Great food, great prices, great service and my orders always right!

The original estimate they gave me over the phone for a brake job was $200 less than my dealership. Once they took a look at my car the estimate jumped to more than $300 MORE than my dealership. They also tried to add on things like windshield wipers which clearly arent part of the braking system. I wont be going back. The only up side of the experience was the friendliness of the staff.

I recently purchased a new 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe off the dealers lot. Unfortunately, it did not have a trailer hitch which I need for hauling our bikes and the occasional towing of small trailers. Ive used Marty and Hills & Dales Auto for routine oil changes and tire rotations so I had no hesitation going to him - versus the OEM - for the installation. As usual, I wasnt disappointed. A quality job, done when promised!

Took my car to Chevy progressive dealership to get my 2015 equinox fixed they told me it would be $2800 called these guys and they promised me they could do it cheaper and it costed me $1048 Quick service very nice guys they took great care of me. From now on we are only coming here. 10/10 recommend thank you so much !!!!

I have taken many vehicles to Hills and Dales Auto over many years. They have been able to service all of them with efficient mechanics, quality parts at excellent prices and courteous staff. I like the fact that they have a shuttle or loaner cars available if work takes a long time. They are very knowledgeable and make the diagnosis of a problem with accuracy. As a woman, I especially like their willingness to explain issues and allow me to check out the parts and know what is being done. I appreciate the respect they show and their superb assistance with any work I have brought to them. I strongly recommend their business!

Great care for both autos and clients. After shopping, my car wouldnt start. Called Hills & Dales and within a few minutes, someone was there and started my car. Instead of having me wait in their very nice lobby, he transferred my groceries to their van, took me home and carried my things in for me. Within a couple of hours, I had been called with a diagnosis, the car was fixed and back home again.My husband used their service for years and so do I. Highly recommended. My mom took her car there to get new brake pads and rotors. The engine is brand new the battery was just replaced. The back brakes were getting a little rough. So she needed rotors and pads on only the back brakes. Everything else was just fine. 2,000 dollars later!! They talked her into doing all the brakes (typical for most mechanic shops, I understand that) She took it home all the lights popped on. She thought they messed something up. They said oh its the alternator. They charged 700 bucks to replace an ALTERNATOR AND A BELT. Then they deleted the codes so the lights would go off. She took it home. Started it the next morning all the lights were back on. For some reason she took it back AGAIN. (3rd visit) They tried to then. To tell her it was an issue with the fuel filter and gas cap and made repairs without asking and was trying to charge another 650 dollars. She made them undo everything and they still charged her another 200 dollars doing what they did to make up for lost hours they were not asked to perform. They nickel and dimed her. She doesnt know cars and they knew it. I feel like she was robbed and a lot of other 4 stars on here. These 5 stars are friends and family I promise.

I had great customer service and they had a fair price for the labor. Although, I had brought wheel carriers from my BMW in to have the control arms and tie rods separated. They had separated all the arms from the hub as requested but they had not returned the non interchangeable washers that keep the arms pressed securely into the hub. I had requested all bolts and parts be returned to me and I did expect for these . Although they claim all makes and models, BMW owners may wanna stay away from major work here.

Terrible customer service, they did not diagnose the problem for my car just told me “what it could be” and “they do not care if they work on my car or not”

They never try to sell you things you dont need and warm you about items that need attention. They do a thorough check on every vehicle and give you a full rundown on it. I have been going here for more than a decade. They always make me feel like a valued customer. I never feel like they are trying to rip me off or add extra services that are not needed. In fact, if they find something I wasnt expecting during a service call, they will give me an estimate and let me know if its something that should be done immediately or if it can wait until my next visit. Because I have an older car, sometimes they have to keep it overnight while waiting for delivery of parts they dont have in stock. They always offer me a loaner car or will take me home and pick me up when the car is ready. And if anything changes after the estimate is given, they update me so there are no surprises when I get the bill. I will continue to take my car here whenever it needs anything, from a simple oil change to a complex repair.

I absolutely trust the guys at Hills & Dales auto. They keep my car in great condition without recommending unneeded repairs. A couple of times they told me what the manufacturer recommended and then volunteered what most of them would do, cutting out nonessentials. As a woman who admittedly does not know much about cars, I greatly appreciate that I can trust them. They are terrific!

Honest to a tee, affordable, and the best place in town to get your car fixed. I got a second opinion here that saved me 1,400.00 dollars. The tech actually said: your car is fine, and it will easily make it until your tech friend in Chicago can see it in a month. Such honesty deserves praise! They habe gotten my business ever since.

Told them I needed new brakes. Dropped my car off and they immediately offered me a ride back to my office. The gentlemen that took me back to my office was super nice and the courtesy shuttle vehicle was very clean. They called me right back and told me to save my money and that my car didn’t need anything. Pretty honest if you ask me. Didn’t even charge me a penny. I’ll be back!!

Its difficult to find a business who does what they say, say what they do and behave ethically. Been w/ Hills & Dales Auto Care for 2 appointments and my expectations have twice been exceeded. I paid what they quoted, what happened is what they told me would happen and I got my vehicle back when they said Id get it back. I moved to the area 4 years ago, so comforting I now have a garage I can trust. Last visit they accidentally damaged a tire moving the vehicle, Im a bit of a tire snob and was elated they replaced my tire with the exact same make & model. Stacks of thanks for doing good business!

I cant return to this business. Charging 100 to be seen is to much. Ive heard that prices have increased. There are other places in town that dont charge to be seen and are cheaper

Ive been to Hills and Dales auto more times than most car owners would wish to be at their mecanic over the years (less frequently now that I have a nicer car) and the experience has always been a positive one. Friendly and knowledgeable staff and quality guaranteed repairs that give me piece of mind when I drive off the lot. While its not the cheapest garage on the block, youll certainly know the professionalism youre getting if you choose to do business here. I will always recommend them.

I just came from this place. Far away from my home mechanic in Chicago, a local chain repair place down the road quoted me a dire 2K in repairs. I got a call from Hills & Dales who said: come pick up your car. These repairs are not yet necessary, and you can easily visit your guy back home and get them done. Save your money. He didnt even charge me for the diagnostic. Now THAT is what I call a rare breath of honesty. I will bring my next repair here and only here. Thanks guysQ

Ive taken vehicles to them over the years. Theyve always diagnosed and fixed the problem on the first try. Theyre not the cheapest but theyve provided excellent quality. Theyre every bit as good as a dealership but cheaper. There are cheaper shops around who dont charge a diagnostic fee, Ive used several of them, but you have to check them out carefully. Theyre exceptionally good with vehicle inspections. I paid around $50 and they found about $500 worth of work done that the used car dealer agreed to fix for free.

Best mechanic shop I have been to. I drove from NY to Ohio and my exhaust flex pipe cracked from fatigue and the brutal amount of salt that is used during NY winter days. This place was very clean... and I mean very clean. No oil spots or anything on the floor. If they said this shop is also a car show room, I would have believed it. I was greeted by Ken at the front desk was very helpful by giving me the best price. The factory down pipe cost 715 before taxes. But a cheap yet reliable solution was to weld in a new flex pipe. He was very informative and was able to answer all my questions. This shop isnt one of those half ass get the job done and your out. Mike was the one that worked on my car and from what I see, every mechanic in there were friendly and thorough with their work. For example Mike checked my whole exhaust system to make sure there wont be any potential cracks or leaks. He touched up all the welds on my exhaust and got me new gaskets. Ive been to many exhaust shops + welding places, but Mike won the professional weld award in my book. Again very thorough. Its safe to say I was treated as family rather than just another customer. Customers car were treated as if it were their own. So no worries, its safe to go about your day while you car is in the shop, knowing your car is in good hands with all ASE certified technicians/mechanics. If any repairs or work that needs to be done next time im in Ohio, I would definitely return to this shop without second guessing. My overall experience were more than satisfactory.

I read the reviews from others on here and as I have told people before - you get what you pay for! Yes, HD Auto Care is not the cheapest place in town to take your car, but they are the BEST, at least in my opinion. I have always had wonderful service from them. Their technicians are always pleasant and answer all of my questions. Their service is not only friendly, but fast. I hardly ever wait, plus you never need an appointment. Im sorry other people may have had issues with this shop, but I think they are worth the extra buck or too, and I will continue to take my vehicles there.

Had car towed there. Owner said all he did was check the dipstick and there was no oil in engine. Never moved the car from the spot the tow truck driver left it. Was told that the engine had seized up due to me letting the oil run dry (had had an oil change 5 months ago). $6,000 to fix. I called a friend who works on cars and asked him what I should be paying to replace the engine. He said “you should be paying nothing. That problem is a known problem in your car. There is a recall on that engine. Hyandai is replacing it for free”. Called a dealership and they confirmed the free repair. How did my friend who tinkers on cars know this off the top of his head, and the “expert” mechanic who owns the shop not know this? Also was charged $55 for diagnostics. Wait...didn’t he say all he did was check the dipstick? Not impressed...won’t be back.

Hi, About 8 Months ago I brought in my Jetta for problems with my transmission not shifting well into its top gear they told me I needed a transmission rebuild they told quoted me just under 3,000 for my 2001 VW Jetta. I went to Exact Car Care also on Hills and Dales for a quote on the rebuild they not only quoted me (over facebook I might add) a few hundred less for the work. Even better when I bought the car in Charlie told me I didnt need a rebuild after all and he fixed it for free with an additive he told me it was low on fluid. Which was just changed by Hills and dales a month earlier. Go figure. Thank you for reading have a great day.
