I usually do not take time to review a dealer because of not really feeling that impressed, but today is a different day, Toyota of Carlsbad changed my mind. They have been far superior than any dealership I have ever dealt with. Starting with the phone call about my car troubles till my husband picked up the car after a repair, service was Top Notch!Nicole was Great (please say it like Tony the Tiger)! She went far beyond what I felt most customer service agents do, she was professional, personable, kind, efficient, and patient. She guided us through the process and made sure we were clear on everything being done and everything that needed to be done (we needed them to make us rode worthy so that we did not have to stay in town longer than we had planned).Everything they promised they took care of and Nicole even made sure things were ready for us on her day off when we picked our vehicle up.We want to formerly say “Thank You” to the dealership and all who had a hand in such satisfactory service, but especially to Nicole who is your face, the first person we as customers saw. She represented the company well, and she deserves recognition for her commendable service. The mechanics did a wonderful job too because they lived up to their word and we were able to drive home safely and get our vehicle to the Toyota dealer in our area. I recently bought a new car at Toyota Carlsbad. Octavio and Hugo made my experience great. Due to the vehicle shortage, I had to reserve a car and wait for it to arrive. Octavio was very upfront and informative. Hugo helped me through the financing options and made the whole process easy. The technicians also did a great job getting the car ready for delivery. It was clean and everything was installed properly. Very trustworthy dealership.

Went to Toyota Carlsbad used car lot and it was not a good experience. We were in the first step of buying a car which is finding out which car we wanted. We wanted to test drive a car but the whole time he talked about payment, loan, etc... (didn’t test drive anything) towards the end he practically said we can’t afford a big car and we should look for a smaller car. He was an a$$ and definitely lost a sale. Maybe it was because we weren’t dressed fancy? Little did he know we could practically buy the car cash. Recommend you go to Toyota of Escondido’s used cars. Very nice and they don’t ask so many questions about pay.

From start to finish Emily took excellent care of me. I of course wanted the ever popular Tacoma in a 4x4 off road package. She was patient and always willing to answer any questions I had regarding the order. When it came time to deliver it was a pain free process and in fact the fastest I’ve ever gotten out of a car dealership. The rest of the staff was very professional and extremely personable. I will be buying another vehicle from them in the future!

This place is really ridiculous. I want purchase a Camry hybrid. They told me the price is 33000$and wheel upgraded 3000$. I said I don’t need it, but they disagree. I said ok, so what the otd price is if I put 6000$ down payment and trade in my car which valued 18750$ by them. They told me I have to pay over 600 a month for 5years! Unbelievable!

Horrible sales experience. We made a deal remotely. I was going to pick it up but I was busy over the weekend. I wanted to pay the deposit and complete the paperwork remotely so I was committing to buy the car. They said they could not hold the car over the weekend and would let me know if the car was still available to be picked up on Monday. Nobody got back to me. They wanted to see if they could get a better deal over the weekend even if we already made a deal. Horrible sales experience. Dont shop there.

This was the fastest, most efficient car buying experience I’ve had. The people I interacted with were kind, professional and expedient. Even the financial part was easy. I was probably off the lot with my new car in a little over an hour.

I had the best car shopping experience at Toyota Carlsbad. Ask for Martin; he is honest and fair. I had looked at a Rav4 Prime at another dealership that created fake fees, making the cars price 14k more; this was not the case at Toyota Carlsbad. I even upgraded my seats with them. I am thrilled with my new car. Their finance department was also helpful, and I did not feel pressured in any way.

We purchased a 2021 Toyota Tundra on June 30. Within three months, it needed a new transmission. I left a message for Ivan - apparently a manager - asking for a call back to discuss. I never received the professional courtesy of a call back. We dealt with Toyota in San Juan and they were even worse. Buddy, the service person there, was rude and condescending. It’s been like pulling teeth to get answers as to how a brand new truck needs a new transmission within three months. This truck was a huge purchase for us and I really expected more accountability.

Pretty aggressive sales. They add 20% (with options you dont need) to the price just because they sell good. Doesnt care what people want or dont - take it or leave attitude.

The new car manager, Ariel, was very helpful every step of the way and got me a great 4Runner with the options and color I was looking for. I have contacted this dealership on 2 occasions looking to purchase a new vehicle. They will post the vehicle I’m looking for online. When I show up at the dealership to purchase or test drive the vehicle it is not there. They explain how the vehicle is “in transit.” Okay well bummer.So the second time I contact them to see when a different vehicle will arrive, I get passed around to multiple people avoiding the original question. Come to find out that they do not have the vehicle and the vehicle is not actually “in transit.” Ok, well then I ask about the other 4 vehicles they have listed and the manager admits that none of those vehicles are available to purchase or “in transit!”This place is very discouraging. Make sure you call the dealership first before going there. They are sales people and do not trust there online website as it is a tool to lure you in.Good luck.

Emily and the Toyota of Carlsbad team is amazing. The dont add pricey market adjustments like other Toyota dealerships (Kearny Mesa in particular). Kearny Mesa wanted to charge me 18k over MSRP for the Toyota rav4 hybrid XSE, it was also the base model XSE, no added features. I asked the salesman if I could build my own and pay the MSRP price and he told me Toyota wouldnt approve the build. Emily from Carlsbad told me that wouldnt be a problem and they dont add in the market adjustment, I could pay MSRP. Love them!

By far the most pleasant experience at a dealership I have ever had. Worked with Steven Robles and the fleet manager Lou Maldonado and they made my process as simple as possible. It was a hour and a half drive for me to get there and definitely worth going out of the way to purchase there. This was the best car buying experience Ive ever had (used 2019 Sienna). Dan Gilmour is the guy to ask for. I was in and out of there in two hours including test drive. The price on CarGurus was the real price and Dan didnt try to oversell or push anything. I did more talking than he did, but all his answers were spot on and true. I cant believe Im writing this but I even liked the finance manager, Bob. I didnt finance through them but was treated professionally and respectfully by Bob. He didnt push anything, all he did was offer a perfectly reasonable warranty. I will be buying my next car here as well.

First time car buyer and I cant say enough about how pleased I was with the service at Toyota Carlsbad!!! I took a train down to that area because I live hours away. Before I even got to the dealership Sharon, a finance manager worked it out to get me an amazing interest rate, even though I have basically NO CREDIT. I took the train down the next day and Duff picked me up RIGHT FROM THE STATION! I spent a couple hours with Duff figuring out what the absolute best fit would be for my budget and needs. We ended up landing on a car that was perfect but a little steeper in price than I could justify. So Duff took it to Dana his sales manager and they worked out a price that I was totally comfortable with. Tracy another finance manager was a rockstar and finished my paperwork and contract super quick. Once the car was picked out...I was in my NEW CAR and on my way home in no time all. I was sooo glad I made the trek down to see Duff and his team. Highly recommended, and when Im in the market again...I will only buy cars from Toyota Carlsbad. No joke.

Typical sleazy car dealer.I was interested in a new Toyota that’s in high demand. I got a call that one was in stock. I said I’d like to see it but not if they were marking it up above list price. They said they were selling it at list price, no more.They just didn’t bother to mention until I got there that they put mag wheels and were charging an additional $4995.00 for the wheels.Sleezy car dealers like this Is why I don’t buy a new car more often. It’s almost never a good experience.

My fiance bought his cars from here years ago and the financing and the vehicles have been great. He just finished paying them off and they immediately released the titles. DMV has been giving him a headache trying to release one of the cars Ive been using to me because they said Toyota hadnt actually released the titles and the DMV treated us poorly over it. We decided to visit Toyota Carlsbad to see what was happening and they were extremely nice with this frustration and said they would rerelease the titles for him to make sure DMV got the memo. Well I thought they were trying to rip me off. Took my Tacoma in due to an issue with the steering. That cost me new tires (existing tires were 40K miles on them) and an alignment (I didn’t think the alignment was an issue but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt.) I requested a few times if it was necessary for all four tires and alignment. I explained that the economic situation has hit my pocket book and anything they could hold off on would be welcome.They insisted it be done and I agreed and paid my $1,700.Upon completion they called me back and explained that they had found a “Heavy Oil leak coming from the right valve cover.” They went on to state that the “mechanic doesn’t recommend taking it off the lot.” By now my BS detector was up as I’ve not noticed an oil leak and I check under the hood often and run a diagnostic scan every 6 mos.My check engine light has never been on & so I asked what it would cost to fix? Answer: “it will be $578.90 to remove valve cover and inspect. Not sure what the cost of the fix is.”Long story short, just took to another mechanic who I have had repair my cars for 32 years. I should have gone to him in the first place but my original thought was the Tacoma had an issue that they’d fixed before on a recall. He inspected the valve cover, said there is a “slight seap” of oil, showed him the Toyota report and his answer was “they tried to rip you off.”Nice work, Toyota Carlsbad. Let me guess your service techs/ writers are on commission? This is how you treat a loyal Toyota customer of 30+ years?

What a great car buying experience! I had met Hillary a few years back when she wasn’t even in sales. About a year later, when I was having my oil changed, she “reintroduced” herself to me and said she has gotten into sales now. She said if I ever needed her help, let her know. My new car was about 2 1/2 years old and I get a letter from toyota about trading it in. I had kept Hillary’s card, just in case, and called her the next day to see if she was even still there! AND......... she was! (Had it Of not been for her answering her phone, I wouldn’t have a new car!)I told her what I was looking to do, and next thing you know, I’m getting informative texts, all the information I needed. We took care of doing the trade in via text, step 1 done! My new car was in transport, so I was thinking sometime this week. Then I get a text Saturday morning, my car had just arrived if I wanted to come in. I went in, the process was a smooth as I could of asked for! She had the car cleaned and detailed as I was waiting for finance. I seriously don’t know that I could of asked for a better experience!Not only is Hillary and nice person, but she has a personality, she listens, she isn’t pushy, she makes you laugh and helps in whatever way she can! Had it of not been for her remembering me and giving me her card, I probably wouldn’t of went back to that toyota. When she was showing me the new screen in the 2020 and setting up my cell phone, she even remembered us calling my sister on the first test drive 30 months prior! I literally can’t recommend her enough!GO ASK FOR HILLARY!

I used to have a very high regard for Toyota and their customer service, but I do not think they are anymore the great old car company. My 2007 Toyota camry have got excessive oil consumption because of design flaws in the engine pistons rings. I called Toyota today and they said they do not take any responsibility, although they acknowledged it is a design flaw. It is such a shame that such a company does not take responsibility for their own mistakes. Please be careful buying Toyota and try to consider other car companies with better customer service (like Honda)If you search the web, you would learn that excessive oil consumption is common in many Toyota models.

In toyota Carlsbad is a scam, I am not very happy with the seller Martin Suarez deceives his clients by making them believe that he helps you and when you believe that you have already made a deal I will pay you with high interest after us believe for more than 10 years and recommend people They cheat saying that your lease is a good deal when it is not and if you try to buy it they want to sell it to you as a new zero mile and I think that this man is not professional when asking if your social is good or better for my appearance and when I told him that I did not agree with the deal he offered me, he demanded that I leave the lease but that I had to pay at that time the miles that were lost, I do not recommend this location, they waste your time

Duff Joy was very kind and really heard our wants and needs. I left with the car I wanted. Pmts were higher that I wanted. The time that you spend there is way to long. They need to find another way to process things. After working with Duff which was very pleasant. We went to another person who was nice was well. Over all the experience was nice, but to long.

I went to another dealership in San Diego first. Within 10 minutes it was SUPER clear that they were doing the standard shady car sales person back and forth silliness. They down talked and lied about other dealerships.Go in my car, called Carlsbad and scheduled on the way. Told them what I wanted. No bs. Easy and fast to negotiate. While waiting for the paperwork person to open up they weren’t weird about me running to get dinner. When things were taking longer than expected to get me in to sign my person went above and beyond to get me in so I could get home.They even delivered the car to my house the next day! Definitely one of the easiest car buying experiences I have had!
