I have lived in San Jose for 18 years, many weekends we go to Campbell for lunch and visit this bookstore. The girls who work here are friendly and well informed. In one of the windows there is a cat, I love these animals, we rescued a beautiful one, it has deep blue eyes, its name is Blue. We have the habit of listening to classical music on Mondays after dinner and we read books, so we are always attentive to the news. Our latest acquisition: Dune, long and complicated but very interesting. In this age of digital everything, it is very rewarding to exercise your mind with reading. Stop by this place and buy a book. Your brain will thank you.

Great book store. Max the cat was busy sitting on the computer keyboard when I walked in. I love that he has a little home in the corner of the store. His favorite book is “Where the Wild Things are”. This store has a large LGBT book selection. Store will buy used books and sell them. New books can be found here as well. Store attendant was welcoming.

This store has such a welcoming and lovely environment and a huge variety of books. I also love their blind date with a book feature because its always fun to buy a surprise!

I never want to discourage others about this type of business as there should be more of them. When I walked in it looked like no one was working so I started perusing. Shortly after another few walked in and were greeted happily by the attendant there. I thought it strange that I did not get the same welcome as I realized she was in an inconspicuous spot. I kept looking and heard the latter customers leave while getting a friendly thanks for coming. I was then enjoying the variety and almost made a purchase before I got a text prompting my need to leave. Sure enough no words as I exited. Id go back as there are never too many books one can have.

As a broke student who loves books, I very much appreciate this quaint bookstore. Also, by repurchasing old books (at a lower cost than the original price of course) it’s pretty environmentally friendly! But that’s not all folks! You can even trade in some of your own books (given if they are in a condition to be legible and loved) for some store credit! :D I simply adore the atmosphere, very cozy and makes you feel alright in this chaotic world. Plus the friendly workers make it a definitely reassuring and warm place to escape to. Love that it’s local too!

This iconic local book shop is a treasure trove for childrens books, both new and used. We love taking our son there. Theyre handling COVID safety very seriously and ensure everyone wears a mask, limits numbers strictly, and keeps things clean. We really appreciate our local book store.

Prices are a little steep, but Im always a fan of bookstores, and it is in downtown. They have a cat too! His name is Bob and he is a staple here. Found some gems that Im excited to read.

‘Recycle Bookstore’ is my new go-to bookstore! They offer a wide variety of books, all at reasonable price points!! Plus, the staff are very patient and kind. Will be returning soon.

Anytime we come to Campbell we bring our daughter to Recycle book store to see is new for her. I like the selection of books from science fiction to WW2. They will also take good condition books from you to get store credit and help them by infusing some new titles, just have them take a look and they will let you know what they like. Check website for trading days before you take them down!

I love this local recycle bookstore in downtown Campbell! Its wonderful to have a place to take books that Ive finished with but dont love enough to keep. I especially appreciate that I can get credit to use for future purchases. In addition to used books, they have a nice selection of current non-fiction. if you live in the area and havent checked them out yet, I highly recommend recycle bookstore West in downtown Campbell!

This place is amazing and clean. Not big compared to other recycled bookstore, but great none the less. They have a large selection of kids books and comic books in the front. If you are looking for new books that just came out, but are slightly used, this is the place to hit up. Most of the books are in very good condition. There is a cat that roams the store. His name is Max. If he likes you, he will let you pet him. He is usually perched up in front.

Great store, location, good sci-fi and mystery selection plus other topics. There are are a certain amount of brand new books they stock. After, you can find several coffee shops in walking distance to read your purchases. I didnt see any cats today but theres usually one around. They dont buy books on Sunday or Monday.

Books and cat, nice enough! Feeling lucky? You may discover some rare books there, or Max the cat may greet you in store. If you visit on Sunday morning, there is a farmers market outside.

Recycle Books is a really fun book store with a great selection of new and used books. Its great for just perusing, though I struggle to leave without a really cool reading option.Their kids section is huge and full of a diverse selection for readers of all ages.Its definitely worth a visit if youre at all into reading.

A friend who has shopped here for many years brought me in and I love it! Huge selection of books, super friendly staff, great prices, and most importantly, Bob the cat! They also have this cool thing: mystery books. A book wrapped up in brown paper, with a few key words written on the front to give you a general idea of what the book is about. The rest is a surprise when you get it home and unwrap it! I will definitely return.

Loved this little book shop. It has a really nice selection of books and a great staff working there. They also have this cool concept of mystery books which give you a random book for a theme, which feels like a really great way to recycle out old books that arent selling will and people also discover hidden gems.

Come here every so often and always find some great reads. The staff is helpful, the store is clean, light and very well organised. They also have a large selection of new books, mixed in through their used sections.

This is a great bookstore that was discovered by accident I was visiting the Farmers Market and Wallah this what store was right in the path so my mom and I went in and discovered a real gem!! We stayed in there for an hour it was wonderful they have all kinds of books and they also buy books so if you have a bunch of books sitting around you can bring them down here and you can either get cash or you can get credit to buy more books and if you get the credit they give you more in value or your books its just a really nice wonderful place if you like books. I will be coming back here soon!

We love to come and get recycled books. Some new and some used. We make our own little library and its so much fun. We love to see the cat Max.

Its always a delight to come in and see whats available. New and used books at incredibly reasonable prices. The ability to trade in used books is a plus as well. Staff is always friendly and helpful, no matter how swamped with customers they are.

Wonderful local bookstore...They have many new best sellers as well as a number of used books. They have a great selection of used childrens books. They have all the popular kids books, but there are also some hidden gems (I once found a beautiful leather bound collection of Beatrix potter books). The only drawback is that they dont buy back too many books.

Eclectic selection, not just stock fare. Often old books on unusual topics. Friendly cat on staff. Nice for people who haunt used book stores.

Not my favourite used bookstore of all time. A lot of their stock is new books and they mainly only carry popular titles. Its great just to see one at all, though, these days and I can rarely resist popping inside when Im downtown.The location in San Jose is larger and has more personality and a much better selection.Both locations keep shop cats and they are very fond of them. The stores have cat trees and there is a section on their website devoted to the cats. I think this location may currently be going through a grieving period following the passing of their most recent cat, Bob Newhart. At any rate, its been several months and they have not acquired a new cat yet.Prices are decent and, interestingly, they always have a clearance section.

Finding this book store solidified the choice of moving to Campbell. The ability to support a recycle book store just a short bike ride away from home was something I didnt know I wanted. The process of bringing in books to sell was smooth. I even got to enjoy cuddles with their resident cat, Bob Newheart. Recycle Book Store also has an amazing and wide selection of books and even coloring books too!!

So Many Books!!! And the lady at the front (i forgot to get her name) was really nice in helping me find a book i couldnt find anywhere else! Definitely coming back here 🖤

Its nice to be able to go to such a clean friendly book store instead of just shopping online. I miss being able to stroll the book cases. Their shop cat is a blast too! Just wish it was organized in a more streamline fashion.

A place where kids can browse for hours. Great selection of new and used books. My daughter went hunting for the Magic Tree House books and although she didnt find all the ones she wanted, she sure had a great time finding other series and checking all the different versions of Happy Potter books.

I like this bookstore. They have a huuuge selection of childrens books. Ive yet to be there when the cat is in. 😸 I will keep trying. Their exchange prices are fair as well. Its great for childrens books. My 8 year old keeps compiling books 📚 we go to this store and exchange giant stacks for more reasonably sized new stacks. Their used books are always in great shape. Their other sections are full of great buys as well. I highly recommend you try this bookstore before any other. You will not be disappointed.

This is one of my most favorite stores to visit. I have bought and sold books and they give you the choice of a credit towards purchase or cash. The employees are always helpful and polite. I enjoy the ambience of the place not to mention their Orange Tabby cat, Bob.There selection is very good, prices are competitive and they have a huge selection of Childrens books, some new, some used.They provide a much needed service for those of us that like real books but have difficulty stomaching the full price of new books.

There are so many options for new or used or even rare finds. Looking to collect some leather editions you should take advantage of those found here. It can get busy here if you are looking to sell on the weekends but the book buyer is on their game. Take a chance to get away from the ebook or audio book and pick up a real book.
