Its definitely got a good selection. If youre wanting something that isnt your typical fare, this place is pretty awesome. Prices are a bit too high. Probably being that close to the beach the rent likely justifies it. But I dont give high marks to any liquor store that hordes all their rare stuff and sells it for massively inflated secondary market prices. Reward your good customers or do lotteries or just put the stuff out there and let people get incredible scores. I may as well shop online for the good stuff at these prices.

The clerk knew exactly what I was talking about when I approached and asked. I was tasked with buying some tequila for the party despite the fact that I do not drink and am a poor choice for treating with such a responsibility. However, the clerk helped me out speedily. He asked me for i.d. like he thought my ignorance and naïve approach indicated I was underage, and seemed a little surprised when he saw the 199X on my i.d. 🥴 guess I dont look as old and decrepit as I feel! Good selection, good staff.

Dont tell anyone about the $2.99 closeout kiosk. All the cool beers will be gone.

They say they’re open at 9am but I’ve been here twice at 9am and they’re always closed. Owner sometimes offers me deals on rare stuff though, and that makes everything groovy.

Theres huge selection to choose from and they have cigars although limited but what they have is one stop shop! Definitely recommend!!

Great selection....but youre paying a premium for it. $16.99 a piece for a single can of trillium or treehouse. I did find a 4 pack of OH ipa for $24.99...packed 9/30.

Great selection of rare beers, but youll pay much more than you would at BevMo or other retailers. Also they dont have Wi-Fi here and you pay a big surcharge to pay by credit card.

I tried to come here about a week ago, it said they closed at 11 on Google and on their door sign. I was already in downtown carlsbad on my scooter and wanted to get something to drink when I got home.I get there at 10:45 and the store still had all the lights on, the open sign was on, but the doors were locked and when I knocked and waited no one came over to at least tell me they were closed.Now I understand that most places actually close about ten mins before their posted closing time, however this was closer to twenty mins before and I just think if youre going to have your open sign on you should be letting customers in or at least saying to them that youre closed instead of letting them just stand there outside cause this store is not a very big one so I know yall arent like a grocery store where you have multiple huge isles to clean and restock and multiple employees clocking out.Honestly pretty disappointing considering all the other times Ive come in your cashier has been pretty friendly and the prices were... okay for the area.I understand downtown is expensive and youre close to the freeway so Im not going to fault yall on that one cause you at least have cheap options. But thats why Im giving 4 instead of 5, I didnt appreciate knocking and waiting outside looking like some kind of alcoholic when it was supposedly open 😂😂

Amazing selection of craft beer. If you are looking for hazy ipas this is the place. I browsed for a bit and saw the employees giving great service helping people find things. The rare beers can be a bit pricey but this is the only place Ive seen some.

Multiple times Ive been overcharged, and had to have them change it. More recently, they do not wear or enforce masks despite COVID-19 safety protocol requirements. I wont return.

This place has an absolutely insane selection of beer - top-notch Belgian imports, local limited bottle releases that otherwise didnt make it outside of tasting rooms, a few breweries that dont usually see distribution to the West Coast - and an impressive whiskey selection. Very strange, as the staff seemed completely uninterested in the product.

The customer service sucks. I asked the man behind the counter a simple question about the taste of this vodka he had and I noticed there was petron, so I daid theres tequila and h is reply was one is vodka and the other is tequila. I said I can see that my question to you was what does this type of vodka taste like. So I said forget it Ill get the Patron. I go to mske the payment with my card and he tried to tell me that I had a chip card when I do not.

Pricey, but the selection is worth it. This joint is wall to wall, floor to ceiling, variety. Staff are friendly. Dead presidents will lead to a failing liver; this place is pricey and worth it.

I discovered this place years ago. It had a lot of collectable spirits that are pricy but not excessive. When Im in the area I always stop by to see what is available. Cudos to the owner for scoring such a grand selection.

Asked if they delivered champagne (as a gift) to someone in Carlsbad. The first call, they told me to call back because he didnt know how to do that. Second call back, they told me to call back on Wednesday and talk to Ryan, and before I could say another word, they hung up on me. Not very helpful or nice.
