Went in to find King Oyster and Lobster Mushrooms. They didnt have Lobster Mushrooms but their oyster mushrooms were perfect! Great customer service too! Went back the next day as well to pick up some banana blossoms.

This place was great, I came in with a list of ingredients I needed and the cashier helped me find all of them in under 5 minutes. I very much appreciated her help since I probably would’ve been there for over an hour had I looked for all the items by myself. They had authentic ingredients I wouldn’t be able to find at Meijer and the prices are great. She also gave me some tips on the dumplings I’ll be attempting to make. I will definitely be visiting again.

I love this place! Their selection (they have to have a bazillion different types of soy sauce alone!) and their friendly, helpful staff have kick my culinary repertoire up a notch or two. Stop in, if you havent! Great little place!

Hidden gem for sure. More selection on almost anything than you’ll ever need. The prices are low too. The produce is top notch. Staff is very nice and friendly and there to help if you have questions.

You get almost everything except it is a small Asian grocery store. You would not get alot of brand or selection items. However, the store owner was very friendly and helpful.

Small fakily owned asian grocery store. Pretty decent selection if you need chinese ingredients (not as many from other Asian cultures obviously but still very useful!) Staff has treated me with respect every time ive visited but checkout can sometimes be slow.

Best Kimchi AROUND. Great selection of products, PLENTY of stock on shelves. Good prices, clean & friendly service. This will be my go to store for these items & it is a long drive for me....BUT worth it!!

Decided to try making Kung Pao for dinner. Drove 25 min to get here. Worth the trip. Small but has absolutely everything you’d need for Chinese cuisine. Very reasonable prices. I will never shop anywhere else if I’m making Chinese.

Every time I’ve made the trip here, I’m looking for just an item or two (chili black bean sauce or round rice paper rolls, for example)...yet I end up leaving with multiple bags of items. 😊😂So many yummy things to choose from, very clean and organized, produce in great condition, and always friendly staff ready to help.There’s several dishes I wouldn’t be able to make without what I’ve found here, and several more I never would have tried to make but did because I saw the ingredients here. 👍

I walked in at 6:57 (closing 7:00) they welcomed me in, helped me choose products out of their wide selection along with having great prices. No wonder they have been around so long. Great store.

I was super impressed with this store! So, so clean and full of foods that Im not familiar with except for the instant 🍜😁 I must learn to cook Asian cuisine now that I know where to find ingredients. My first attempt will be egg foo yun so that I can impress my hubby as thats his favorite choice when eating Chinese food. So worth the time to shop here.

August Chinese Market is clean and well organized, with an enormous variety of every kind of ingredient you might want to make delicious food at home.I was shopping for sesame oil and Im pretty sure that there were 14 different types being sold.If you need fresh produce, there are so many things that you cant find at Kroger. It is worth stopping by just to take a look at the vegetables.If you want frozen dim sum items, you have come to the right place.If you are in the mood for tofu, all different brands and densities are available.If you want curry paste for your Thai cooking, multiple types await you.If you are hankering for something yummy, come to this grocery store and see what suits your fancy.

There are few Asian marts in the Canton area and August Supermarket is a very good place to buy Asian foods and drinks. They offer homemade mochi and bread as well as a wide selection of teas. It’s a very good locally run business and I will definitely come back again.

I always love going to this market. This market has some things the other Asian markets I go to does not. The cashier is always helpful and really nice.

Primarily Chinese products (as the name suggests) but they also have some other Asian foods, Japanese and Korean at least. The employees are very helpful when you are looking for something. You can get some great deals on some things here, especially spices, but also a lot of the basic foods you could find at a regular grocery store, are a much better price here.

Staff is ALWAYS extremely helpful in meal prep ideas and very sociable when asked for help. They have a cleaner store than ANYTHING else in our around this area. I have actually stopped buying products from other larger stores that are closer just because I enjoy shopping here that much more. Prices are extremely competitive also making my meals and snacks that much less expensive to make. It is also convenient having them open 7 days a week from their scheduled hours making impulse purchases a simple part of life. Check them out, you will not be disappointed.

Its a nice small Chinese market, you can found some foods from other countries but its mostly Chinese food. Not a lot variety on the selection, but it can covered the basic Asian cooking need. The cashier is quite friendly and they are willing to help you with your shopping when you cant found something.

I was introduced to August Chinese Supermarket by a friend. Everything about this store is very clean and the layout is intuitive after a couple visits.Its brightly lit and well stocked. The organized and English labeled shelves have an excellent selection of products with really good freshness dates; many premium brands I sought too. The coolers are huge and the produce section has an excellent selection of fresh Asian produce.The staff person that assisted me was kind and knowledgable. I got everything on my list, the prices were very competitive and overall, I had a satisfying shopping experience. No need to travel to Ann Arbor for my Asian culinary needs.

The place is small, so dont expect an incredibly extensive assortment of things. However, the owners are super nice and what they have is great! They have your basic veggies for Asian dishes, and almost every combination of sauces and noodles you might need.

This is the best Chinese market in the area. Its relatively small, and the prices are a bit higher than large stores, but the location is very convenient for us. They have all of the traditional sauces, frozen buns & dumplings, and some fresh Chinese veggies.

The staff was very friendly. I needed help finding a product and they found it for me. I will definitely be back!

They have Asian foods, including frozen, fresh, and pre-packaged. We frequently buy the fish maw, frozen buns, fresh lychee (when in season), lobster chips, seaweed, Asian candy, and sesame oil. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

They have pretty decent prices for an Asian market. They have a good selection of products. I mostly go there for their shungiku and tofu.

This is probably the cleanest and nicest Chinese market in the area. For the size of the store they have a good selection and the staff is always very nice. We mainly go here to pickup vegetables, tofu, and other basics when we dont have time to go to one for the bigger markets.

Its a small store, but they have a lot of items packed into it. Its very clean as well. The owner was extremely helpful when I was looking for specific ingredients for a thai curry I was making he showed me exactly what I needed.If you live in the area and dont have the time or desire to drive to a larger market in Ann Arbor I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.

I FINALLY found the Taro mochi Ive been looking for! All thanks to these wonderful reviews for pointing out a very clean and friendly market. I was a bit intimidated to find a good market because I wanted it to be a very good experience- and thats what this was! They have so much cool stuff Im sure Ill be back within the month.

A smaller Asian (yes, it carries more than just Chinese goods!) market that is hidden and not well known enough!Great prices, nice variety, clean and friendly. I come here often for the selection of Mochi Ice-cream and Furikake rice seasoning.They accept cash and credit, $10 minimum on credit.

Be aware, if youre spending less than $10 bring cash!!! The store is clean and well stocked. The staff are friendly as well.

Tried this store, since its close to my home. Was disappointed with their food selection. Didnt find the soy sauce or noodles I was looking for. Tsai Grocery in Ann Arbor has much better selection and well worth the drive.Update (Dec 7, 2019): Food selection is significantly better, price is OK too. Some workers handle the product roughly; ramen should be gently placed in the bag, now thrown in from 1 foot high.

Very small store with such a huge variety of items to choose from. Being such, aisles are very small, so I dont think a standard wheelchair will fit down them. Shelves are very tall. If youre claustrophobic, as I am, then it may be a little tight for you.
