Everyone that works here is AWESOME. They are friendly, professional, efficient, honest, reliable, and fast! I will never take my car anywhere else as these guys do the very best job that you can hope for. The service is impeccable and the prices are more than reasonable. I highly recommend anyone and everyone come here!
Some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I had made my appointment two weeks in advance. I called early the morning of my appointment to ask if I can move it back a half an hour and was given a snarky comment about them being so busy. You knew I was coming. It’s a whopping half hour. It’s a tire rotation which doesn’t take long. If you cannot manage your workload then you need to accept less appointments in a day. Then when I got there I got the same snarky attitude. Who treats their customers this way? I’m never buying tires or service from them again. This is not the first time I’ve had people service me with a terrible attitude there.
I showed up for my 1:30 appointment and was told it would be about 90 minutes for an oil change and tire rotation. I come back 90 minutes later and there are no cars in the service bays and my car has been moved. I go in to pick it up and they tell me they havent started. No one told me they had only 1 worker - I would have re-scheduled.They wasted my afternoon and I will now tell my friend - stay the hell away from this shop. They do NOT care about their customers!!!Whoever manages this shop needs to be let go!!
4/24/2021. I wish to fairly be compensated with a refund on invoice number 206255 generated from Goodyear auto center located at 3800 Capitola Avenue exit Capitola, CA 95010.The P code for a small EVAP leak... should have started with a smoke test to begin with instead of throwing parts at the EVAP system first. In which cost me $694.44.If I have to I will involve the BBB better business bureau, chamber of Commerce.., plus two of my sisters went to law school.Thank You.Joseph Bersamin
Good service, right price.
Awesome thank you not much else, it speaks for itself, 😷👌🙏
Excellent service and excellent mechanic for excellent price! WOULD GIVE 6 STARS 🌟On a trip from San Diego to Washington my prius steering wheel started rattling on straightaways. So we pulled into Santa Cruz to stay the night and get it checked in the morning (Saturday) not many places open and not busy but Jim from Firestone recommend Jake at this Goodyear, because Firestone had Apts all day, as the best mechanic on the mountain thats honest with good pricing! 👌🏻 they werent super busy and even got us done an hour early because they knew we had to hit the road. Overall, great. They determined a weight was knocked off the front tires and needed rebalancing and that our brakes were dangerously low which the Toyota dealership said were fine for a long trip at 3 mm! (I shouldve actually looked at these numbers before embarking) Jake said our brakes were at 2 mm! $630 for new front brakes and they cleaned the back drums including $40 for balancing the tires which is steep considering Discount Tire does it for free. Also want to clarify that they informed me that the EPA no longer allows lead weights and so they must use steel (I think) which fall out much easier (to counter some of the other reviewers points that the do this intentionally to make you come back for rebalancing).
I just needed an oil change but these folks convinced me I needed a transmission fluid change and engine air filter change even though I’d fairly recently bought the (used) car from a dealership. Original time estimate was 1 hour but now it’s been nearly 4 hours of waiting on this. I hate when you have an initial time/price estimate that seems to get jacked up more and more. Despite convenient proximity for me, I probably won’t come back here.
Roads were closed. The guys werent too busy. and I needed help.Without hesitation they said they can help. They were so kind, and forthright, that I will definitely get my next set of tires at this Goodyear in Capitola, California. Thanks guys!! Juliet
I received kind, professional, and prompt service here. I am happy with the tires I had put on my vehicle. There is a small waiting area and a TV if you want to wait.
Went in thinking it was an hour and half till they close. Apparently corporate hasnt updated the business hours and they close at 5pm on Sundays. The service manager, Daniel, was kind enough to squeeze us in last minute since I needed new tires for a road trip in a couple of days. Service was fast and friendly. Definitely satisfied with the service.
Ive been going here for years with several cars and Ive noticed patterns, and checked repeatedly to be sure.. Avoid these clowns, it could save your life...1. They intentionally under-inflate tires (24#) to wear them out early on the edges to sell alignment services and new tires etc. Honest, I checked four cars before and after, then when I calmly asked the mgr to set the last one at a specific amount, it came back with lug nuts so tight they can not be removed - even using air tools. Theyve previously broken some of them, and now we know why. Failing to use a torque wrench at the end and trusting air tools that are set way to high, most likely intentionally too, just for speed.2. They also use wheel weights that fall off, wasting peoples time to make them come back in for balancing and an opportunity to sell more services.Under inflated tires (24#!) can get someone killed, and not being able to change your tire out in the middle of nowhere could too, just like seriously out of balance wheels can at highway speed when the speed wobble sets in.I even called corporate in Dayton, but have they reached out to me? Nope.Best to just avoid these maliciously vengeful incompetent clowns...
Stopped by to get a tire with a nail checked on. Folks were incredible; pulled out the nail, made sure tire was not leaking, then checked and topped off all the tires with air, refused to take even just a tip. Definitely coming back here again for any auto service.
Seems like charging 10 times the cost of parts is acceptable. Never come here if your in NEED because they will charge you way too much for something you can do yourself for a fraction of the price.I cant suggest looking elsewhere any more then I have, if you do need professional help look at the neighboring mechanics and ask around to get ideas on pricing.A quick summary of my experience was they estimated the price to be 1,800$ I found I couldnt afford it so I called to see if there was any chance they could lower the amount. After an hour or so he called and said the best they could do was 1,200$. But I couldnt afford even that (that is my fault, I know that) so I requested to just hault all fixes and I would take it home. After getting it towed home I found that the cost for the equipment was only 112$ online and the labor was an easy 30 minute video on YouTube and a few hours of trying it out in actual practice. Saving nearly 1100$ I cant find a real reason why paying for all their employees salary is necessary for my simple fix.TL;DR :Find the price of the parts you need, your research and time will save you a boat load in the long run. Also hard pass on this shop. Decent guys but charge way too much.
Fast and efficient service. They met our needs without trying to sells us things we didnt need. No hassle.
This should be the very last mechanic in Santa Cruz county that you turn to. I would much rather put my truck in a garage in watsonville than go with these guys. They tried to charge me $730 dollars to change out a heater hose to the engine. Got it done for $320 down the street. Then they had to odaxity to charge me 160 for an oil change and a diagnostic. If you go to Goodyear Capitola prepare to have your cheeks spread.
I had to go there again today for an alignment, thank you all of you for being so amazing and taking good care of us and our cars!
This place was recommended to me by my brother. It turned out to be a great place Ive had my tires replaced fixed. I even had my AC fixed at a great price. Daniel at the front desk has always been upfront and honest with me, on top hes been giving me the best prices
I have used this location for at least 20 years for my cars and trust their oil changes and service.Conscientious and informed counter people for all these years though recently all new folks.
Been using this shop for several years and always had a good outcome. There have been a few times that I have had issues but Goodyear has stood behind their work and resolved it.The customer service is usually always good but there have been a few rude people, bound to happen in an auto shop.I recommend this to anyone who wants a fair price on their auto service. They have a full service shop that is much cheaper than the dealer
Got 3 year warranty for car lots of pot holes where I live. He said bring in every 6 mth. More often if I feel it needs it.
Ive been bringing my vehicles to this Goodyear for several years. The staff work very hard to help you get the best deal and service you need. They are courteous and professional. I am very pleased with services provided.
The service was fine. They where funny too. It took two hours longer than they told me. But I got tires.
Daniel was super genuine and caring. He patched my tire that had nail in it.. I brought donuts for him the next day but he wasn’t working.. thank you Daniel!
Good year was GREAT for repairing tire puncture. Super courteous and helpful and got the job done quickly even though it was Saturday and they were busy. I was reluctant because some poor review s but they were great.
Excellent service, competitive prices and they delivered promptly. One thing to be desired is the transparency of their inventory and the prices. They seem to not recognize that the better informed consumer is a happier client, yet.
We walked in because our check tire pressure icon was lit on our dashboard. They immediately check all four tires and informed us of their $200 per tire discount if we were interested in quieter tires than the snow and ice treads that came with the car. Great service!
Perhaps the shop is under new management. The service has improved from last time. They performed the required work as specified and did not pressure for additional service.BTW, this Goodyear store is a great place to get a 3 year wheel alignment plan for a great price.
Although they can be a bit slow, they offer honest service with upfront pricing and knowledgeable staff. Their waiting room has coffee and water, and books for your kids. Its a great experience and I never stress about what the bill will be with them. They dont charge more just because you dont know a lot about cars.
I came in here because I had a flat tire and it was closest to where I was. Boy was I glad to stop by here. They fixed my flat for free and got me back on the road in no time. Just by doing this they gained a customer for life. The staff is very friendly and always willing to help. I have gotten numerous rotations and balances done here. I also ordered new Pirellis from them. They installed my customer provided wheels and lug nuts with no problem. Most of the staff are car enthusiast so you can definitely trust them to work on your car. I highly recommend coming here.
Got a flat while on vacation, stopped in at opening time and dropped off the tire, got the call that it was done 1 hour later. Great service! Thank you fellas.
Overall a great experience. My car had a vibration in the front end I was afraid that it was the front end or any number of very expensive things. I talked to the front desk he looked at tires and said I think it is just tires and alignment.... and it was! So now I have new tires and it is traveling great. They also did the service check for me. Thank you for your honesty Goodyear.
I got my oil changed here over the weekend. The service seemed fine until I tried to drive to work on Monday and began to hear a scraping noise as I drove on the highway. The pan beneath the car was not secured and had begun to drag and then broke. I had to be towed to a repair shop and eventually made it back to Goodyear. I missed a whole day of work waiting for the car to be fixed. I would never recommend this place again.
Stopped by second time, fast, friendly service.
Make sure to check the invoice! They will tell you a price over the phone and then tell you otherwise when you pay. The work is done when they tell you so you have little wiggle room. First and last time I come here. Employees arent too friendly either.
I bought a set of Wrangler Kevlar tires for a 2000 Toyota truck. Never had a previous flat tire, I am disappointed that I have had 2 flat tires with this highly prompted Kevlar tires. The service at the Capitola, Ca Goodyear has been problematic for me because they want to up-sale product and services including rear axel seal, shocks and premature brake pad change, after 70,000 miles, none of these were needed. I have had enough, and will not be going back. The straw that broke the camel’s back was the last visit when they wanted to sell me new tires instead of my request to rotate the better tires to the front and the front tires to the back because of their stated policy. They also tried to charge me for 7 quarts of oil. Never in the life of the truck has it taken more than 6 quarts. Manufacturers requirement is 6 quarts. They lost me as a customer, and I am shopping elsewhere!
Tried to mislead me into a $200 car battery replacement when my current battery had full charge. Went to batteries and bulbs and they gave the true picture... Be careful going here!!!
They did a decent, albeit lengthy job in replacing my car battery. It should not have taken three hours, but I did get a discount. The staff was helpful and apologetic for the long wait. I would give them another shot in the future.
We had several issues getting our tires, but in the end the staff made it right.
I got a quote for 4 tires on Saturday #1. The following Friday morning (at 10am) I called to make sure they would have all 4 tires for tomorrow (at 11am) and was assured they would be. Arrived on Saturday #2 to find that they only had 2 tires. I had them do the 2 tires anyway, scheduled the other 2 tires for the next Saturday (#3) and went home. Then found that they had charged me $20 more per tire above the original quote. Went back on Saturday #3 and was able to get the correct pricing (i.e. a refund) without an issue. But, 45 minutes later, was then told that they had forgot to order the 2 tires to be installed. So I had to wait 90 minutes while their guy drove to Los Gatos, to pick up the correct tires that they had a week to order and have delivered. After Id been there for 3-1/2 hours waiting for 2 tires, a brake check and an alignment, finally left with 2 tires, a $1,200 brake quote (containing over $1,000 of crap I didnt need or want) and no alignment. Even with the manager right there... No apologies, lousy customer service and very little attention to detail. A sad example of bad follow-through and mediocrity. Now I have to spend Saturday #4 finding another automotive shop to do the actual 4-wheel alignment. I will not be back and have already told several people to avoid them.
12 45 apt; for oil change and rotation; got there 15 mins late; came back at 2:20 pm and they had not even moved the car. Been having repairs for three vehicles done there for 15 years.including many sets of tires. No apologies. In the past year they have rotated so many folks in there its become patetic. In recent past they have neglected to do minor things, but its time to go elsewhere. The best thing about them now is they are close to my gym, but thats lost its allure now.
Seriously, seriously bad service. The service manager Daniel is completely dishonest and under prepared to take on the responsibility of customer service. Had an issue with my fairly new tires (2500) miles. When I had the tires installed Daniel insisted that I pay them to diagnose a noise that was coming from the rear tire. So I did. They said they couldnt diagnose the problem and wanted me to go to a rear end specialist. This week I took the car to a different shop for unrelated work and they noticed that my rear tires were worn down to the metal. The shop also noticed that the rear swing arm bushing were substantially worn. This should have been extremely obvious to the tech at Goodyear who originally did the diagnosis. The techs at this other shop saw it and they werent even looking. When I went back into Goodyear Daniel fought back and refused to call the warranty department and would not even give me the phone number without serious pressure. Refusing to take fault for your own mistakes does not make for a good manager, especially when you are willing to fight your customers for your mistake. To make matters worse is that this was a mistake that could potentially have ended in a dangerous situation had I lost a tire on the highway. Save your money. Youre better off going to firestone or the goodyear in scotts valley.
Terrible place. Just want to upsell and get their hands on your credit cards
They have always been helpful.
Repaired a tire, changed the oilSaturday afternoon. .no wait! Reasonable time to complete the work....another Saturday. Worst service EVER. Too many customers waiting over 3 hours for a simple oil change. A lot of angry customers
Took a little longer than they said but good work
Daniel and Jim were extremely helpful and transparent about the issues with my car, while only charging me for what they felt they could solve, and then recommending me to my car dealer. I will continue to be a regular patron here!
They work hard and fast
Thieves fraudulent ripped my daughter off charged her for new power stering pump and hoses did. Nothing. To the car she broke down on freeway 320.00 to tow home had power stering pump replaced by another goodyear dealer it was the original pump in the car still. RATTLESNAKE PEOPLE !!!!!!! ZERO INTEGERTY
I came in 9/9/17 at 1pm. I had a 1:30pm appointment for a oil change with fluid top. Today my car overheated due to no anti-coolant in my car. I did have a leak anywhere...it took tell 4pm to get my car and now Im afraid that maybe nothing was done to my car. When I was picking up my car they had a hard time ringing me up because the filter wasnt showing up that they put a new one in their systems. I asked is it because the mechanic didnt add it and the guy at the register said no and that he had to override it so they can charge me....2 other customers were complaining about service while I was waiting for my car which concerned me....They also did a free vehicle check and they said everything was ok with the car but I feel that the alignment is off and the engine mounts are loose. By the time my car overheated today it was too late Goodyear is closed for today.
Great service, good prices, and reputable technicians, thats why I keep going back.
Extremely honest. My car was making a loud noise when driving that sounded like metal dragging on the ground. They pulled off the tire where the sound was coming from and removed a rock that was wedged in between the rotor and the brake pad. They refused any money to pay for their service.
Great service and advice.
Terrible, made an appointment online to replace all four tires, yet when I show up for said appointment no tires. Whats the point in making an appointment if Goodyear is not going to know if they have the tires or not. Also they had no idea when the tires would be there. I dont have time for that. I will never even consider Goodyear again for anything.
Good work didnt rip me off
DO NOT USE THIS SHOP!! If 0 stars were an option i would do it.I came here only cause i had a free alignment from a car show. I had 4 tires mounted and balanced, it was 108$ when i normally pay 45. The weights were crooked and falling off.---You can not adjust camber or caster for my front 2 wheels so all you can do is 1 adjustment and that is toe, back wheels are not adjustable at all. I was only a couple of degrees off when I came in. They completely took me out of alignment from where i was currently without mentioning they screwed up my alignment. The adjustment was literally off the charts and told me to come back later. The manager told me we would talk about the cost of repairs I need to be able to align my front wheels. After 2 days and 100 miles my brand new bfg all terrain 31 inch tires were very worn. I called them and he said he told me that i was out of alignment and had to come back, but had failed to mention to me before just how bad they ruined my alignment, i was under the impression it was the same as when i drove into goodyear. I went to Wilsons Tires in SOQUEL, they were appalled when seeing goodyears before and after alignment paperwork. Just how can you make something so much worse then when you start?--Anyway Dave the manager at goodyear told me to come back in and we could talk about what I need to repair my vehicles front end for an alignment. guess what, I dont need your terrible alignment and knowledge of alignment because I had it done correctly and no repairs were needed just a knowledgeable person on how to do an alignment on a straight axle._ Pasillas tires in watsonville and Wilsons tires in soquel are great with great service. They back there work and have fair pricing. For the amount I paid for just a sloppy mount and balance from good year, you can get a mount, balance, and allignment from anywhere reasonable with good work.- Do not trust this shop to do anything for you, they are crooks and do not know what they are doing.
Very polite prompt and helpful
Dont trust the guys at the counterThey mounted tires from tire rack and couldnt get it right. They told me my suspension was bad. My hub and bearing assembly was shot, the wheel weights were falling off, i had a bent rim and needed 4 new ones, ect. I spent a total of 10 hours over 4 visits waiting at the shop and my tire is still wobbling. I wont go back. I called tire rack and explained the problem and the woman immediately said it sounds like a bad tire and a new one arrived next day! Why wouldnt Goodyear tell me that?! Maybe because that wouldnt make them any more money! Im very disappointed with their blatent dishonesty. All they do is tires. They should be able to diagnose the issue. Kudos to one of their mechanics. Even though he was wrong about my wheel bearing, he told me how to do it myself(under his breath in fear of being caught)This shop is crooked with bad management. Beware of up selling and scamming.
Kind, reasonable and I love shopping local
Second time going for an oil change and they still dont tighten the drain bolt enough. Had to self tighten it at home. Come on guys!!
Guy never told me how much the oil change was going to be or what type of oil I wanted. Very much felt like I was being upsold without even being asked
Consistent and always helpful...
They get the job done, though nothing really stands out.
Great fast service.
Good customer service, good auto service, on time
Nice job!! Strong coffee
Good service, fast repairs, helpful employees
I went in there, and they repaired my two flat tires for free.
Been using Goodyear tires for nearly 5 decades. Glad they have a database to keep track of my vehicle!
Helpful advice
Great
They take care of it very well
