I had a very positive experience every step of the way. I dealt with the owner, his son and two employees who installed the carpet. Everyone was very nice, professional and helpful. I went back and forth with samples and they were very patient. The end result is wonderful. Two flights of a sturdy elegant carpet that we love. The installer paid attention to details of how to match it to seams, etc. really very pleased with the entire experience. I shopped around and they had the most beautiful carpet for the price in the discounted area, no comparison at the other places I looked for really interesting options of colors, texture and patterns. The owner went over all my selections and explained durability versus price, what might be best for our home, etc. Really great service!!!

The owner (or the man who identified himself as the owner) at Lechmere rug is a breathtakingly rude, ignorant, hostile, and dishonest individual. I would never do business here again and would recommend others that there are much better alternatives nearby, such as Cambridge Rug Co, where they are honest, courteous and professional.This following describes my recent experience at Lechemre rug:I purchased a remnant at a reasonable price from a very helpful and professional salesman one evening. I intended to custom cut the remnant to fit the back of my car and planned to return to have the edges bound. The salesman quoted me a price of $10 for each interior corner, and $2.50 per linear foot. When I returned the next day, the original salesman was not there and the owner was the only one working. I told him that I was back to have the carpet bound and explained to him that the salesman from the previous night had already quoted me a price for it and which he actually wrote down on the recipe. The owner refused to accept this and said thats not right, its always been $25. Unfortunately I didnt have the recipe from the previous night on me (although it turned out that would not have made a difference anyway) but I said I would be happy to bring it back when I came to pick up the carpet and pay for it then. The owner wrote out a receipt and said he was giving me a good deal but when i looked at the slip he was still charging me $25 per interior corner... more than twice the rate i had been promised when i purchased the carpet. when I asked him to clarify why he would not honor the written price the other salesman gave me he simply spat out if you dont want me to do it take your business somewhere else. he then went on to say that they gave me the remnant (which I paid $45 for!!) and all this other nonsense. he then threw out the sip and told me to take my business elsewhere. It was really unbelievable how hostile and aggressive he was. I had no idea what was wrong with him. Maybe he was having a bad day but that kid of behavior is unacceptable. Dont shop there unless you are interested in a similar experience.

I had such a great experience with Lechmere rug I just had to write a review. I purchased my family room area rug from them over a year ago and with lots of wear and tear the binding started to separate from the rug. I called them and they sent someone right away to repair. No questions asked. Everyone I have worked with at Lechmere has been great. I definitely recommend to anyone I know looking for a rug.

We purchased new carpeting for our Beason Hill condo last month and it was installed last week. I was impressed with the selection and quality of the carpet this store offered. Sales people are thorough and knowledgeable and installers, hard working and competent.

As I walked in, they seemed willing to serve me. The moment I told the person who was serving me that my budget was limited, he literally turned his back abruptly to me and walked away.

Service was prompt and friendly, and prices were reasonable.

We have shopped exclusively at Lechmere Rug for over 30 years for all our properties...absolutely the best prices and service!
