Great people great service!!
Service was great and the people were friendly. Now Im hoping they can get inventory
Have left 4 requests on their website for info and quote on Mule SX with roof & windshield. Apparently no one is checking this as we have NOT heard one word from them. Must be nice not to want an $8000 sale, Guess I will go with John Deere or Polarus
Great service.. good people.. take your bike here!!
I recently purchased a 2009 Triumph Rocket III Touring motorcycle from Canadaigua Motorsports and the experience was nothing less than stellar. Joel set up my appointment and Andy handled the sale and prep for my new bike. Customer service was second to none! The attention to detail and interaction with several customers, including the previous owner of the bike (who happened to drop in while I was there) made my day!I will only go to Canadaigua Motorsports for my service and maintenance. They are true professionals and my new friends for sure.
I love these guys. Ive had multiple services done and bought a few bikes here. There always super friendly and courteous. Well worth the experience!
Fast, friendly service
Just bought my first bike here and can not say enough good things about these guys! I dealt with Andrew and Everett and both of them were phenomenal. Andrew helped me select a good bike and ensure it was a good fit, then Everett helped me select the accessories to go with the bike. Both of them were very kind, patient, and knowledgeable, which was great as I am still a new rider. The service department was also very helpful as they were able to get my bike ready to go in only a few hours so I could take it home with me later that day. Before I left Andrew also walked me through everything I needed to know about the bike, from pre start routine, how to break in the bike, and all the adjustments/maintenance that it will need. Thanks again, and I look forward to all of my future purchases with you guys!
Very helpful.....havent had a bad experience yet....been going there for several years now.....staff has been helpful and courteous
Excellent people fantastic work. ThanksGot the bike out yesterday. It runs great. Thanks again.
They never check their website requests
Was going to come cash in hand for a youth wheeler. Told me that they had some in stock but because we lived too far away they wouldnt sell us it. What a joke. (Only live an hour away)
Never had any bad experiences. Im in there a lot and everyone is always very helpful. Andrew has been more than helpful with any parts, advice and even sold my latest bike to me. Fantastic fit. The little help Ive needed from service has been quick and fair. Definitely recommend these guys over some of the other local options.
We bought a new UTV, minor issue with the steering column - CMS sent someone out within an hour of calling and had it fixing. Amazing service!
Recommendations and Reviews onCanandaigua Motor Sports in Canandaigua, NYI normally dont do this, and find it quite distasteful, however this warrants my time and disdain. In June of 2018, I took my Kawasaki Jet Ski to this shop for a recall notice, annual service and an issue where after running for about 15 minutes, the battery light would flash, beep and it would die. I went back, a 40 minute drive from our lake house and 3 hours from home, picked it up and paid for all the service, and took it back to Penn Yan. I put it in the water, and it immediately died again. I called and returned it, where it has stayed for almost a year. We communicated back and forth, and they told me they thought it was the starter. I authorized them to tear it apart and fix it. Sometime, in the middle of the winter, they called me and asked if I planned on picking it up, when I asked if it was fixed? The man told me he didnt know, and would call me back. In Early June, I started calling them again, prior to our family vacation at our house and was informed that they were unsure of the status, but would pull it in and check it again, and call me. 2 or 3 more calls from me I was informed that it locked up, and needed a new motor. I told them to just put it together, and I would pick it up and take it back to PA to decide what to do with it. At this point I was informed they would put it all together and call me. After no call, I called and said I would be up for it the next day, and was informed it would cost me 3 hours of labor. I protested, and they told me they were giving me a break by not charging me 5 hours that were supposedly put in, and for storage over the winter. Obviously, I was blown away, and protested, and was pretty much told I wouldnt get any more favors ever. I drove up, got it, and paid. My observation is that it was parked in the exact place I last saw it, and was filthy, and on the end of a chain of locked trailers, so Im not sure they ever looked at it this last week. I got it back to our lake house, and opened the compartments, and found that there was no battery. I calmly called and told them about the battery, and was informed that they took all of them out for the winter (further reinforcing their lack of candor in looking at it this week) and that they would pull it out for me, and I could pick it up. I told them it was a 40 minute drive one way on my last day of vacation, and asked if they could do something, like credit the charges for the price of a battery, or ship it to me. They informed me that they had already done enough for me, by waiving the 2 hours of labor. I have elected to just give up on the battery.I make no statement other than these facts as I know them.
Good bunch of people to work with. I bought a bike and had some modifications/add on items installed. Everything was done just right- the items that were added on looked like they came that way from the factory. Good communications on getting everything done and picking up the bike.
I bought a 2017 Triumph off the showroom floor from Andrew. I gave them a call Thursday and picked up the bike Saturday. It was ready to go plates, registration, stickers and the specific modifications I wanted. I was in and out in 2 hours. Andrew took an hour of that time to walk me through the owners manual, maintenance and how to adjust the levers and seat. 5/5 buying experience. Would recommend!
Just bought my 2016 Kawasaki Mule 4010 from Canandaigua Motorsports. Bob was absolutely fantastic, not your typical sales person! After multiple trips to different dealerships, I found that Bob was most genuine and more focused on what I wanted then about making a sale. Will absolutely recommend and return back to Canandaigua Motorsports! Thank you Bob and Andy!
Made an inquiry about purchasing a 2020 Ninja 1000SX from Kawasaki website . Never heard back from them. Also did the same with K&H Kawasaki. Was contacted the next day. Guess Ill go with K&H.
Just picked up a new bike. Was the only store in area that would open the crate to look at one. Seemed very knowledgeable. and was helpful.
I dropped off my 2003 GL1800 on May 13, 2019. Turn signals did not work but four ways did. I was assured that they had a Gold wing Tech as well as access to Honda Tech support if needed. What bothers me is their lack of communication with me regarding the progress of the bike. The service department never followed up with calls to me as promised. The turn around time for the agreed work was unacceptable. I did not feel valued as a customer. The issue was never resolved despite 1100 dollars in labor costs. I picked up my bike on August 30, 2019. No resolution.
Good service, prompt attention. Knowledgable service writer. A tad pricey, $90+ for an oil change and a new filter. Ill continue to bring my 74 R60 there for work.
In the market for my first motorcycle so I stopped here to talk to the sales people on recommendation from a couple friends. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, answered all of my questions and werent pushy at all. They have a good diversity in stock and showed me that I had more choices in bike selection than I originally thought I did. Now I have some more shopping around to do, but I feel like Ill be coming back when I finally make a decision!
Nice friendly and knowledgeable staff. Not very pushy. Service area appears well organized.
I was recently in the area during a cross country motorcycle trip. Was visiting a local sight when I came back to my bike to discover a complete flat back tire. Got everything as “ok” as I could with very minimal tools and immediately headed to this shop to make sure everything was ok as I was already 1200 miles away from home. Pulled up and saw service dept is closed on Wednesday( which it happened to be Wednesday ) got directed to Andrew who immediately had me pull into the service dept and proceeded to go over the tire, and then he addressed a couple other things that had popped up over the course of our trip. Can’t thank him enough for taking care of me and my issues and putting me safely back on the road.
Bought groms with a bunch of buddies to have some fun and commute on. Andy was a huge help throughout the whole process and very informative on any question that we asked. They made the whole buying process a breeze as well as had the best price of anywhere in the area, look forward to doing business with them again in the future!
The only place I have my CB 919 serviced at. Not always the fastest place during the riding season so Id call ahead before bring your ride in. Once you have your machine serviced there they never forget you or what you ride which is nice. Friendly service.
Service manager, Matt, always does a great job. Fast and friendly service. Never had an issue with anyone. Get my bikes inspected there and my tires changed all the time.
I recently made a purchase at this dealership. I was very pleased with the experience. Great customer service, lots of options to choose from, and very knowledgeable sales associates. I would definitely recommend them!
Andrew was top notch. Thorough and knowledgeable. I never felt pressured.
Bought a bike from these guys. They were helpful and informative, without pressuring. Would recommend you do your homework first, then go buy a bike from a great shop.
I bought my bike here and gave had it serviced. When I bought my bike, it was my 1st bike, I think the staff was just as excited for me as I was. The sales department treated this lady, 1st time bike rider, with respect and consideration. I got a very fair price and incredible service. Ive also had minor work done in the service dept and was very pleased. I found the people knowledge and more than willing to explain things to me. I will continue to be a loyal customer! They really treat you like a family friend.
Awesome buying experience. I bought a Honda Quad for my son for his birthday. Alyssa couldnt have made it easier. She is a great sales person. Purchased it over the phone and picked it up later that week. Priced it right the first time, and had it all ready to go, paperwork done as promised. They have a really nice showroom with lots of inventory.Thank you.
I came just a few days ago to get my bike serviced, the service manager, I believe his name was Don was great to me! He explained to me exactly what was wrong with my bike, and made sure I knew what it would take to get it fixed. They did the look over in a very fashionable time. While I was waiting I decided to take a look around the current bikes they had on the floor. I was amazed to see the different variety of bikes, and quads they had. I was greeted by a very nice lady, Alyssa, a lady in the sales, and was made sure I was taken care of by everyone there. I will definitely be bringing all of my business there in the future along with giving out recommendations to all my friends and family!!
This place is top notch..mhave always taken great care of us for years
Orderd parts week ago and said they would be in today, and yet to show up so never will I order from them again
Andrew is the best. Works the parts counter .cares about his customers
Competent staff, trustworthy mechanics.
Recently purchased a 2015 Cb500f from this location and very pleased with the service i got! Andrew helped me walk out the door with a brand new motorcycle, and even stayed later than the closing time so that i didnt have to come back another day. Great knowledgeable people working here and take care of thier customers very well!
Nice place. Great customer service
Thanks to Andrew and the team at Canandaigua Motorsports for the excellent and courteous service. The team was great to work with!
One of my favorite places to go. New motorcycles from Kawasaki, Honda, Triumph, and Suzuki. Sales and service. Also have riding apparel and performance goodies.
Ordered parts multiple times and took over 3 weeks with no call. Called them and they couldnt find the ordered parts? If you are looking for parts now, your best bet is go somewhere else.
Just recently had some aftermarket handlebars put on my c90 boss and I couldnt be any happier with the rezults. This place is all ways on top of your every need and take their time to back sure your every need is meet.
I have bought 3 bikes from Canandaigua Motorsports in the past two riding seasons. That fact should say it all. They did a great job customizing my Triumph STR with a laundry list of after market parts before I took delivery. I also get all my riding gear through them, my last ICON helmet came in the very next day! They are a pleasure to work with.
Bought a new cruiser today from here. Best customer experience anyone could expect. Friendly, well informed, and respectful. Hands down best dealership Ive been to.
Waited for ever to get service that was second rate at best.
Its always a pleasure visiting, and the staff is great.
I have purchased two motorcycles here as well as gear and service. My experience is mostly good. Customer service is excellent. Andrew is the person to go to here. They will order your parts if you are a diy person or will service your motorcycle, atv, jet skis, etc.
Great service department. Sales staff courteous and knowledgeable!
Great people great shop. Miss the triumphs.
I have been bringing my Honda Magna to Canandaigua Motorsports for service over 7 years now and I have never had a problem. They have always been friendly and they do good solid work. Recently I had an issue and the necessary part wasnt available through Honda but they found something for me and I was pretty impressed by the amount of legwork they did to help me out. I highly recommend these guys for service and parts both.
Took in a 06 Suzuki gs500 road it to the store, needed new petcock valve and which by the way was 120 compared to the same part for 100 less on amazon.... And also needed a inspection. Got a call a week later that it needed a new wheel bearing and handlebars to pass inspection. Took over 2 weeks for a dealership to get parts in. I was even upcharged on the handlebars because the ones they ordered were on (backorder) another week goes by im told my bike would be finished Tuesday but never got a call. I finally call them on thursday only to find out that that carb needs to removed and cleaned even though I drove it there fine. Saying that nothing they did caused the carb to go, even though the carb was fine when I took it there because I was able to physically ride it there. At this point labor itself is over 400 and im told its going to be another 350 to fix the carb. I told the lady on the phone ill just come get it and asked her if it was still in condition to ride, so I can take it home and have the carb looked at. She tells me yes so I drive to the store to see that it can barley run and dies if I even breath on the throttle. Never actually Got to speak to a real mechanic about it either, only the cashier at the counter. Got it back in far worse shape then when I took it there and they clearly just wanted to suck more money out of me. Imagine paying over 800 dollars and getting it back unable to ride and told you have to pay another 350. Had to pick it up with a trailer after again paying them over 800 already. Most unprofessional business ive ever dealt with. My advice to everyone, avoid getting any work done here unless your willing to break the bank and potentially be lied too. I really hope the owner reads this. 800 bucks and I get it back worse then when I dropped it off what a joke.
Great and attentive sales department! One of the few places around I would get a bike from!
The entire buying process was so buttery smooth, it was actually very enjoyable. Will go back again. Thanks, Andrew!
Excellent cycle shop, great service and friendly knowledgeable staff.
Took a dirt bike engine here for a rebuild and was told the case was cracked when they tore the whole engine apart. There are no cracks in the engine just casting marks from the manufacturer. Very disappointed
Best Experience I have ever had!! Everyone is very nice and welcoming very much a family oriented business I would recommended to anyone!! And will be a forever customer with canandaigua motorsports! :) thank you guys for your fantastic service.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great selection of bikes and atvs/utvs. Highly recommended!
My first time buying an atv and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Andrew and staff were amazing .
I bought my first bike (a 2010 Kawasaki Vulcan 900) from this shop almost 3 years ago. The sales staff were helpful and gave me a great price on the bike, service staff did excellent work on the bike during regular maintenance and got my bike patched up and running like new after an accident. Last November I bought a Triumph Rocket 3 from them, and my experiences have been similarly great. Sales folks were friendly and helpful, but its the service department that sets them apart. The folks in service (particularly Andy, but all the staff have been great) have had endless patience looking up parts for me, answering my newbie questions and helping me to put together a couple of mods for my bike.Despite my almost daily calls and what Im sure has felt like constant pestering, Andy has been willing to give me information and advice over the phone and in person at the shop. Ive seen nothing but great attitude, extremely helpful and friendly customer service, efficient turnaround and top notch work come out of Canandaigua Motorsports and I am happy to turn to them whenever I need work done.
The entire buying process was so buttery smooth, it was actually very enjoyable. Thanks, Andrew!
Warranty recall, nice people, bike ready on time.
I came in just before closing time with a problem with my motorcycle. The service department stayed open, resovled the problem with my motorcycle, and I was able to ride home. This is a great store. What other motorcycle store would have done that. Im a customer for life. Thanks Canandaigua Motorsports
Wow so impressed with how friendly and knowledgeable Meagan in the Service Dept is. I came in 20 minutes before closing on a Saturday asking if any techs could double check my clutch as I knew it had too much free play and what oil changes cost.Without any hesitation, or any condescending remarks or how theyre closing soon, she walks out to my bike and adjusts it on the spot. Utterly impressed! She said her and another co-worker talk about adjusting their free play on their bikes all the time as each person will like a slightly different feel. Thats what I needed was to get it into spec so I could feel it and then get used to that adjustment. Asked her about doing oil changes and just was so pleasant and awesone to deal with compared to another shop locally. Will be doing all my business and future sales here.
Very friendly love coming here they always help me out and remember my face.
Great service, always friendly, seems like they are glad to see you. If I am looking for something to ride, I always go there first.
Easy and quick purchase. Im happy
They are a great bunch of friendly group of people at Canandaigua motorsports especially Blair Miles she is sweet and kind and always has a smile and always ready to help
Great people and service.
Terrible customer service, very rude, parts dont show by time they stated, taking my business elsewheres!
Sank my brothers jetski, got mine back from doing gas tank recall and my ski hook the main ground up in wrong spot. Ski wouldnt stay running told me I needed a wire harness that I bought and didnt need. Fix that problem my self. Ski doesnt run right still and the gas line feed and return line to the tank they put in are so loose they came right off. Ski was sucking air in while running. Had my ski for 3 Months to do recall because they broke the part the tank sits on and had to order a new one!!Called and they were no help in the matter!!! Never recommend this place to anyone I know 😡😡😡😡😡
Shady and not trustworthy. I dropped off my Suzuki quad for a recall item (oil seal) and asked them if they could also give it a good cleaning, since I had taken it mudding and only gotten it as clean as an amateur with a garden hose.Firstly, they didnt let me know when it was ready. I had to call a couple weeks after I dropped it off and see what was going on.Secondly, when I went to pick it up they asked me to wait 15-20 minutes because they had just taken my fuel pump out to test it on someones else quad... what?? When I questioned it they assured me it was common practice and that it was easier for them to just test mine out before ordering the part for their other customer in case that wasnt the issue... So I waited patiently and thought about it. When I went to cash out (to pay for the cleaning) I let them know that what they did was shady. The service person fully stood behind what they did.Heres the thing - if I hadnt come at that exact time and day, I never would have known what they did! I dropped my quad off for service and cleaning, and I did NOT consent to them stripping parts from my quad to temporarily test it out in another machine, ridiculous! I was not offered any kind of compensation or even an apology. Why would Canandaigua Motorsports think its ok to use my quad as a parts shelf?? I made them make a note on my invoice about what they did, just in case I ever have an issue with my fuel pump. They werent planning to make any kind of notation about it beforehand. And the kicker is my quad was barely cleaner then when I dropped it off. All kinds of dirt still coating a ton of the underside, not what I paid $50 for. I will never give this business another dime or trust them with my property again. Beware of this shady business! Apparently these guys do whatever they want with your property while its at their shop!
Excellent people to deal with, especially Andy 👍
Excellent service team with super communication skills
Seem friendly good service so fy
Very good
I was looking to purchase a kx 85 for my son and wanted some info and pricing. We walked around for 10 min and nobody even acknowledged that we were there, from the parts dept or the sales department. I drive a long way to get snubbed. Im going to purchase the bike somewhere else.
I am in process of taking them to small claims court ! Dont buy from them, they are liars
Being new to the area from Rochester I did not know of any motorcycle shops that could help me with maintenance and service for my Kawasaki zx6r. When I first found Canadaigua Motorsports I was pleasantly surprised at the outgoing enthusiastic welcome to me at the front door. Immediately I felt as if I had found a place where I could just stop by and say hello and simply connect with the employees on a two wheel basis. Whether or not it was the parts counter helping me with my wish list of accessories I was looking for, or Don in service making sure I knew what services and things to keep my eye on as I enjoyed my bike in this new and wonderful area. Kudos to what I like to refer to now as my shop, and I will see you guys on the 14th for the ride too Glenn Curtis Museum.
Best place in town for repairs and motorcycles.
Great hometown dirt track racing
Over sells everything. Service manager will not give me my rare yamaha carbs back. He should not be able to test drive motorcycles as he can not navigate a clutch and hills, Watched him take off with kick stand down. Also been known to wipe out on bicycles. Can not diagnose simple repairs and when he is wrong, will try and avoid anymore conversation. Has his girlfriend BLAIR write fake reviews as she does not even own a motorcycle. Save your money and do not be charged 300 bucks for a battery installation.
I just want to compliment the crew at canandaigua motorsports for putting together a great show last wednesday with Jason Britton..Not only did I enjoy the show but it gave me an opportunity to check out your store. I was very impressed to find Honda products as they are hard to find elsewhere in the Rochester area. A special thanks to Megan Wood and Rich Baker for answering all my questions and helping out. You have a bunch of great employees there. Keep up the great work. I plan on returning soon.
I cant speak to the sales department but as for the service department...never have I had a worse experience. I fix everything on my motorcycle but for this I felt I could use an opinion of a dealer. Brought bike in to have valves checked and re-shimmed as well as throttle bodies synced. I specifically told the service manager that i was experiencing handlbar and foot peg vibrations that were a sudden onset and had never been there before. i was told the enire job would take a week and I would receive a phone call as to when the work was done and my bike was ready to pick up. One week goes by so I called for an update...was told they hadmt even looked at it yet and that they would call me...another week goes by so I, being upset, call for an update. Hasnt been look at still! Youre motorcycle will be ready to pick up on a thursday they finally told me, but we will call you if anything changes. I have to call them on thursday bc i received no such call! And guess what...my bike is still not done. He tells me We just ordered the new gasket for the top end of the motorcycle....excuse me? You knew what the job was before I waited the month for the appointment bc you claimed that was the earliest you could get me in and yet you just ordered the new gasket? At this point, the service department was aware of what work was to be performed for over a month and had just ordered the new gasket on the day they told me bike would be ready. After being told they would contact me 4 different times and never hearing from them I finally called them and they sad i could come pick my bike up...I got there and they charged me the same price for checking the valves that i had been qouted to be the maximum i would pay if every valve needed adjustment...are you fing kidding me. Whatever i just want my bike at this point. I got on it to leave and my air dam covers werent even installed on the bike...so they go get those and put them on in front of me...i hit the start button and nothing. The service manager comes over and tells me the guy that took it on a test ride used the kill switch but left the key on and my headlight drained my battery. Now im pretty convinced they never bothered to check my valves and just wrote up a fake spec sheet to show me they were within spec...oh and as for the original complaint about my bike i gave them being the handle bar buzz? Still there. Stay away from this garage. If you have work done there after reading endless amounts of bad reviews...then its your fault. Wish I had investigated a little further before I had brought mine there. Just because you think that bringing something to a dealer means youre dealing with professionals and may have to pay a bit more to get a high level of work done on something doesnt mean you will. I hope Honda does an undercover evaluation of this place...they will lose their contract through them.
Worked with andrew who is an excellent sales man. Wasnt pushing at all when i was looking at utvs and when i was ready to buy he was more than helpfull. If someone is looking for some toys i would recommend you to go to canandauiga motor sports and speak with andrew!!
I love any place that had motorcycles
As another reviewer said, Andrew is the parts God, I whole heartedly agree!!!My son is a die hard Honda dirt bike owner who does a majority of his repairs himself. Andrew most recently printed out a clutch assembly schematic which enabled my 16 year old son to reassemble his clutch in his CR125. Once parts were ordered, they always tell me when I should expect them and then I get a phone call when they arrive! Andrew also is a treasure trove of advice not only for mechanical repairs but in motorcycle accessories and future bikes to consider. I have no reason to go to anywhere else!!!
Needed assistance putting on a new seat and Paul the service manager and his crew helped get the job done and asked for nothing more than a handshake...top notch crew and facility..thank you Canandaigua Motorsports!!
DO NOT GO HERE! I brought my bike to them to have the carbs cleaned and my initial quote more than doubled. During that part of the service it was there from 7/30-8/13. When I picked it up and drove down the road the bike broke down. I called for them to come tow it back and they swore they test drove it and it was fine, making me feel like an idiot. They kept it there to look at and it wasnt until 8/24 that it was finally fixed according to them. I drove it to Vermont and back shortly after and knew something was still off because the bike was idling at 4000 RPMs whenever Id stop but they swear it is an unrelated issue and will not fix what they already started. Funny thing is that in the repair order it states Found the idle to be high - 3600 to 4200 RPMs. Inspected the carb assembly for air leaks. Found air leaks at the intake boots, cylinder side… SOUNDS RELATED TO ME. It will cost you an arm and a leg at this place because the labor hours alone add up since they arent sure what theyre doing. To add to it, not only had I purchased this bike from them in 2006 but I mistakenly purchased a new bike from them just weeks before this whole mess. I regret having given them my business.
Good parts service and the bike sales guys arnt pushy at all when your walking through the showroom to get to the parts counter. theyve become my first spot for anything bike related
Locally owned & great people!
After wandering the store for more than ten minutes I had to approach them. There was two guys and a woman working. Apparently my Ttiumph question was a bother to them. Never will I go in this store again and Triumph should seriously reconsider them as a dealer.
Good people, pricey.
Amazing Services!
Awesome place!
Worst service that Ive ever seen. Took a bike there to rebuild the carb and they ended up keeping it almost 2 years. When I finally got the bike back it was a mess. Broken plastic, missing pieces, my battery compartment was zip tied to the bike not bolted in and it melted on my exhaust pipe because it wasnt being held up by anything except loose zip ties. On top of all the damage the support was awful. They couldnt keep their story straight on what was happening with the bike. One guy says its almost ready the other says they havent touched it in weeks. I would warn anyone with any kind of bike besides Kawasaki to stay away from this shop.
Always helpful..!
