This is a great store. It is well stocked. The store help was helpful and friendly. They had a good selection and competitive prices. I will shop this store in the future.

I placed an order via doordash. Not a big order. The order arrived. I noticed the expiration date on the hot dogs. They had expired two weeks before. So be very careful with what you order. As for me, no more smart % final.

The store was clean. Very helpful and friendly staff who went above and beyond. Checkout wasnt bad either especially compared to other stores in the area. Lysol seems very overpriced but no real complaints.

Had an over all good experience! Found alot of what I was looking for. The only thing was when you went in it didnt smell the greatest. Not sure why either.

Stopped in to grab some groceries for my mom. I was impressed by their attention to detail at the registers. Each lane is adorably decorated with a local street sign and street lamp. Even during a pandemic, the store retains an inviting and friendly atmosphere.

Is a store that I visit when I want to buy in bulk or for good deals. Very nice people working and always willing to help you if you need help locating an item.

I was there last week to buy the eggs on sale with their coupon. I spent the required $25 in order to get the eggs at .99. I forgot the coupon. I had to put the eggs back my mistake. I told them Id be back tomorrow to get the eggs with the coupon. I came back with the coupon the next day. They said I had to spend another $25. I PUT THE EGGS BACK. AGAIN THIS WEEK COUPON FOR EGGS WERE ON SALE AGAIN I HAD TO PIT THE EGGS BACK I DIDNT SPEND THE $25. I GIVE UP. KEEP YOUR STINKEN COUPON

I called almost all grocers in Carmichael and this store is the only one requiring everyone to wear masks. I am so pleased! I feel safer that this store takes the covid crisis seriously! It makes me feel more confident in my shopping-especially being a senior citizen.This store DOES take EBT cards by the way. I hope everyone knows this. No shame.Great fresh produce.

Slow service, people seem not to know much that work there. Pricing on shelfs deceiving due to price of item being on the wrong shelf. Need to read small print on description to make sure what item is what price. WASTE OF TIME. GET IT STRAIGHT SMART AND FINAL!!!

I went to the store today and the person in front of me was going to pay with EBT her food. The cashier rudely told her we dont take EBT only cash or credit cardd. The person had to leave all her food because she obviously did not have a credit card. She only paid some spaghetti and souce for her children. I dont believe that in these hard situation people have to feel the are worthless because they cant afford to pay with credit cards.

I used to go to Safeway all the time, but Smart & Final beats Safeway for sure! Great prices, helpful staff, and fresh food. Also, very cute little decorations inside (for example, a Carmichael street name for each cash register lane). Love it!

The register went down ringing up the customer in front of me. They were quick to move all my stuff to the next register and ring me up without delay. Only four stars because with all the camotion I forgot the ice I needed.

Im so glad this store opened up here. Its always clean and the lines move fast. The employees are helpful and friendly also. Its really convenient having this store so close to home. Its like Safeway but with options for bulk item including party, catering and restaurant supplies.

Great employees. Not good for Desserts if you need to grab one quick. Poor selection.

The store is nice so as people who work there but the management does not care about neighborhood community.There are homeless population, trailers and unauthorized vehicles camping and parked everywhere on the parking lot. Trash being dumped there on daily basis and maybe removed in a week or so. Homeless people sleep right by the entrance and walk in front of the store in their underwear. They walk their dogs unleashed and dont pick up after them. Its a nightmare there! As far as Im concerned i dont want to shop there anymore. I will go to Safeway or Belair where they have security guards!

Ive been shopping here since it opened. Great location and hours. Employees are very friendly and helpful. If they run out of their weekly specials, rain checks are quick and painless.

This is the main grocer we shop at. The lines do get long sometimes when they really shouldn’t but we’ve been shopping here for over a year now and it’s never changed, probably won’t. Biggest gripe is CHECK YOUR CHEESE. Several times we’ve bought cheese that’s marked as expired sometimes by several months! Employees are nice enough, they’ve improved over the year we’ve shopped here except one women but we rarely see her.

I like this store a lot! They have most everything that I need. Their prices are pretty good. A little high on some things, very low on some other things. All in all a good experience, with one or two exceptions. The biggest Improvement I would make is more employees at the registers. I understand the need to cater to the small business customer, but when a cashier has to run and get something that the customer didnt feel like grabbing, or a customer walks away from the register while hes being rung up because he needs to get one more item, it takes away from the experience for everybody waiting in line behind that business customer and should not be tolerated!

Cheap! Good staples at nice prices. Sometimes the lines are a little long, but its worth the wait. $6.50 rotisserie chicken is a great deal!

They are very helpful its clean and the staff remembers you and your family. Sometimes there is a little wait but thats getting better and its worth it.

An employee scared me really bad after I bought my items. I cried all day when I got home. Will never shop here again.

Regular shopper, prices are great, stores usually clean and well stocked (on rare occasion a bulk/coupon deal will leave select items cleared out)

They never have enough checkers. Long, long lines and theres 1 checker. I always have gave to ask for another checker. Not uncommon to have 7 or 8 people in a line. I have stopped going there much for that reason. Ive actually walked out when I see the lines at 5 pm and 1 or 2 checkers. Poorly managed store.

This location has way more than the one on Watt and its SHARP. I liked this one. The guys in produce are legit.

I just have to say, after about my 4th time shopping this store, I am absolutely loving it! This store has that Costco feel, without the Costco membership card, its real nice, no coupons, no club cards, no membership cards, all thats required is just bring yourself into the store and see the sticker price savings. The selection of foods is just as good as a Safeway or Bel Air Market, if not better. This store does just about beat every other grocery store in my area on one thing.....bulk!

U can find all grocery need, some times they have stuff that other stores dont have, i love their roasted chicken 🐔, good selection of drinks, and for the restaurant owner they can find bulk grocery like 📦 of tomatoes sacks of onions.The only think i dont like is the WAIT!! on the line to pay.

This store has been remodeled looks fantastic very clean & lots of merchandise.

I shop at the Smart & Final Extra on Manzanita and Engel their produce department is awesome great quality great prices, they have all the basic in store items and the best roasted chickens anywhere ! Prices are much lower than competitors down the street selections are somewhat limited but good. I dont have a lot of experience with purchasing from their meat department have only tried a few things but they were good also.

Pleasant staff was helpful even an employee going off duty and purchasing some items herself stopped to move a barrier in my way So I may get trough with the shopping scooter. Question why is their so much clutter in the paper products aisle.

I go here when I cannot deal with the big crowded grocery stores. They are a little more expensive than WinCo, but it is not as crazy. Their produce section is much better too.

It always feels dirty and disorganized here for some reason. Theres always these big stock carts blocking the isles, and product littering the floors. Produce is hard to navigate, dairy feels like a cave shoved off in a corner, the drink isle is always out of some soda or another, and it never seems to matter what time I come in here. It feels as though there is no real management here to guide a bunch of teens and twenty-somethings through a routine that is desparately needed. Isles are narrow and cramped, lines are long, prices are questionable, and help is never available. I hope this is just temporary for the summer...

I actually like this store and their prices and bulk options and decent quality organic meat, however I refuse (#1stworldproblems) to give the more than 1 star until their management gets off their lazy !@#$%^ and actually schedules the appropriate number of cashiers after 4 WHEN EVERYONE IS COMING HOME FROM WORK AND GRABBING NECESSITIES ON THE WAY HOME ALONG ONE OF THE BUSIEST STREETS IN CARMICHAEL!!Ok yes, I am overreacting, but by God as long as there is at least ONE unemployed person in the area who is of sound mind and physical form, YOU CAN HIRE/SCHEDULE ONE MORE DAMN CASHIER!! Its business 101, STAFF EFFICIENTLY TO MAXIMIZE BUSINESS!!-grumble grumble-ps. The attached photo does not include the 7 additional customers in disarray behind me cause there is no longer room in the aisle for people to line up correctly...

My experience here was so bad,some of the people here are not nice, they disrespect you, the management is bad, they do a lots of mistake, you should always double check your receipt when you shop at this location, even when they do mistake they dont apologise, they dont know anything about customer service. They are not friendly at all, I talked to the manager about their mistake and i showed her my receipt, and she act like it was my mistake.

I dont really open my mouth too much, but the manager saw a man with food in his personal bag, I understand you can look threw the bag If suspicious but when you just start going threw someones personal belongings with out permission, and wonder why he got mad, ask him before touching his things and the manager had the Audacity to post up like you were going to fight this OLDMAN. LEARN SOME RESPECT YOUR LIKE 63 250 and the old man was like 53 and at least 65-70 year old Veteran. Smart&Final Time for a new manager and new employees since the older asian lady (cashier) was also being rude New Employees. They make it depressing to shop here!

There is a Woman named Sheila that claims to be a Manager at the Carmichael Store on Fair Oaks Blvd and Engel Road that likes to steal merchandise from Shoppers that buy things and mistakingly leave them there after The Shopper buys them and Shiela says that You and Your Son took the merchandise with You after You paid for the Merchandise and Checked out at the Register. My Son and I took the Food and Merchandise with Us but accidently left a Baking sheet there by mistake but went back to get it and Shiela said that You took the Baking sheet with You when You left but We did not take it with Us when We left the Carmichael Smart & Final. We immediately went back to the Smart and Final with the Original receipt and showed it to Shiela but she wouldnt let Us have another baking sheet and She, Shiela had the Baking sheet put back so that another Shopper could buy it and that is why I, Robert Clary say that Shiela from the Carmichael Smart and Finsl2 stole Merchandise and Money from me and wouldnt give me either the Merchandise or the Money in return. Thank You. Robert Clary.
