Very friendly staff/owners. I’m used to other “specialized” store fronts treating me like an inconvenience when I’m not an “in the know” consumer.Twyla (sorry if I misspelled her name) and Steven Smith or (Stephen) I’m so bad with names sometimes, anyhoo they were both friendly and informative, can’t wait to bring in family and take advantage of their amazing Instapot wonders!
Different kind of dried beans and Ive seen in other stores and a very friendly staff
Excellent selection of delicious, wholesome food. Great cooking classes. A genuine and kind purveyor. A local culinary gem!
The Chili here is ok, considering they use exotic beans. But I think what the Owner charges for cooked food is Ridiculous. $12 for a Chili Dog ONLY is Extremely over priced. No chips, no drink included. And $10 for a hot dog Only; no chili. At first I thought the price was high due to the business suffering during the Pandemic. But after listening to side bar conversations with the owner and other customers, it was clear that he wasnt financially suffering during the Pandemic at all. Of course this was AFTER I paid $12 for a Chili Dog. I Recommend buying your own uncooked beans and making your own chili. Chili Con Carne tastes MUCH better than Chili Smith. So does Dennisons.
They sell the freshest beans and rice sure they maybe little expensive but very well worth every cent. Love there products.
This is a wonderful place to eat or shop fTo make your dinner a 10. I cant say enough about the owner, Steve and the staff; friendly and very helpful.Amazing stop and it feels good to support a local business.
To be fair, I havent been to the shop yet. I saw them at the Vegan Food Fest today. Their beans were amazing! They made a carrot dog with the best vegan chili ever! And the people at their booth were even more amazing. Friendly & knowledgeable with lots of great tips. I hot some heirloom beans & spice mis I cant wait to try. Ill be stopping by the shop soon, as I need some of their oils & vinaigrettes.
I need to eat more beans and Steve at Chili Smith, showed me how delightfully flavorful his beans are. They are not like any bean Ive had before...and so many different varieties. Beans are a secret to living longer so go see Steves offerings. While you are there, be sure to try the Outlaw Dawg..an unexpected yet healthy treat.
This is a great little shop. They have an excellent selection of dried heirloom beans and local organic rices. The people are friendly. They teach classes, too. Im looking forward to talking one.
Great place to get chili packet for you pressure pot.
A wonderful place. Very unique store full of healthy and organic products. Very knowledgeable owner and staff.
If you want beans this is the place to go, unfortunately I cant remember the gentlemans name I think it was Charlie or Charles but he was awesome, great guy and very knowledgeable
Very nice owner. Great selection of locally grown beans. Really delicious prepared chili too.
Best place to buy organic, non- GMO and heirloom beans not found in grocery stores! There are lots of beans to chose from, as well as, pastas, bean flours, pre-made chilis and humus. They give a big discount when you buy 6 or more packages of beans. Worth the visit!
Excellent selection, wonderful staff, amazing service overall!
Chili Smiths is a great store with a great owner!!
