Fadia was wonderful! She is really quick with her alterations and walks you through how to achieve the look you want. I am short and stocky. She was able to make the dress work perfect for my body type. I planned to wear cute matching glitter converse instead of heels and she tailored it so I could walk and dance without stepping on my dress. I also purchased a coat from her since my wedding was in December. It was so perfect! She also helped me find the perfect jewelry too. Really has a great eye! Thanks Fadia!

I went to Fadi with a size 4 dress she told me she could alter. I paid $135, for me to be completely devastated with the dress. I actually ended up going to someone. Here is the picture of the dress Fadi altered, (you can see in my face how unhappy I am with the results) the second photo, is by the second person I went too. Fadi also told me she couldn’t fix the pleaded part in the front; which the second person was able to achieve as well. The second person I went to charged me $75. & it was done correctly

Fadia did a brilliant job with my wedding dress. Alterations were reasonably priced (especially compared to David’s Bridal) and she finished very quickly. Turn around was 2 weeks from drop off to pick up (in part because my schedule is crazy, it was ready even sooner). I am wearing my mom’s wedding dress from the 1990s, and Fadia helped me alter it into my dream dress, and still managed to keep all the original, beautiful details that my mom and I both loved about the dress!!! I am so impressed with Fadias magic on my wedding dress. My dress was so big (almost two sizes), and Fadia worked her amazing talent to make my dress perfect and fit like a glove! It was a random stop that led me to FaMiri. Its Cantons best kept secret. I live in Canton and had no idea this wedding boutique existed. I found out it was best to schedule an appt. however Fadia still took care of me. I had to wait until she finished with her current customer whom she treated like family. Walking into FaMiri Designs was one of the most magical surprises of my time in the Detroit area. Initially I went in to have a pair of pants altered and discovered one of the most beautifully curated vintage collections I’ve encountered yet - including in NY and LA. The crown jewel is Fahdah herself who is both skilled with alterations and a designer herself, and she’s so warm and welcoming she really does have a magical presence.

She helped my sister find the perfect necklace for her dress as well. I bought my wedding dress at Mimis in Ann Arbor. They were not able to easily accommodate my schedule for alterations, plus they were against shortening my gown to reveal my shoes since it was a formal gown. I googled wayne county seamstresses and saw Famiri Designs had great reviews. I had less than a month, and she worked tirelessly with me to finish the job with PLENTY of time! She shortened the dress (five or six ruffled layers) made NEW corset tie loops (very intensive work; it was done perfectly) and put in boob shields so the dress fit perfectly. She made me a shawl since a veil would not work with the dress; it was made, again, perfectly. She took a vintage shawl and cinched it to fit and snap onto the dress, covering my sensitive spots. I looked amazing. She is a wonderful woman who is funny, upbeat, loves people, has a great studio she loves behind her home, and I would not hesitate to use her again and again. Oh, the money? She is reasonable and will work much harder for you than anybody else! I truly thank her for making a big part of my wedding FLAWLESS.

FaMiri was absolutely amazing. I called her in a panic on Saturday about my bridesmaids dress for a wedding I was in the following Saturday (ONE WEEK!). She was only open until 6 (it was about 530 when I called) but had me come into her shop that same day at 630 to do my fitting. Im in the Marines and I had to get my Dress Blues altered. Since I got out of boot camp Ive bulked up a little and my uniform was a little too tight around my shoulders and chest. I dropped my uniform off on Tuesday and she was finished by Thursday, which was really good because the ball was on Saturday. Its really hard to trust places with my uniforms and clothes because I like a snug fit and uniforms have to fit regulations. She did an outstanding job and everything fit perfect. It was all done for a good price. I will definitely be coming back if I need any more tailoring.
