We have used California Closets to design and install cabinets in our laundry room, garage, pantry and our master bedroom closet. Every area turned out perfectly, Hayley was amazing to work with and the installers were fast and did an excellent job! We couldnt be happier and definitely look forward to using them again for future projects.

We were looking for a custom closet and a large built in book shelf. Erin came out, fully listened to what our needs and wants were and somehow transformed that information into our beautiful closet and built in book shelves. During the design process she went out of her way to ensure our designs met our expectations but also were within our price point. She didnt hard sell us, pressure us into more expensive finishes or guilt us into making the necessary adjustments to fit our budget. Both of the spaces exceeded our expectations! I am looking for more projects in our house for her to work on! She was professional, kind, outgoing and just had a magnetic personality. LOVED working with her and hope to do it again, soon!

We recently bought a new home and when we moved, had to leave our old library shelving behind. We had the perfect place for it in our new house but needed some direction to go about putting it in. We called California closets and got set up with a consultation almost immediately. Jennifer was very friendly from the time she entered our home and drew up a design plan to show us. We wanted a couple different options and that wasnt a problem at all. We ended up going doorless for now but plan to add doors later for hidden storage. The process overall was fast and smooth. It was only 3 weeks from order to install, although we were originally told it could be as long as 8-10 so we were very pleasantly surprised. On install day, our installer gave us a call to let us know when he would arrive and when he got here he got started right away after taking some measurements to make sure everything was correct in the plans. It took him about 6 hours start to finish and we are very pleased. Will definitely do business again in the future!

I used California Closets to rework my kitchen pantry and add shelving/ hanging space in a guest room closet. My design consultant Emma Zieverink was fantastic and very easy to work with. She redesigned my pantry and closet to make the most of the storage space and was extremely efficient and helpful. The installation was done quickly and I was very pleased with the results in both spaces. I would definitely recommend their services.

California Closets and in particular Bron Dailey (designer) created a custom designed entertainment center for our downtown townhouse. We wanted sleek, space saving, area to display decor, lighting, an area for a TV with room to add a bigger TV someday, and cabinets that hid all the cables for the technology! Bron nailed it! We love it! This is our 3rd project this spring with California Closets. We also did our master bedroom closet and guest bedroom closet. Both designs are perfect! I had seen advertising for California Closets for many years but thought one needed a lot of space and a good chunk of money to qualify for a California Closets. I was educated at the beginning of the year that California Closets can and will do any size closet and budget. I thought there would be no harm in having a consultation since it was free. I had the pleasure of having Susan be my designer. We sat down with my partner and she listened to what we liked, thought, needed, etc.... For this consultation I was struggling with my bedroom closet because I have an A-frame house with a closet that isnt large and is also awkwardly shaped. I found myself frustrated and stressed going into my closet everyday to choose my outfit for the day. I often had to move several items to access shoes and I couldnt see what I had without moving items. Susan came in and looked at the closet, took measurements and we discussed what problems we were having with the closet and what we would like to be able to do with it. A few days later we went up to the showroom where Susan showed us her design for the closet. She created three different versions that allowed us to choose a budget we were comfortable with. We got to see the finishes and how drawers and shelving would work being in the showroom with the hardware and furniture. I had walked into the consultation with a price in mind of what I thought was reasonable and it turned out to be within my price range. My partner and I cleaned out the closet, took out all existing hardware and repainted the closet before California Closets came in. They arrived on time and in a few hours completed my dream closet. I smile every time I walk into the closet. It has remained clean, clear, and organized. It has made choosing my outfits each day stress free and Susan was great through the entire process.I guess when you do one closet you get the bug, and I saw the possibility that my food pantry (what I made into a food pantry but was really just a closet) could have the same type of excitement and function that my clothes closet did. A few months later, I had Susan come back out and take a look at the pantry. This time it was during the pandemic which created a different type of interaction but all safe and good. We had those sliding doors on tracks that drive people nuts and I said that I would love to get rid of them. My partner said, we cant have no doors, how will I hide my Cheetos? Susan laughed and said she would find a way and sure enough she did. Later that day (I think because she was so excited) she got on a Zoom call with us showed us her design for the pantry and I was so excited. And we got to see our pantry with a 3D software that even let you click on a drawer, open and close it. She did it. She found a way to create more functional space and a way to make it appear like it was part of the original kitchen but now with more space. Susan had taken note that we had the blender and instant pot on top of the fridge and had come up with a solution so we wouldnt have to leave those appliances out. We set up the day for installation and my partner and I cleaned out the pantry and got it all ready. Dalane arrived on time in the morning and by late afternoon he had our new pantry complete. He was also our technician for the first install. And he was respectful, efficient, and detail-oriented. I was so excited that I immediately started to put everything in its new place. Once again, I felt that what I was getting was completely worth the price. Getting cereal this morning felt like a real treat. Oh and those Cheetos are hiding in one of those baskets. On to the next closet, right?

Our laundry room needed an upgrade with new cabinets and more storage options. I worked with Jennifer Scott who came up with several designs from which I could choose what worked best for me. She carefully listened to my needs, brought some ideas, made adjustments that fit within my budget, made more changes as I added a few more ideas...and we couldnt be happier with the final product. Jennifer was so great to work with - flexible, creative, responsive and patient! The installation team was on time and very professional. There were a couple of missing items at installation, but they promptly fixed those, and I wasnt charged until the entire job was fully complete and to my satisfaction. I was so happy with this process that we began working on another one right away and I am extremely happy with that project as well. I highly recommend California Closets!

Merrick was awesome and nailed the design the first try. Hardest part for me was ripping out old shelving, patching holes and sanding/painting.The installation was smooth as butter and he was out with no mess before 1:00 PM. It looks way better than I had anticipated. Cant wait to show my girls that they each have space and it is identical, so no fights allowed! The installations were expensive but the ordering, finalizing, and installation were all top shelf. Love that the lifetime warrantee transfers to the next owner. That is worth a lot right there. Total cost for two walkin closets was around $1500/each. I blinged them out a little, but did not go for the most expensive options. Thanks California Closets of Carmel!

This is the third time we have used California Closets and every time I have had nothing but great things to say. Erin is fantastic and really listend to what we needed. The installation was incredibly fast and the result is awesome - my son now has a well-organized, sturdy closet setup that makes the most of the room we have. Sometimes you just need a tweak to take a small space from Ugh! to Ahh! That was my goal for our family lockers space and our sons closet. I knew what I wanted, but didnt know how to execute it. Thankfully, Emma Zieverink at Cal Closets did! Emma took the stress out of my mess by custom designing images on her computer that exactly aligned with my vision. At the height of the pandemic we moved into a new construction home. Having no intention of buying new construction (but a deal we couldnt refuse), it was a complete shock just how much you actually need to do to a brand new house.Our immediate reaction was to look at Container Store to see if we could upgrade the master bedroom closet. We got our designs and quotes. Things looked good. In doing our due diligence, we got two other designs and quotes to ensure we were making the best decision. Our thought was to quote two standard companies and one high end. Closets by Design & Container Store (standard) & California Closets (high end) were the choices.Both Closets by Design & Container Store gave us great master bedroom closet designs and quotes. We were sure that California Closets would be way over budget. When our designer, Merrick McGraw, presented her plans we almost fell over. The price was essentially the same and the product was spectacular. How?! In that moment we forgot everything we thought we knew about California Closets. Let me promise you. Its aint just closets, people!During a walk through in the showroom, we saw a custom entertainment center. They do that?! We need that! We immediately got a quote on our basement. The Pottery Barn modular set we were *this*close* to buying was MORE expensive that Merricks custom plan- and that included install! DONE DEAL.Tear out, construction, installation, timeliness, communication, billing were all on point. Whenever we had any questions or concerns, they were handled efficiently and with grace.Our experience was so incredible weve recommended CC & Merrick to everyone we know. We used California Closets to do our closets in our brand new home. Everything went very well.1. The emails and phone calls to set up our in person appointment went smoothly. Meeting with their designer was very helpful in realizing our dream closets. She had an excellent read on what we wanted and provided helpful input and suggestions.2. The follow up emails with the 3-D imagery really helped us see how our designs would look.3. The designer came out and measured all of our closets to ensure accurate numbers. She was on time, worked fast, and answered all of our questions.4. When it came time to approve our designs, there was no hesitation on her part to tweak the things we wanted to change and she was knowledgeable enough about the products to let us know her opinion on things we were questionable on. California Closets built a custom wardrobe and installed custom drawers and shelving in our bedroom/master closet. We could not be more pleased with the result. We had excellent service throughout. I worked with Hayley at California Closets, and they were great to work with! We did an initial zoom meeting to review 3 different pantry options. They worked hard to get our pantry in as quickly as possible. They had some trouble with our countertops as it was a difficult angle to cut, but they made sure to make it right! We love our California closets! Due to the pandemic we did a virtual consultation and it still went seamlessly. They planned out exactly what we wanted with us together, and helped make adjustments and suggestions that would maximize our space. The quality is amazing and honestly now I want to do every closet in our home! The installation was professional and they even clean everything! The whole thing was top notch.

California Closets was an excellent choice for us. My initial impression was we wouldnt be able to afford anything, but they had really good options that fit our lower end budget, with plenty of choices and customizations. We ended up with an excellent configuration for our walk in closet and did the rest of the bed room closets as well. I wish we would have done this ten years ago. If their pricing and availability remains the same, well be approaching them again to configure about every other storage location in our house.

We now have new master closet and pantry and love them both. CC does a excellent job every time I hire them. Great ideas for unusual spaces, incorporating furniture into design. The color and texture choices enhance every room, every closet.My man cave TV room, is so stylish, with built in cabinets and shelves! No need for an entertainment center/ furniture. Fits perfectly. This room is now the highlight of the house! For women also...Merrick McGraw and the team are the best! I have not had a complaint yet, and have hired them for three different homes. All three have been featured in magazines.

We used California Closets for our master bedroom closet and a set of cubbies in our entryway from the garage. Jennifer was our designer and did a tremendous job designing the area. My wife was a little concerned by the initial estimates for the job. However, after one zoom meeting with Jennifer she was on board and we got a closet that was functional and elegant. The zoom meeting helped to iron out details that we wanted to make our closet functional for us as well as get us closer to our budget. The mudroom cubbies look amazing and are functional. My only minor complaint is that some of the hardware for the mudroom cubbies werent in the packaging when the installers came and they had to come back a second time to finish the job. I will chalk that one up to CoVID and our distance from Indianapolis but the end product is great.

I had just moved into my new old house (built in 1913) that had more closets than most houses of the size and vintage but the space wasn’t used to its best advantage. The California Closets designer measured both of my small walk-in closets and sat down with me to discuss my specific needs for each space. She was attentive and very personable. I approved her design, they kept in touch with the progress of the production of my custom shelving and components. Installation of both closets probably took three hours or less. Very clean. I am very pleased with the process from design to installation and would not hesitate to use them again. Highly recommend!

The designer did a wonderful job working with my wife and I thru the design process and then installation was completed in a very professional, detailed manner. The installer was very careful and communicated very well to me on any issues and was helpful in coming up with solutions when we did have some minor issues. I will be using CC again for my next home project!Overall California Closets exceeded our expectations and we could not be happier!

Installer did a great job explaining the process of the install prior to starting. Installer made sure we understood how everything worked before leaving. We had a great experience buying California Closets for our Master Bedroom. We did a renovation and added Cal Closets. My wife always wanted Cal Closets so we had them out to give us their thoughts. The product is excellent and it was not as expensive as I thought it would be. The salesperson, Erin, and the entire team was very professional.
