This was our first time in Maine ever, a trip that I have wanted to do for years but always thought I did not have the time.. We needed a beach towel and a space disinfectant. I have to say the whole store lit up when we approached this employee who handled us with so much care, such professionalism. I like people like that a lot, responsible, with great demeanor, because these are the people that make the world more beautiful. Of course my wife fell in love with her and whispered to me about having her meet our son. It’s funny that we had a similar experience in Rhode Island.. Anyway this young lady tried probably her best to find my name on the company’s network so that I get my discount. She had such a nice demeanor. Lucky me when at some point I gave her my email she found my account. We also went around the store’s aisles and it was obvious they had everything anyone needs. Nice place to shop at a nice location. Thank you for the great demeanor!

Cape Elizabeth residents are fortunate to have such a well-run and well-stocked grocery store in town. The dairy, beer, and meat selection is excellent.

Whole foods prices for Shaws quality. Some produce and most fruit on its way out. Frequently out of popular items. Great beer selection. Clerks trained specifically to make the check out process take longer. Understaffed with old technology. Head to Hannafords in SoPo and thank yourself later.

The prices here are insanely high. We’re all for supporting local businesses but for a simple pantry item you’ll pay double sometimes triple (if it’s summer). Not fair for locals. Staff is friendly, usually not enough workers. My last encounter I was 9th in line with one cashier.

Always have everything in stock. But staff are awful and very rude to customers. Will still go here though, recommend

Prices are a little higher than Hannaford/Shaws but still reasonable. Rarely is there a line.

Expensive and unfriendly. Also, they start turning lights off on customers 10 minutes before closing and refuse to turn them on so you can find the product you are looking for. When I called to complain, they told me to have fun writing the google review, so here it is.If they werent the only grocery store in town, I would not have gone there. I would rather drive the extra 10 minutes into South Portland to shop at Hannaford.

Their prepared food is overpriced and not good at all.

I dont know how its possible the IGA got more expensive but it did. However there are some really good local product finds in there and some unique items as well!

As I expected, small grocery store with limited choices. Was well maintained but we didnt find most of what we were look for.

I repeatedly find myself coming here over and over again for the pre-made meal options, and have never been disappointed. A nice assortment of hot meals, or refrigerated sandwiches and salads are available every day. Reasonable prices and friendly staff too!

Rude cashier (a senior, who should know how to treat people); high prices. I only shop here in an emergency but after yesterday’s terrible experience I won’t go back. Also no response from manager when I called and emailed to register a complaint about this rude cashier. If I could give a zero I would.

I stopped in to get a coffee the coffee was good and the line was short.

Expensive and experienced a Carl and a Karen here..my family probably wont go back ever.

This is a great little grocery store. They make very good deli sandwiches. There is a great selection of specially snacks. The craft beer selection usually has a few unique styles or brewers, plus a lot of local brews. Nice and clean and friendly grocery store!

Its A well-stocked store but it is very pricey for being a convenience. Business is business but scalping is scalping. Think of your local not the ones who just passed through and need things.

Local grocer, probably the fanciest IGA I know of, but that bar is pretty low. Lots of local products and typical IGA brand stuff collecting dust. Great when you dont want to make the trip or fight the crowd up the road at the bigger markets, or pay the prices of Rosemont or the Farm Stand, but expect a few rough edges.
