I typically dont leave reviews but thought I would as I am very disappointed with the service Ive received thus far with Best Overhead Door.About 2 months ago, my husband and I had our spring in our garage door snap. We called Best Overhead to have someone come out to take a look. The technician was great - gave us his honest opinion, was very knowledgable and kind. We ended up opting to replace the full door as it was around 20+ years old and the tracks and everything were eventually going to go bad.Upon leaving, the technician let us know that he would turn the inspection into their office manager and someone from the sales side should be in touch shortly to sell us a door.Well, two months have gone by- still NO call. I decided to put in a second request for some pricing on a garage door and to schedule the install. That request was put in last Monday. On Thursday afternoon, the office manager emailed me and let me know that their Sales Person, Scott, would be in touch shortly.It is now mid-day Tuesday, 7 full business days since my request was placed, and still NOTHING and this is after in the request I had stated that we are ready to purchase- not kicking tires, budgeting or anything like that, but ready to move forward.Since the astounding lack of communication on their end between the two times now (and two+ months) that Ive tried to give them my money for a service, we have since decided to move forward with another company that has thus far been extremely communicative, showed up within 4 hours of my initial call, provided a fair and timely estimate and kept all promises of communication.

Had Jared come out today and he did a fantastic job! I bought a new craftsman garage opener with all the trimmings but really didnt want to do it myself. I went ahead a used Lowes services to do the installation. Through the Handy app/program, Best Overhead Doors was the contractor assigned. Jared showed up early and knocked out the install kit in no time. Nice guy too. We went over the keypad and talked about the wifi instructions. The experience exceeded my expectations and I really appreciate everyone who was so nice along the process. This really made my day!

Gabe was our pre-site inspector and installer. He was very knowledgeable and helped us with getting the right garage door opener for our garage and the space we had to work with. Every time we called the office or spoke with Best Overhead Door they were very nice and had all of the information we needed. Gabe answered all of our questions and was not put out, he even was very patient and understanding with out daughter who wanted to be all up in what he was doing! Our appointments were all kept within a very reasonable show up time, not an all day wait and see when they will get here. I would recommend this company and would use them again in the future if we needed.Thank you for our Beautiful garage door installation.

Very responsive when trying to get our business, however we tried for a YEAR to get them to come back and fix bubbles in the door, and the loud screeching sound when door opens & closes (limited response to emails/phone calls, and tech was a no-show on the 1 appt they finally made. They finally quit responding at all).We finally gave up on Best Overhead Door, and had to hire someone else to fix their poor installation (to the tune of $400, thank you very much). Screeching door was due to bent torsion bar, one of the side cables was slack, and the side track on the wall was not aligned correctly with the track on the ceiling. Were still trying to resolve the 12-18 bubbles in the front of the door (i.e. Mfg defect). Dont use this vendor, and dont buy a clopay garage door!

These guys saved us from a Handy.com nightmare and were able to go above and beyond what we originally wanted. Marcus was on time and experience. He explained what he was doing and even saved me a trip back to the house. I’d recommend them to everyone and they are more reasonable than our local people. More friendly too!

UPDATE June 2021: I finally got in touch with the owner of the company and explained my frustration. He had a tech come out and very thoroughly check the operation of the door. The tech replaced the cables and drums on the problem door and discovered a problem with a joint on the door track on the side that had the history of coming off, so he addressed that as well. This was all done as a courtesy and I was not charged, and I am delighted to have a working door opener again. I am ecstatic that the company did ultimately choose to stand behind their work -- it just took the right conversation with the right person. As a result of this, I am raising my rating to 5 stars.END OF UPDATETL;DR door lifting/closing failures every three/four years that Best Overhead Door is happy to keep charging full price to repair. If that is the experience you seek, you should hire this company. Full saga below.In 2003, I paid Best Overhead Door over $1600 to install two standard sized one-car garage doors with Torquemaster i-drive openers. Although very quiet, the Torquemaster i-drive openers were unreliable (they were a bad product and the motors would just stop responding to the remotes and had to be reset frequently). After one of the mortors stopped working entirely, I gave up on the i-drive openers and decided to go with more conventional garage door spring / opener designs.So in 2014, I paid $1500 for Best Overhear Door LLC to replace my two standard size one-car garage door torquemaster springs and i-drive openers with more conventional designs. The price was high because I bought their Premium Install Package as I was thinking I was buying reliability. I just didnt want any more fuss with the doors.Well, turns out I was throwing good money after bad. Although the new motors have been 100% reliable, one of the door cables disconnected from the spring drum in 2017. From a convenience and safety point of view, this was much worse than the motor failing, because the door is still attached to the spring on one side and so was impossible to just pull the disconnect handle and close manually. (When the motor failed in the i-drives, I could simply pulled the disconnect handle and open/close the doors easily by hand -- the springs never malfunctioned). I had to pay them about $200 to come out to reconnect the cable to the spring drum and tune my door.After the 2017 repair, the door disconnected again the very next day and they had to come out and reconnect it again. (So much for tuning?)Well, here we are in early 2021 and the cable came off the very same side of the very same drum again, leaving the door connected to the spring on only one side and making it impossible to close again -- always fun on these cold winter nights. I called Best Overhead Door LLC and they quoted me a charge of nearly $200 just to show up (it is a Saturday so it would be their off-hours fee) unless I wanted to wait several days (not just until Monday) until they could slot me in for a regular appointment, where they would show up for only $49. Parts and Labor are extra for either appointment type.Im not sure what I expected when I called. Perhaps some pride in workmanship, or some concern for a customer that has spent nearly 3K to keep a pair of ordinary single-car garage doors working over the past many years? If you think of a garage door spring/opener system as something that will fail on you every 3-4 years and refuse to close until you fork over multiple hundreds of dollars to get it fixed for another 3-4 years, Best Overhead Door LLC is the company you should hire. If you are seeking a more reliable garage door situation, or a company that takes more pride in their installations and customer service, look elsewhere.

Best Overhead Door was contracted by Home Depot to install our new doors and openers. We could not be more pleased! Jared came by to measure and he was also the tech who came to do the install. Came in the time frame that was promised and called when he was on his way. He was very knowledgeable and professional. Extremely courteous and answered all questions I had without hesitation. He was so good I thought he was the owner of the company! The doors look and work great! I wouldnt hesitate to recommend BOD and Jared to anyone needing a garage door install!

Danny came out and installed two openers for my existing doors. He did a fantastic job and in record time, too. He was so nice about teaching me how to use my door openers and the best way to take care of my doors . There were two door struts that did not make it onto the truck, but Danny said that he would come out and put them on next week. I recommend Danny and Best Overhead Door for your garage door needs.

Great job by Danny, our installer; he put in a replacement garage door opener. No mess, no fuss, in and out in minimal time. He even took away the old equipment, packaging, etc., and made sure the remotes and wireless keypad was programmed. Answered all of my questions (Im an engineer, I cant help it) and was efficient and friendly. Ill be sure to call this company again for maintenance when needed.

I have used Best Overhead Door twice now, and both times I had a wonderful experience! From the very beginning, everyone was very polite and professional. We originally called because our door was not closing. Dusty was able to walk me through a few troubleshooting issues over the phone. I was able to fix the problem myself! Turns out, I knock one of our sensors out of alignment with my trash can (oops). This saved us the cost of a service call! Then, we decided to purchase a new door and motor. Scott, their salesmen, was very educational on all of the different options. He didnt push for the most expensive, but helped us find the best option for our home. The best part was the installation itself! Our installer showed up on time, explained everything he was going to do, and got straight to work! He was uniformed, clean and very professional. When he was finished with the install, he walked me through everything again, answered all my questions and left the garage spotless! I highly recommend Best Overhead Door for any garage door needs! Superb job!

This is the company Home Depot set me up with for door installation. The work was fine but the the time from measuring and ordering door to installation completion was twice as long as I was told. (10 days to 2 weeks turned into 4 weeks). In the meantime we had an open unsecured garage. The demo and framing was done by someone else as I was told Best wouldnt do the framing part. In retrospect, hiring a contractor for entire job would have been better. Installation Work done was good. No complaints there.

Jared was the man that installed our new garage door early last week in Dallas, OR. He called early in the day and gave me a window of time that he would arrive. He made in that window and got right to work. Jared was efficient and polite, getting the work done without wasting any time. He was thorough in helping me understand the features of our new Chamberlain opener. Excellent service.

Wonderful service, truly superb! My garage door spring broke on a Saturday evening, trapping me in the house. I left a message with their after-hours number and Sunday morning I received a return call. Within an hour LeRoy arrived and exceptionally professionally replaced the mechanism. He lubricated our other door at no cost and left the work site in perfect condition. I could not have asked for better service at a fair price, especially considering today is Sunday. Highly recommend!

Had a panel replaced on my garage door. The process was simple and fast. There were missing inserts as part of the replacement section, but the office team (Alycia) were collaborative and friendly with their updates. They were always friendly with my inquiries when I asked for status on the progress.

Install was good, but was sold new track wheels just prior to installer leaving. Feel like this should have been discussed when installer inspected the door. Instead I was pressured to make a decision and now regret paying $80 for wheels that cost $11 on Amazon and are very simple to install. Called Best Overhead Door regarding this issue and was told theyd discuss how to improve this in the future. I wont call them again.

I am a tenant who requested a quote in behalf of the owner of my duplex. The owner lives in Arizona and they entrust me to take care of things like this. However, they are the ones paying the bill.When I requested a quote they came out and provided a vague, handwritten quote for replacing the ENTIRE DOOR only. No other options. When I called the office to request a quote for just the part that is actually broken, no one ever called me back. Later, I received a bill for $49.00 for their quote. Even later I received a past due notice for their quote and poor service (or lack thereof).I mailed it back to them and said I am refusing to pay for this, since I was not disclosed that I would be charged at all. Hopefully, they just go away and look in the mirror at how they treat their potential customers.I was never advised when I made the call that I would be potentially charged for their quote and they were also made aware that the owner lives out of state.I recommend running away from this company! There are other companies out there who are more ethical with better service than this one.

Sales showed up the next day after I called. The upper section of my garage door blew up, which is the best way to describe it. Salesman Scott Newrones diagnosed the problem and promptly ordered me the top section only, which did save me money, as opposed to replacing the entire garage door. Also, he fixed my broken garage door so that it was usable while waiting for the upper section to be delivered. It did take a couple of weeks, and when it arrived, an appointment was made for the installer. The installer showed up on time, and the job only took about 20 minutes start to finish. Last but not least, the final invoice matched the quote to the penny. Whats not to like? Excellent customer service and craftsmanship. Thank you.

The car was trapped in the garage and broken door too heavy to lift. We needed fast service. Leroy was there by 8 a.m. on a Saturday, had a good plan and all the parts on his truck to complete the job. Super service. Done right and gone by 10 a.m.

I was leaving for an appointment when my garage door would only close part way. I could not leave the house with my garage door wide open. I called Best Overhead Door (who installed the garage door opener 3 yrs ago). Customer service said that it was an after- hours call, quoted the emergency service call price and said that the emergency service technician LeRoy would be there within an hour. He called me when he was on the way. He explained to what was needed, answered my questions and quoted me the price. Fixed it quickly. Friendly, honest, informative. Very pleased & highly recommend. What great company...not only did Mike come out within a couple of hours of my call and at least get my door working manually, but Dave had my new motor installed super fast. But most of the credit goes to Kami and Dusty in the office...without them I would have had to wait a week to get my new motor. But they both know that was the last thing I needed to deal with, they know my daycare families use my garage door as my front door and me having to lift that garage door up and down all day was never going to work. So a day later and I was back to business as usual!!!

This company has gone above and beyond! Our salesman Scott was here right away after ordering the doors from Home Depot. The ladies in the office that followed up for scheduling and field measuring during construction. Then, to cap it off Marcus the one man installer shows up and does the most professional installation job imaginable. I expected two or three people, but Marcus nailed it and did not leave a scrap. He installed 4 doors with openers!!! He then helped me program the openers and left with a very polite thank you! If only every company did this nice of job! Our garage door spring broke overnight trapping our cars in our garage. We found out the next morning when we attempted to leave for work. I gave them a call and Georgia was very helpful. This company has given me the worst customer service I have EVER received. The installation of my 2-door garage was a huge disappointment. They came with dented panels and dented rails with missing bolts. They left without installing the weather strips because they were in a “hurry” to get back home. They were lazy and incompetent. Also, the manager Dusty is completely rude and was not apologetic for the huge incovenience they gave me. I advise everyone to look into another company to receive quality garage installations.

I dont typically leave reviews, but my recent contact with this company was very unpleasant and frustrating. I had garage doors installed by them just over a year ago and the service was great. The installer was very professional and the job was well done. I installed the Liftmaster 8500 series openers myself, wasnt cosmic. With that type of opener, there is a sensor that mounts near the cable spool to detect the required tension in the cables. The doors functioned perfectly until a few weeks ago (within the one year warranty). What was apparent to me, is the cable had lost the required tension for the sensor to detect and wouldnt allow the door to close. Tightening those cables was beyond my comfort level, so I contacted Best Overhead Door, LLC and made an appointment for a serviceman to take a look at the doors. I was told that if it was a door issue, it would be covered by warranty. If it was an issue with the opener, there would be a fee. I fully anticipated that and had no problem with paying if required. He showed up and unfortunately I was unable to be at the house and observe the work being done. My wife, however, was there. The serviceman left hours later, no invoice with description of services accomplished, and requested a payment of $113 be made for the work. She was told that the cables were tightened, the garage door tracks were moved and the cable sensors were adjusted, naturally giving justification for the service fee. I had a feeling of disbelief as soon as I found out what was claimed to have been done to the sensor. When I returned home later that day, I took a look at everything. The sensors were clearly not touched at all. I drew lines when I mounted them to be sure they were level and they were perfectly flush with those original lines after they were supposedly adjusted. Long story longer, I called them in frustration due to the overwhelming feeling of dishonesty regarding the work done. They said they would gather more information from their service guy and get back to me. The first call back they claimed something internal to the opener itself was adjusted (impossible according to the Liftmaster technician I contacted). The second call back they reverted to the original story that the cable tension sensor had to be moved, which again, was clearly not touched since my original install. The overall feeling I got from the beginning was that claim justified them charging the service fee. Never mind the fact that the cables were tightened (garage door issue) and the tracks were moved (garage door issue), the sensor that provides less than 2 ounces of pressure on the cable was deemed the causal factor. The $113 isnt even the issue for me, its the clear false claim of work done where it wasnt. As I originally said, leaving reviews isnt something I typically do, but this companys apparent dishonesty has left me very disappointed. Take this for what its worth, but I will not contact them or recommend them in thefuture.

Marcus was wonderfully warm and wonderful hard worker. He did a great job not only installing my new opener, but he also was great at answering my questions and explaining how the new system works.

I have been using them 5* years; most recently after a 16 year old drove in to my garage wall between the double and single door last spring. Both doors, and garage door openers had to be removed for a month while re-framing and sheet-rocking. So the crew was back to reinstall the doors (one new as did not make it). As always, Dusty was a pleasure to work with and flexible as dealing with my restoration co. (though me). *Choose them to install my garage doors 10/11 while building; very happy with the Clopay door installation and follow up service when one of the Liftmaster openers kept acting up (to the point where they ensured mfg. replaced it).

A week ago I scheduled an appointment to have a Liftmaster 8500 door opener installed at my residence to replace a failed opener. The verbal price quote provided was reasonable and scheduling a week out was relatively prompt, considering it was Thanksgiving week. At that time I also requested a proposal to replace the garage door at a later date. I received the proposal from them the same day via email. It was reasonable as well.This morning a technician showed up at the appointed time with the wrong opener, an 8550 he said. After an extended conversation with his office he said that he wouldnt be able to return with the correct opener for a week. He placed blame for the mix up on the office person that I dealt with. Regardless, great on the front end, poor execution in the field.

Had $245 worth of repairs and maintenance including rollers replaced in July 2017, today, December 5, 2017 I called because the doors are not closing automatically again, the same issue as in July. Dusty who answered the phone fancies herself a trouble shooting technician tried to tell me about a patron who had sunlight shining on one of the sensors caused a malfunction. When I told her this was not the case, she shifted to the age of the opener unit as if to say the problem lies there?! I have been a diagnostic technician my entire adult life and anybody can tell you that diagnosing over the phone is never anywhere near accurate!?!Terrible customer service and wants to charge me another $110 just to come out?!

We had an after hours call because my garage door wouldnt go down at 6:00 at night. Other garage door companies said they could get to us tomorrow, but LeRoy arrived 20 minutes later. He was professional, courteous, and extremely honest and helpful. He assessed my problem, gave me all of my options, talked to me about future care & preventative maintenance and never tried to up-sell me or take advantage of my unfortunate situation. Marcus, another BOD technician, came by as well to help LeRoy out with a specific tool request and he too was nothing but helpful, despite it being after hours for him as well. Long story short, they fixed our door and put in all new, required parts. LeRoy spent time making sure it all worked properly and fined tuned things until he was satisfied that everything was working again. Cant say enough good things. The price was I expected for an after hours call, but at least I now have the piece of mind to know its going to work into the foreseeable future. Thanks for everything BOD, LeRoy and Marcus!

Terrible customer service. Tmgave my elderly mother the run around for a month. Had her running around picking up parts. Never came back to finish the job.Shameful.

6 months ago I had them out and they made some suggestions to save me money. I was very happy with them and when I needed a tune-up I called them again. They sent out Zach.
