My wife and I moved out of NY in 2006 and this is hands down the best pizza we have had in 15 years. We lived in NC until 2019 and relocated to the Carmel area in December 2019 and have not been able to find a true authentic NY pizza place until now. For all the New Yorkers in this area, if youre looking for a pizza place, look no further...and for the non-New Yorkers, if you want really good pizza, definitely check out Bellas. Were glad we did and we will definitely be going back (and telling everyone we know about it as well!!).
Bellas pizza offers a great NY style pizza at a very reasonable price. They are generous with their toppings, fast and friendly. The have a good rewards program as well. Good work to Miguel and all the other staff at Bellas Pizza in Clay Terrance.
This is hands down the closest you will get to New York style pizza in the central Indiana area. I am from Syracuse New York originally and have tried many pizzerias in the area over the last 24 years I have lived here and cannot find a better pizza that reminds me of home!
My go to place for NY style pizza. Close as I can get to foldable slices of my youth!
This is amazing pizza! Its just like I grew up with and definitely brought back memories. The white pizza is divine! Love, love, love!
Due to all the great views, ordered the NY style pizza. Very disappointed. Looked nothing like the pictures, very little cheese, crust bubbled up through most of pizza. The crust was great, breadsticks great. The lack of cheese on the pizza was a huge disappointment.
I ordered one extra large cheese and one extra large pepperoni Sicilian, because they sent 50% off coupon. Everything was good as I expected. Thanks again for the coupon.Jan. 3rd, 2019I ordered 2 extra large plain pizzas. I like this place as soon as they opened the first one in Carmel. Because this place remains me NYC. As far as I know, if your pizza tastes bad, you will be closed down in 6 months in NYC. But the pizzas I ordered today were very salty sauce and salty dough. That’s why the pizzas taste bad overall. I expected they should be more careful in quality and quantity control in the near future.8/23/19I ordered two extra large pies of cheese and Bella. Somehow the cheese pie was too salty and the Bella was used minced garlic from a jar. Who’s using minced garlic for pizza? I am from New York City and the most of pizza shops use slices garlic on their pizza for the look, the taste and the smell . The smell is totally different with sliced garlic and minced one. The worst pizza I ever tasted ever.
YUM. Just a great place to run and grab a slice! Really friendly crew. :)
My teen son and I had a long day of errands today. One of our stops happened about lunchtime, and as I returned to my vehicle I noticed wed parked nearly in front of Bella Pizzeria. The sign listed calzones, a personal favorite, as an offering, so we decided on a whim to eat there.Im so glad we did! I opted to try a pizza roll, and my son got a calzone. We also ordered garlic knots, basically soft breadsticks in bite sized form. Everything was delicious! The knots had just the right amount of garlic for us, and had a bit of a pretzely texture: a sort of thin shell on the outside, but soft chewy bread goodness on the inside. The crust on my pizza roll was on point: a thin crispy shell to bite through on the outside, but softer inside. Pizza crust is a favorite part for me, so the ends were satisfyingly crusty and without much filling to interrupt the enjoyment. The middle had lots of filling (beware how you hold it or you may lose a few bites if you arent over a plate) so you wont feel at all cheated. I couldnt finish the whole roll, but my son happily dispatched it.His calzone was too hot to eat at first, but he enjoyed it thoroughly. Well happily return in future.
I love their pizza but now I believe we may need to only order fresh. I do not believe they are having their young employees clean the oven. Pizza has been charded on the bottom and a bit on top. Not going to stop buying their pizza. When selecting pizza sitting out there is not much of a selection either. 😔 I do not like leaving sad reviews.
Always yummy.... Just wish one was a little closer to home!
Im in love with this pizza. So hard to find NYC style pizza in Indiana and this place knocks it out of the park. Its definitely the best slice Ive had in the Midwest. 🍕
Ive been a customer for over 6 years, I know how big their pizza slices are. When I went inn to buy 2 slices for my kids the lady wanted to give me 2 tiny little slices (half of a regular size). When I asked if the price was going to be half as well she told me it would be $8, which is the full price.BE AWARE THEY ARE NOT SELLING YOU THE FULL SIZE SLICE ANYMORE. QUALITY IS GOING DOWN TERRIBLY IN THIS STORE. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO ELSEWHERE.
Ok so the place is clean and staff is friendly. However, when we walked in, we asked if the pizza is original newyork style and the guy said that people come in and say it reminds them of their home aka Newyork when they try it. So we ordered two pizzas and it was nothing but disappointment. In my opinion the newyork pizza should have a nice crust and you should be able to fold it without have the cheese and sauce fall off. This was like a deep dish pizza on a thin-crust. It was very greasy and as soon as you folded it, the cheese and sauce would fall off. If you are into that kind of pizza than this place is for you.
Friendly service, decent food.
They have very good pizza. It tastes more like East coast pizza than most places. But, I just ordered their calzones and they are so tiny. So, small. They used to be a decent size but no more. SO be warned.
Beauty is obviously in the eye of the beholder - but we loved it. Our small group stopped in for a quick lunch during a long day of kids soccer training at Grand Park. They were friendly, fast, and the food was very good.
Excellent NY style pizza. The staff were really nice and the atmosphere is trendy. I will certainly go back and I heard delivery is free 😊.
Great pizza and great atmosphere. Hayley and her team do an amazing job the pizza is SO good. Keep up the good work guys.
I’ve been coming here for probably 10+ Years and it’s gone downhill the past 2-3years. The new younger workers in there are very rude every time I go in there. Also there seems to be this new thing where the last 3 times I tried to go they always say “it’ll be 30-45 minutes for a whole pizza” even for dine in. Furthermore the place is always dirty, and the pizza is always undercooked on top and burnt on bottom. Every. Single. Time. Won’t be returning which is a shame. Loved their pizza.
Always an easy meal with great quality and a friendly staff.
We ordered 3 pizzas for delivery, barbecue chicken, pepperoni & Sicilian pizza, and garlic knots with garlic butter for dipping. Those garlic knots were great & the dipping butter *drool* SO GOOD! The pizza, not so much. All pizzas were undercooked leaving the dough a bit soft & chewy. The flavor of each pizza changed bite-to-bite like ingredients werent mixed well and applied inconsistently. The flavor was great a few bites, then tasted too salty next (the pepperoni pizza was overall significantly saltier than the other pizzas), tasted as though there was no seasoning used at all, as well as overly tart, sweet, and like too much pepper was used. Ill continue my search for good NY style pizza.
They should clean better. The pizza bottoms seem to have pieces of burnt crumbs on it.
Update:Bumped from 2 to 3 stars. Someone from management reached out, listened to my concerns, and made a promise to address them. I respect that. Doesnt change what happened in the past, but Im optimistic that the customer service is heading in a better direction.Original (2 stars):Hate to do this, but I have tried this place 2 times in the last 3 years and the customer service is terrible. I decided to give them another chance since it had been so long and the place has not turned around. The pizza is good, the service is terrible.
We ate dinner at Bella Pizza it was one of the worst experiences. My wife got lasagna when she got it the lasagna was ice cold, they heated it up again it was still lukewarm. When we went to say something about it they acted like we were bothering them. I got a pizza it was one of the worst pizza’s I have ever had. The service was horrible through out the whole meal they didn’t acknowledge us once except to tell us our pizza was almost done. When we left no one acknowledged us. I will never be back ever again.
Gave 2 stars because the pizza could have really been good. I was disappointed in how skimpy my stuffed pizza was. Ordered through door dash, ended up paying about $34 for a pizza with hardly any toppings or cheese. If it was not for this I would actually order again, because the pizza had Pretty good flavor, too bad.
Pizza was good for mall-style pizza, but I had hoped it would be a little better given the neighborhood. Its that typical super- thin crust, with sparsely added toppings. They serve you a huge piece, but then it only had 4 or 5 pieces of pepperoni on it. The servers were nice and it didnt take long to get our food at noon on a Saturday, so thats good. Our kid was happy and I guess thats all that matters. Im sure well be back again as this is the only kid-friendly eatery in Clay Terrace.
Came in for a slice of pizza today at Bella Pizzeria in Clay Terrace. The server was handling cash prior to my turn. When I was up, I asked for a slice and the server held the pizza with his bare hand and the knife in the other. I asked him to stop and wear gloves (other server was wearing them while serving other customers). He paused and rolled his eyes with an attitude. Told him I don’t want the slice anymore and asked for my money back. Had to wait for the manager to come out of the restroom to make the return transaction. She didn’t say a single word or even looked at me. Not a single apology. Handed me my money and I left. Worse customer service I’ve experienced. Will never return or recommend
If you go into it with the expectation its like a mall pizza, ny style, its great! Super fast as well.
Some what disappointed. Its been a few years since we had ordered pizza there. Always enjoyed their NYC style thin slice pizza and Sicilian style. Was nearby and decided to order both pies and was very disappointed in the taste. Not sure if it was the sauce, but didnt taste as good as before. The crust on both thin and Sicilian were saltier than expected. Not sure if it is the same owners or if they changed recipes. Oh well, gotta go and find me a new NYC style pizza again.
Always one of the best slices of pizza around.
Food is good but nothing to write home about. The store feels somewhat authentic New York but could be much more with some updates and more character. The staff acted tired and unconnected to the customers. With some store updates, more food variety, and staff morale training, they could could be 4-5 stars.
I asked them Whats good?. I was met with an empty expression and no response. After which the combo 4 advertised the pizza as 6.99 for two slices and a drink. Instead I payed 8.93$ for two slices because toppings were extra. (The 6.99 advertisement indicated a pepperoni and cheese slices were 6.99$. Just one pepperoni in the order adds .50$...)They got one extra star for cleanliness :)
Not even ratatouille could help this place
I was excited to go eat at Bellas for the first time but the wait really soured my visit. I placed my order at 345pm and I was told it would be 10 to 12 minutes. It was 410pm and my pizza was still not ready so I just left. I didnt care about the refund and I was on a schedule. I probably will not return. Someone enjoy a free pizza on me!
I called at 7:22pm, they close at 8pm. I ask to place a delivery, she in turn told me they are no longer delivering, I then responded by asking what the latest time is that I can call in the future, by which she exhaled as if annoyed.... and said it depends. If I’m the owner of this business- I would be pretty furious that my employees are quitting 45 minutes early and turning down money. Not to even mention the rudeness that’s rubbed off onto a potential customer.
The place seemed like it could use a good cleaning, but the food was pretty good. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful. I would come back here.
I love the New York-style pizza. They have a wonderful variety of breadsticks as well with your choice of cheese or marinara dipping sauce.
They were slammed, not enough help, got our order wrong, waited forever. Place needs some cleaning and decor. Food was good and they apologized and offered whatever I wanted. They offered bread sticks, we got 2 between the 3 of us. They did apologize. All is forgiven!
Always cant beat the pizza its the best
A very good pizza eats very well .... nice atmosphere and they speak to you in Spanish and English.
Service is the worst, and when you finally get the cold food, it is cheaply made, and we actually had to pay for it. NOT AGAIN
Every single time I go there, to pick up or eat, the food is delicious, fresh, hot, and tasty. The service is the best around really. Those men and women up there know my name and always encourage me to try new food.
Tasteless dough with tasteless sauce and toppings. Thankfully I had a 50% off your order code as I would have driven my delivery order back for a full refund. We live literally 3 minutes from the location and it arrived lukewarm. Chucky Cheese has better pizza .We will NEVER order from here again. Been in this area for 3 years now and still cannot find ANY place worthy of my $$ for pizza, those of you praising this place obviously have no clue what pizza is or how to make it.
I have been to Bella Pizzeria many times and feel they deserve the review. The pizza is always amazing and the stuffed pepperoni roll things are amazing too. The canolis (even though they are probably just frozen) are great too. Everything about Bella Pizzeria is amazing and everyone needs to try it.
Fabulous Pepperoni Bread Sticks!!! 😋
My favorite pizza and the best pizza ever! Authentic recipes. Their marinara is amazing.
Best pizza by the slice around!
Its a small hole in the wall place. Generally you will have to park in back and walk around. Not the cleanest place. Ambiance is a TV on the wall. If you order $15 worth of food, they will deliver. I doubt that Ill be back.
The garlic knots looked and tasted delicious. I also had a big slice of pepperoni mushroom on flat crust. Crust of pizzia is stone baked.
Weve ALWAYS loved Bella especially their breadsticks, but tonight we got an under done pizza that tasted HORRIBLE. It was also delivered with all the toppings stuck to the top of box. We called and asked to speak to a manager and after waiting for what seemed like forever, they came back and said your pizza was cooked twice. There is no way it could be undercooked. As if were just lying about an under cooked pizza. So my husband had to physically drive the pizza up to the store to prove it was undercooked. Which completely defeats the purpose of delivery. Upon arrival with the pizza they continue to say that it was cooked twice and asked what do you want me to do about it? We ended up getting our money back, but my goodness they have horrible horrible horrible customer service. For a pizza that isnt necessarily cheap they sure dont appreciate their customers. Good news is there are TONS of other pizza places in Carmel/Westfield that are just as delicious if not more delicious and very very friendly.
A lot of father and son time at Bellas. It will always have a special place in my heart. Food is great also!
My favorite pizza in Carmel! Expect BIG pieces that are delicious. Always come here for the best pizza.
Very tasty New York style pizza. My wife loved it. We will be back
Pizza was decent, but the customer service was average. We went early in the day and they didnt have half the things on the menu for sale.
GREAT pizza! Nice atmosphere. Awesome hostess!
Good pizza and friendly service. Free Wifi was hidden surprise that let me do some work during a quick lunch.
I had been looking for a Luca Pizza type of place up north for a while. Finally found one, this place offers NY style pizza by the slice! It is a very good place for lunch, I have yet to order a whole pizza from there, but wow, this brings everything you love about pizza places!
Lovee the pizza. Cool lil hs staff. Very helpful and on the ball
Amazing service an great food always a go to
When you go to Bellas in Clay Terrace there are two things you can expect great pizza and absolutely the worst service possible.Ive been going to be Bellas since it opened, and Im done giving this particular store my business. I order a pizza breadsticks salad and usually a calzone when I go to the store. Usually one of those things is made wrong.Tonight they made a panzerotti which was undercooked. I specifically asked the manager to just place it in the oven for me to cook it some more. No big deal. I see the manager open the oven, act like shes putting it in, and then place the panzerotti in the microwave. Why am I paying to have someone microwave my food? Ordered a pizza in the same order. Guess what happened to the pizza. They put it on top of the oven until I came and asked where it might be 40 minutes later.Dont eat at this particular location, but go to the one off Keystone as they will at least get your order right and treat you like a human.
Pizza here is decent. Pizza tonight took some extra effort to get right. After ordering they said they would bring to table, it got busy and 5 mins later I made it to the counter and asked if we could get our pizza slices out of the warmer. They seemed liked they had forgotten the pizza was in there. When they came out they were very crusty. So hot could not eat for several more minutes waiting for it to cool off. Didnt bother trying to get replacement pizza slices. To many people in line.
Very good pizza. Not greesey as others.
Stopped here for lunch. Great atmosphere, fast service, delicious food. Definitely recommended.
Good Experience here - pizza was good, ready on time, and staff was friendly. Well done!
I ordered my first pizza from this place last week and it didnt meet my expectations. The sauce was fantastic, but the dough was super chewy. Not sure this is normal for them or not, but it was a major turn off.
Just like the New York style pizza I grew up on
Always have great food and service here! A family favorite.
I was thinking about visiting this place. But after reading reviews, I am not going there anymore.
Food was mediocre today. I usually order a Calzone, but went with a slice of pizza this time. Half the slice was soft and floppy, while the rest seemed a little stale.
Drive from Kokomo. Online hours says open at 11. Got to the door. Locked. Sign on door says opens at 11. Workers ignored us. Luckily pints and pies was next door.
Wasnt impressed with the pizza. The service was good and employees were friendly.
Close as you can get to New York Pizza in Indiana. Great Pie! Thats pizza for you Hoosiers.
The food was ok i ordered a bake zitti with a side of HAIR! I didnt say anything or made a big deal out of it. But right in the middle of me eating it my stomach hurts and i got home with a diarrhea. The place is ok just not clean the tables are dirty. And the spanish woman is kind of rude, she told me where the utensils are when so when i went and get some theres none in there so i said excuse me and she replied WHAT?! With a high annoyance tone. So the other girl was nice enough to put new utensils. Theres 3 people there and the customer is only me and one couple so the are not busy at all. I dont know why shes rude to me, she was smilling when i got there and then she asked me habla espanyol? I said oh no sorry. She probably think i can she probably think im same as her race i guess spanish i think but im not im from the Philippines so we dont speak spanish. But i notice after that she was rude. But anyway its ok i didnt say anything. But we r pretty sure wont be coming back again.
As a native New Yorker, I can say that Bella Pizzeria IS in fact, my favorite pizza place in all of Indiana! Super great people, and the food is fantastic! Just like back home!!
Got a stromboli, spinach roll, and panzerotti, to go. Everything heated up very tasty.
Always friendly staff, good food!
We just moved here from Bloomington about 2 months ago. We have tried many pizza places here in the Carmel area... We found the best place! Perfect pizza and amazing pepperoni breadsticks!!
I dont live in Carmel anymore (but used to) and if I ever make my way back to Carmel, I always make a stop here. Been going here since I was younger and is still great pizza
Cute little place with quick service. The breadsticks and pepperoni breadsticks are awesome. We had pizza and calzones. Delicious!
Pizzas good and the area is nice
Ordered on the phone, drove to the location, paid, waited....and waited. They finished the pizza, set it on the shelf and we finally had to ask if our pizza was ready. Dont know how long it had been sitting there. Poor service
Great pizza 🍕 New York style 👌🏽
Food took forever, gave us warm coke.
Excelent pizza!
I love the pizzas and the breadsticks 🙂
My husband works there.. Best oizza ever
The food is good but the employees don’t use gloves when touching the food, It’s completely unsanitary. 🤷🏽♂️
Amazing food and great service!!!
Reasonable love that it sells by the slice
Staff was friendly. Good food.
Great bread sticks great pizza great service.... what more can you ask for.
Its like something youd find in a mall food court...
I like it, kinda expensive but theres not many new york pizzas places around
Loved the creative pizza options here
If you want to spend a full day puking your guts out to the point where there’s nothing left inside of you, eat at this location.
Pretty good pizza
10 out of 10 outstanding
Its good pizza.
