They have several options of glasses! They give you suggestions about what fits best for you :)And they have a lot of patience. I forgot my prescription at home, they helped me by calling my Ophthalmologist to ask for it, unfortunately they couldnt get it, but they anyway provide me with the service and let me send the prescription by email.

Dr. Lizyness and team are professional, friendly, helpful and thorough….everything you want from your eye doctor and staff. They also have a very nice selection of frames and the staff does a great job helping their customers select frames. Our whole family has been attending the office for a few years for our annual checkups and I highly recommend the Eye Definition office.

I don’t usually write reviews, experience I had Eye Definition was so wonderful, I had to let people know. I’m huge on customer service, I been to several Eye’s center in the area and none come close to the great experience I had at Eye Definition. Starting with eye’s doctor who is very knowledgeable. What I was most express with was the optician, name Candice Barrington. She was just as knowledgeable as the doctor. Any questions I asked she answer with no hesitation. She has a caring personality, which made me feel like I was her only client. When I received my glasses my prescription was a little off, I didn’t take them right away, because I was use to service that gave me hard times with issues. My daughter had appointment, when I took my daughter for her appointment, Candice notice I wasn’t wearing the glasses Eye Definition done for me, this was another reason I feel people should go to Eye Definition, Candice knows her clients and pay attention to details. I told Candice the reason I wasn’t wearing my glasses, was due to they made my eyes hurt. Candice said just bring them back and they’ll redo them for free. That what I did, Candice also, recheck my eye’s measurements, I got my glasses back they were perfect. So, I recommended Eye Definition to anybody who needs eye care.

The staff at Eye Definition are awesome! I felt so comfortable at my appointment when choosing my new glasses, Candice gave her honest opinion of styles and didn’t rush me to choose. After picking up my glasses, I noticed something seemed off and went back in for an adjustment and Candice was so kind and helpful in helping figure out what the mistake was. What can I say other than this is the best eye facility I have ever been to and I have been to quite a few. Candice is typically who helps me here and she is hands down the most knowledgeable individual Ive delt with in this industry.She was able to figure out a huge miss in my script from a previous place and now I dont get random headaches, eye strain, etc.Im not sure what happened with the random 1 star review on here but I dont see that happening at this place. I do and will continue to reccomend to everyone I know.

Thanks Dr Jay!PS - Prices are NOT higher at Eye Definition. Most of the prices are not set by the office, they are set by the insurance company, so really it depends on what insurance you have.I was going to a different Optometrist for the 22 years, I decided to try somebody new and closer to home, and I am glad I did. Eye Definition is a great place to go to get your eyes checked. Dr Jay is very friendly and nice. Did not have to wait, arrived 10 minutes before my appointment and Dr Jay was ready for me before my scheduled appointment. Location is very clean, new equipment (no puff of air in your eyes...which is a bonus!). Dr Jay gave me a few sample contacts to try out to see if I like them better than my current ones. If you are new to the area or looking for a new Optometrist, I would recommend this place.

I went to Eye Definition after going to Pearl Vision and them telling me I was not able to wear contacts, that I had to get glasses. After seeing the Dr. I discovered I was able to get contacts after all. Very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to anyone who does not want to be treated as just another number. My wife an I were out shopping for glasses for our son and daughter ages 10 and 8. After visiting 3 or 4 optical locations and not finding any glasses that the kids were excited about we decided to stop by the newly opened Eye Definition. We were met by Gloria, who was just super friendly and helpful, and within a half hour the kids picked out frames that they loved. Within a week the glasses were ready to be picked up. Overall they had a wide selection of frames for everyone and it was a great experience.

Eye Definition is probably the best eye doctor Ive been to. Most just want your insurance money and you to go away... this one I feel like actually cared about what I wanted and if I was happy. Go here if you want a doctor worth a darn :)

I was a new patient to the office and was very impressed with the doctor and his staff. The office was modern and the doctor explained why he was doing each procedure. His assistant was very helpful and was able to help me get the most for my eyecare benefits. I will definitely be back next year!

Dr lizyness made a HUGE mistake with my son that had a serious impact on his vision. Under no circumstances should anyone go here. The script he filled for my son was wrong by a lot and jeopardized years of progress through patching (total damage still tbd).This happened because his office process is for someone to hand enter the script into the computer and then no one checks to make sure it was entered correctly. On top of that, when the doctor put the lenses in my sons glasses he did not even check the script before it went out the door. Not against the original script or the hand entry. I know this because the lab had made a mistake on the bifocal script in addition to his offices mistake on the actual lenses script. He was the one who put the lenses in the frame and caught neither mistake.When given the chance to at least do something about the situation (6 months later when we realized the issue), we had to wait two weeks for the next set of lenses.And then we had the script checked at Kellogg only to find out that both lens were wrong again!He is negligent at best and a doctor who should not be trusted. There is absolutely no excuse for this type of behavior, he does not deserve to be in business. Profiting off of being negligent is an insult to the profession and a danger to his customers. It’s time to look for a new profession, this is certainly not the right one for you. You should have your licenses removed for putting your customers vision in jeopardy.Please take your business elsewhere and if you have a script from him, go somewhere else and make sure its correct!I used to like it here and think they were all so nice but at the end of the day none of that matters if HE CANT DO HIS JOB!Please go anywhere else. Save your families eyes.

After having terrible service at a different eye care place in Ypsi, I was ridiculously happy by my eye examination today at Eye Definition. Dr. Lizyness was friendly, his equipment was state-of-the-art, and he took the time to show me a scan of my eye and to review potential future problems. Candy, his assistant, was incredibly helpful and patient with me as I looked through dozens of glasses. I will continue to return.

I have been to Eye Definition for my past 3 eye exams, and I have to say, Dr Jay Lizyness and his staff have been Excellent and seem to be getting better with each visit. They were new to the area when i first visited, but did a wonderful job with my exam, keeping me comfortable, and explaining the procedures as Dr was performing them. After, he and his staff determined that i was indeed eligible for contact lenses, and offered some for me to try before committing to a lengthy prescription. His assistant then offered several suggestions for attractive frames for my glasses. I have been and will continue to utilize Eye Definition for my eye care needs, as his office is very clean, well organized, an he and his staff provide TOP NOTCH, Professional customer service. In fact, i cant see myself ever going any place else. If you or anyone you know is looking for affordable, professional service, I highly recommend Dr. Lizyness and Eye Definition. You wont be disappointed!

Great experience. neat and tidy place. Dr. Lizzyness was very knowledgeable and Gloria was very helping to find the right frame and was able to get same day appointment, however do not have an onsite lab, so slow turnaround, about 10 days.

Eye Definition, the staff, and Dr Jay are a refreshing change from my previous experience with other clinics. The office is very relaxed, the selection is excellent, and the care and attention to detail are unmatched. Also, its the little things too - Keurig coffee in the waiting area, never made to feel rushed or upsold on things. Wont go anywhere else now.
