I had super high hopes, I love to support small book places because I think it’s adorable. However, my brain could not process the mess that the books were in. They were organized by genre, yes. But they were not in any order and they were ones hiding as well. I really feel like some organization to the way the books are displayed would help a lot. It’s just whatever you can actually see you can buy.

Paperback Place has an interesting and vibrant selection. She thoroughly offers an array of items across all genres of fiction and a solid collection of nonfiction. Used books are also available and she is very mindful of the quality and condition of such items.In my experience, she is more than willing - happy even - to order items for customers and the prices are competitive.Perhaps not a Meg-Ryan-warm-and-bubbly-bookshop-proprietress, the shop owner listens to her patrons and makes every effort to meet their needs with future stock purchases.Though I do not buy nearly as many books as in previous years, I always look forward to browsing the shelves and strongly encourage shoppers to support this small business over Amazon and big box stores. Paperback Place is a sorely underrated gem in downtown Canandaigua.

Quite the variety of book here with super great prices too. They have a book trade too that gets you half off a used book.

Love it!Great if your looking for a great book

This this little shop is really the best place to go for books in Canandaigua. they get new books in all the time, and have a large back catalog of old books to pick through for very affordable prices. The owner is very knowledgeable and very helpful.I highly recommend stopping in if you are looking for a particular book.

The lady that works here is always really nice and doesnt bother you when you just want to roam around and get lost looking at all the books. I go straight to the back to look for my classics like Jane Austen. Its here I discovered my first book by Austen, Emma. Which is my favorite book in the entire world, so much so that Im naming my daughter Emma. :) It was years ago I found that book! And it probably cost under $5! Now I have a collection of classics and most were found at this little gem!

I will always love having a bookstore that is local. Has far prices. Wonderful place

I like this place - you can get a great deal on used books, especially if you bring in your own used books to trade.The selection is a little hit or miss but that is okay - I like to just rummage around and see what I find. If you are looking for a particular book that might be a bit different.There are some parts of the building that are in a bit of disrepair but I dont really care about that. Im just there to find a book, not move it.

Didnt find the book I was originally looking for, but discovered that there is a novelization of Suicide Squad so I bought that. A book lover can spend HOURS looking and more then likely find new book to take home.

Great place to purchase the latest reads and shes able to get them for you, in a timely fashion.
