VERY helpful over the phone, got me all set up with a rental for my son in less than ten minutes. Looking forward to going down in person for the balance of our music supplies.
Came in for strings and was told by the guy there that they would restring, polish, and setup my guitar for 36 dollars including the strings I picked out which I made sure to ask. I came back the next day to pick it up and they only restrung it, and I was charged 50 dollars. Trying to support local but not ideal for a broke college kid
Everytime Ive walked in Ive had a good experience. The staff is helpful and their prices are reasonable.
Called into Mobile music, and first let me say they were very helpful over the phone. I needed my truss rod to be adjusted on my James Hetfield White-Cross Signature guitar. It took me longer to drive there then it did for the actual labor adjusting the truss rod. Then to make things even better, when I went to pay for the work, they said dont worry about it. So they did work on my guitar and were absolutely awesome. On top of that they are more then willing to answer any questions you may have about instrument repairs. I give Mobile Music a 5 star because of their hospitality and their professional work as well. Thank you Mobile Music!
Im loving my piano lessons through this store.
Great little music store! I get reeds here all the time. Unfortunately, I ordered a music book here that they had to order, and it didnt come in for a really long time. I have brought my clarinet in for repairs during busy times, and they made an effort to have it done as soon as possible!
Friendly and professional service.
They didnt have my preferred guitar strings, which is no big deal, but, they offered no help or suggestions for alternatives. I was asking questiins and trying to get help/advice. I ended up buying a very basic set of strings ($3.65 retail) for around $18. 3 strings popped within 2 months. I was more than willing to pay for a good pair of strings, just needed help finding them. 32 years and this is my only bad review of a local music store.
I called Mobile to see if they had a guitar tech who could take a quick look at my Ibanez to see if it had a problem or if I was imagining things. Fully expecting them to say they don’t do walk-ins and would have to take it in and put it on their schedule, I was thrilled to find that I could jet on over there and see Tim right away. They were packed with kids getting everything they need for school band, but I didn’t mind scanning the walls and shelves while I waited as Tim expertly set up a trumpet for a family. Then, Tim took a look at my guitar, spotted the problem right away, and fixed it quickly and thoroughly right on the spot. He made a few suggestions for gear and accessories that could help me deal with the issue in the future, and I was happy on my way having spent only a short amount of time and a small amount of money.Yes, I could probably have gotten a Dampit and a new tuner cheaper online, but nothing beats the feeling I had of having an expert tune up my instrument and give me personalized advice, and all without the snobby music shop vibe. There’s a reason why Mobile Music has been around for as long as it has, and I was just reminded of that.
Super customer service, nice variety of instruments on display. Repairs are top notch. A great asset in the Finger Lakes.
AWESOME service! In love with my beautiful guitar that my husband got me as a Gift! :)
Mobile Music is everything youd want in a local music store; good product assortment, wonderful staffing and well-established ownership, and excellent services (instrument rentals, repairs, lessons, etc.).
For a local shop, this place has a good selection of instruments, music, novelties, and lessons.
Nice folks!
