Transfer service was excellent with low price, very very helpful, assisted and explained procedures for obtaining a concealed carry permit. I was extremely satisfied and felt I was treated extremely well as a customer. I plan on using Carlisle Gun Works for all my transfer requirements and will use them for my gun smith needs.

I hate to write negative reviews of small businesses. This is my first. Beware. I brought a Ruger Mini 14 for three things: 1) shorten the stock to eliminate the curved Ruger butt plate entirely including the inlet at the top, 2) install a rubber butt plate and 3) shorten the barrel to 16.25 with an 11 degree crown. CGW promised the work would be done in two weeks. It was not. It took multiple phone calls and multiple excuses to ultimately get the rifle back in about 5 weeks. When I received it back, the stock was not shortened to the length requested and I can only describe the cut and the fit of the butt plate as horrendous . . . the worst I have ever seen . . . and I have seen a lot. The barrel was shortened and finished by hand. It still showed file marks. Just awful. $165.00.

I hired this company to repair a gun for me. During the repair the gun was reportedly damaged (chewed on) by the owners dog. He kept my money, gave me the gun back and promised to send me the damaged parts. He is now ignoring my attempts to contact him. Do not use this company. Owner is not honest.
