good as it looked!

Been going here for a while now and have never had a bad experience. The owner is always very nice, respectful and the cupcakes are always delicious!

I’ve used cake happy once before in 2015 and loved them. However, my most recent interaction did not impress me. They were short and not timely with their responses. It felt as though I was more of an inconvenience be working with me.When I asked about delivery details ( such as what time they were going to deliver my order, they stayed “we never talked about delivery” although that was my first question in my message to them? And they got my order wrong. Funfetti for top tier and raspberry poppyseed for the bottom. Not too detailed of a request but somehow they managed to flip flop it.I’d tell them my experience directly but my expectation of their response would be close to the lines I’ve received before. Flipping it around on their customer and say “there’s no record of your request for the flavors being layer a certain way”.Anyways, they used to be a great, friendly little bakery. Now I can’t say the same. Not using cake happy again unfortunately and do not recommend if you’d like to get what your order.

Cupcakes are DELICIOUS, but they are pretty expensive. I only come when they have sales or good deals on cupcakes. Coffee is not great either. But when you want a really great cupcake, I definitely suggest this place. Ive never been disappointed with their cupcakes, scones, or cookies! Just delicious!

The owner is rude, the ice cream was so expensive I thought I would have to sell a kidney to financially recover. Had I had any idea, I never would have walked in with my small children. Unfortunately, I couldnt walk out and disappoint the kids. We will never be back though.

First time here and I loved it! I got a smores cupcake and an iced latte.Their buttercream frosting was amazing! It wasnt thick and heavy like usual. They dont add vegetable shortening but just use pure butter which gives it a deliciously light texture.The iced latte was made from cold brew that they make in-house using a nitrogen process. I do wish it had a stronger flavor so next time Ill opt for an iced cold brew without the milk. But it tasted great nonetheless!

I am a regular here. Their coffe is fantastic and custom cakes are amazing!!! I am addicted to their maple scones. This was a custom cake they did for my husband who is an artist. It was a hit!

This only gets three stars because the final product was perfect- beautiful, tasteful, and exactly what I asked for.A $300 wedding cake with a ton of very poor attitude made me happy to be finished with their business. I would definitely recommend using another business for your baked goods.They are not organized, unprofessional in the sense that they basically yell at you to pay them a deposit and then the final amount before you’ve even told them what flavor you want... I was like wait... What?The ladies were very unwelcoming, clearly unhappy, and the communication leading up to the pickup date was so poor that I basically demanded to know that they were going to do it or not while I already had lined up another business to take care of it. I was responded to rudely, but with the big-day approaching I crossed my fingers that all would be well.I emailed and asked the ladies if I could pick up the cake two hours earlier, and was denied, which was fine, but the snarky attitude was not my cup of tea. One small gal offered to bring the cake out to the car, so I was pleased about this, at least.Looks as though there are many similar reviews; check your attitudes ladies.

We have been here several times in the past and have enjoyed Cake Happy; however; we have been turned off by the rude behavior by the younger staff. My wife was mocked and met with a nasty attitude by the staff- its Cake Happy!!?? Its easier to find other bakeries without the snobbery. Read through the reviews, many mixed reviews yet they (we) have the same experiences- average product, local business, nasty service.Sadly, we will no longer support this local business and would suggest friends and family to do the same.

I am a longtime Camas resident, pleased to support businesses in our very own hometown. When I went here to simply inquire about a birthday cake,I was immediately put off by the Caucasian brunette’s rude and unprofessional demeanor. She seemed put out that I walked in, and appeared appalled that I had the audacity to ask about prices and options! She made me feel like an uninvited guest, and this was all in under 60 seconds of walking in. After snapping at me regarding the prices and other establishments “lack of quality ingredients,” I simply turned and walked out. I am such a happy and nice person and to be treated so disrespectfully when I was in such a good mood left me completely flabbergasted. I’ll definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

One of my favorite bakeries and by far the best cupcakes out there. Their baked goods are phenomenal too, especially the scones. I recommend their cold brew. Im so happy to have this wonderful bakery in Camas!

I found this delicious bakery on yelp and am so happy to have found them. I was planning my wedding from California to Washougal and they made it so easy to plan out our cake. We were having a forest wedding and we knew we wanted a unique cake that went with our forest themed wedding. They completely exceeded what we could of imagined. The detail to our couples cake was phenomenal!!! The cake and cupcakes were just as delicious as they looked!!! We ordered 3 dozen cupcakes of the vanilla sprinkle and red velvet to make it easier for our guests to have a sweet treat. The desserts were a complete hit! Thank you so much!!! They delivered our cake and cupcakes with exceptional timing all intact. We have a piece of cake freezing waiting to be enjoyed again on our one year anniversary. :) Thank you cake happy bakery!

Very rude and unwelcoming. I have never ever felt this way at a business before. Extremely stuck up and noses high in the air. Take your money elsewhere! I will definitely not support a business ran like this and by the looks of their reviews I am FAR from the first person to feel this way. Take some customer service lessons ladies! McDonalds has better customer service for crying out loud.

Couldnt find a better and cuter cafe in Camas downtown. Pastries are baked fresh everyday and good selection on the menu board as well as their coffee options. Tried their scones! Thumbs up to this gorgeous coffee shop!👍🏼😊

Ive bin coming here for a while ever sense I found this place while I was walking around Camas. Im a regular coffee drinker and their coffee is some of the best Ive had. They always have enough cupcake verities even when I come right before closing time. Great place to come for dessert and coffee!

Had scone, cupcakes, and coffee. Scone was amazing, one of the best Ive had. Cupcakes were light and good, but nothing out of this world. Coffee is strong, quad shot Americano . Good place for families.

Nothing is out of the realm of possibility for Nikki at Cake Happy to create for a cake! She is just incredibly creative and talented, and the best part is that everything tastes amazing. Plus she doesnt use shortening and processed ingredients or artificial flavors, which is incredibly important to me, and most moms I know. I most recently had them create a cake smash cake for a photo session, and a Hawaiian Hello Kitty cake for my daughters birthday. Both got SO many compliments. If you have any type of special event coming up (or if you just love delicious cake like me!) you have to give Cake Happy a try.

I stopped in with my 8-month-pregnant friend for whom Im helping throw a baby shower. We wanted to find a local shop to order some cupcakes from. We never got as far as ordering, because:-from the moment we walked in, it seemed like we were an annoyance or an inconvenience-the lady working (owner? I dont know) was not enthused to entertain any questions-we werent entirely sure on flavor, so I wondered aloud if she (my pregnant friend) might have a little taste test (certainly not asking for anything free, let alone a whole cupcake, mind you!) and she responded with oh, no, we dont give out *free* samples .... well first of all I was definitely planning to pay for the taste test, and secondly, her comment and attitude made me feel extremely small and silly.After that we just left without ordering.I have spent time since looking for other local bakeries to support for this baby shower. Im sure well find a friendly one! If you have any ideas for me, let me know!

I attended Jeni and Joe Zirk’s wedding tonight. It was sweet of them to have GF cupcakes available. Wow! One bite and I needed to know where they bought them. Yummy chocolate, so moist. I’ll be paying a visit very soon. 👍

Disappointed. Staff costumer service was unwelcoming and snobby. Went with my husband and tried several cupcakes all were dry and had near frozen frosting on top which idk if was on purpose, but for 3.50 a cupcake I was hoping for more. Sad to write a bad review hope this place gets better such a cute concept and place to have in town.

I ordered a custom cake for my Daughters birthday and they did an OUTSTANDING job. It came out exactly like we wanted, they even made the inside layers rainbow colored and I think it was a very reasonable price. Also they have really good cold brew coffee. Only get to Camas once a year but was super excited to find it this year! Delicious cupcakes. Cant wait to go back next summer :)

Stopped in for my birthday and was disappointed. There were only 3 choices of cupcakes. I picked 2 to share with my husband and we both agree that they tasted 2 days old, dry, the frosting was gritty, and tasted somewhat artificial/not homemade. The owner was not the most friendly either.

They did our wedding cake! Love their gluten free cookies and cupcakes!

I ordered a cake for my wedding here. We gave them a simple dragon scale design, which they patchworked together like they rushed last minute. They clearly lost the notes from our tasting because a few days before the wedding they asked for flavors and then the day of they called me mid reception asking for the venue because they didnt have it then got lost. It was late and melted and fell apart in the car. They didnt let anyone help set up or check in and then blamed us when it fell into the dirt 15 minutes later. I had to fight for a refund. They get a 2nd star only because of how delicious their cake is.

Update to original review:After a couples days of waiting, I received a text, which Im very cool with, apologiezing for the delay and the vast list of delicious flavors. After a couple messages back and forth and a short phone call, Im excited to pick up my daughters, Peanuts Gang, birthday cupcakes.Suggestion: Nikki should not let her boyfriend/husband take orders.... Havent been contacted about my order since Ive put it in, unfinished, due to a text of fillings Im supposed to receive. Will follow through because of the high reviews and call and try again. Hopefully I can reach Nikki herself. Future review may differ. But this was my first impression of the bakery.

I’m going to PASS!!Selective customer service.. went in excited after reading reviews, left disappointed by the lack of customer service I received. The attitude wasn’t called for either!At first I thought the person was having a bad day but once I seen her attitude change towards another group, I immediately felt like I was not given the proper greeting from someone looking to make money. Made me feel totally unwelcome.Better to take your money to safeway, their cupcakes are better, you get smiles and friendliness-
