Originally I was going to give 1 start. They tell you the wait time is around 3 weeks, which is already terribly long. All I needed to get done was to replace the blade and to make sure that the blade shaft isn’t damaged, and basic maintenance. I called in after 4-5 weeks to be vaguely told that my mower is in works. Called a week later and asked to speak with the owner, who told me that they were waiting on a blade. I checked a local Lowe’s and they had them in stock so I asked what if I bring one right now? The owner said that they should receive it in a day or two. Later that day I received a phone call and was told that the blade was there and I could pick up my mower in the late afternoon which is what I did. I learned that outside of blade replacement, and basic check, they have done a tune up of my mower. The total price was way over my expectations, around $240. When I used my mower, I was pleased with the cut and it did feel more powerful, however, the headlights stopped working and they worked before.That plus 6 weeks of wait time and looking like at my lawn turning into a jungle, plus very weak customer service did it for me. I was warned about this place before but I didn’t listen. I won’t be going back.This was going to be 1 star but giving 2 as the mower is performing well, other than the broken lights.

The knowledge of the owner is so refreshing. He sells quality products and is way more thorough than anyone else. Staff way very helpful and very knowledgable of their products

OVERPRICED FOR USED/ REFURBISHED MOWERS OF ALL MODELS. Its mower repair then resale, hardly equal to prices close to retail. Ex... riding mower with faded paint, obvious rust in numerous places, worn out tires, 2 sizable cuts on the seat & looking like it had been pulled out of a trash/dumpster doesnt feel worth of the $4,000 price tag it carried. Maybe it was an isolated incident, amusement was all I left with. You decide.

I tried two different Ace Hardware stores just trying to get the correct spark plug for my Snapper riding mower and they couldnt care less about helping me. Took a generator and concrete saw to be repaired. The staff were polite and courteous and listened to everything I needed done. I was told at least four weeks on both. They had the generator fixed in less than three weeks and are only waiting on the parts to finis6the concrete saw.

6/2016 - Helpful...but at their pace. Needed special order parts for an old mower carburetor I couldnt find online, took them a while but they got them. I get it guys, in the situation when we have a broken piece of equipment and need it to work again, us customers need you a lot more than you need us, but the lackadaisical attitude is very off-putting. Go there during your lunch break and expect to wait, without anything being said to you or even looked at for 15 minutes. If you dont like dealing with customers that problem will eventually rectify itself...no more customers.

Local landscaper here who repairs my own equipment. Tried using these folks couple times for parts, Very rude on the phone more than once almost like they hate their job or hate people. Would take my business else where, there are plenty of local businesses with better customer service that I would spend my money with.

Purchased a new Snapper lawn mower. Motor froze up. Snapper did agree to replace. Took about 3 weeks. Grass catcher kept coming off. Repair Barn and Snapper would not replace. Belt came of several times and finally a bolt came off and the rear wheel assembly came apart. Repair Barn gave me the run around and I found dealing with then very unpleasant. I got so frustrated I gave the mower away and bought a Honda from Home Depot.I also had my week eater tuned up there and it was even harder to start than before.And ran rough still.I will never do business there again and would not recommend them.

As the owner of The Repair Barn, Mr. Sims And Mr. Greenes comments are of great importance to me. As both of them stated from mid March to late September we are completely over run with equipment to be worked on. We do our very best to complete work in a timely manner but sometimes due to parts on backorder or other circumstances we cant control, it does take longer. Unfortunately if you come into The Repair Barn at lunch, we are often extremely busy. Many of our customers try to run in on their lunch break and we can have 10 or 15 customers waiting at times. As Mr Sims stated he couldnt find the part online, but yet we were able to get them for him. His was an older engine and we had to wait on parts from the manufacturer. This is often the case with older machines. Mr Greenes machine was the also waiting on backordered parts. Once parts were received the work was completed the next day. I always strive to repair equipment properly, not patch it together so it runs for a while and then the customer has to bring it back. I want it right the first time. If at all possible always bring you equipment in for regular maintenance in the winter months. We are not as busy and can complete most repairs very quickly. If ever you have concerns, please feel free to call me and discuss them directly. I promise I will give it my full attention and do my best to satisfy each customer.

Replaced the carburetor on my Honda Lawnmower and it runs like a new machine.

I have had my craftsman riding lawn mower to this shop two time in the last month and half. The first time was because the gas leaked from the tank into the oil reservoir they said the fixed it, the second time it wouldnt start and they changed the battery and gave it back to me. Both times I used it one time and then something else would go wrong. Now it has again drained all the gas into the oil reservoir and will not start so it really wasnt fixed the first time. I live in east Cobb and this shop was recommended to me. It costs me $50 each way to get my mower to and from this shop. I have not called (being the 4th of July) but assuredly I will be calling tomorrow morning. I would not recommend this shop they do shotty work I hope they back it up and offer to fix it right this time.

I dropped off my power washer on April 5, 2016 and was told due to it being the busy time of the season it would take 3 weeks to get it back. At eth 3 week mark I did not hear anything so I called and was told they had not started on it yet. I called a week later and they said they had to order a carburetor and they would call when finished I called again on May 18, 2016 and they said it had been finished about a week. Their customer service is lacking as far as I am concerned.

PLEASE READ EVERY WORD OF THIS!!! I have been to the repair barn 3 different times! Each time is exponentially worse than the time before! First time I brought a cheap walmart chainsaw. They did fix it but it cost more than a brand new one. An honest company would have let me know this up front, while keeping a good and honest name for themselves. The second time was an antique chainsaw and I told them to fix a specific problem with it and not to exceed X amount of $s. Well.....guess what!? Again they replaced all kinda stuff but this time it didnt even run when they were done! You would think Id learn my lesson huh? Nope! I gave them the benefit of the doubt and took a walk behind leaf blower to them. And I got in writing NOT TO DO ANYTHING TO IT EXCEPT ADJUST THE CARBURETOR!!! And I told everyone what happened the last time. They assured me this time would be different. I picked it up 2 weeks past when they said that it would be completed only to find out........ wait for it......... Not only was it not fixed, but they broke my throttle cable! Then they denied haven broken it all together. So when I ask how they adjusted my carb without moving the throttle cable from stop to start they looked baffled! Then they said that they didnt even try to adjust it bc all the trash in the gas tank. When I ask how do you know about that? they said they couldnt get it started! WOW WHAT? YOU LIED? no freaking way! Not only did this go down they said that I should be happy bc they cleaned out the gas tank and changed the spark plug! After all that I lost it!!! On the tag, to the owners face and the mechanics face I told them that I ONLY WANTED THE CARBURETOR ADJUSTED! DONT TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE AND DONT SPEND OVER PREDETERMINED AMOUNT! Well I left with a broken leaf blower, a lighter wallet and very bad taste in my mouth for this unscrupulous company! By the way when I got home I realized that the tag on it had someone else name, cell # and information on it! Dont trust these people!
