Took my Legacy to Micheal Hohl for service. Arvin from Micheal Hohl soon contacted me to tell me my transmission was ruined and I was about 700 miles past the warranty. He put me in contact with Subaru of America and then worked with them to get me help. Both Arvin and Paul the representative from Subaru of America could not have treated me any better through the process. Arvin followed up with me and I NEVER had to follow up with him he took the initiative to keep me informed every step. I am still speechless, I think the last time I was treated so well by a company Jimmy Carter was President. Cant say thank you enough.

My Subaru got a nail in a tire while I was traveling last month and the Hohl dealership fit me into their busy schedule and special ordered a tire for me so that I could use the tire/wheel warranty I had to replace the tire. Their last minute help was much appreciated.

On Sunday we purchased another vehicle from Michael Hohl Subaru. This is the 6th vehicle weve bought for ourselves or a family member. Its a 2 hour drive for us, but it has always been worth it. Both Kevin and Dom in Sales are great people to work with. They are professional and helpful. Michael Hohl has always had exactly the vehicle we were looking for, at the best price we can find. Each car-buying experience has been positive, with none of the usual back-and-forth game. Because we live so far away, we have not had much experience with the service department. But the next time were shopping for a vehicle, well definitely come back.

My service experience has been outstanding. Most recently I returned to have a trailer hitch installed and my service representative was once again friendly and very professional. 1. Long story about horrible service at Reno Lithia Subaru led me Michael Hohl in Carson.2. I cant believe MH service even honored my contract with Lithia but not did they, they were OUTSTANDING in every aspect & surpassed Lithia in efficiency in many ways.3.MH also had a much better selection of new and used vehicles. So while waiting for my recall repair to be completed I was window shopping. After seeing several upgraded models I inquired about trade-in options thinking it would be something to look at in the future. BUT MH made it easy and offered me a deal I couldnt pass up. So BOOM! I left my recall car and drove off in a new one!4. From sales to service & everything in between Michael Hohl dealerships are top notch and I HIGHLY recommend them!

This last time involved warranties and what not, my tire having been damaged. They did everything to make sure I was taken care of. Their customer service is impeccable and amazing. Brought our 2018 Forester in for the 30,000 mile service..they did an excellent job, and they are actually cheaper for a regular oil change then all the jiffy, m bspiffy places that cross thread your oil plugs. Simple basic oil change was over $100. Shop manager explained to me that they had to charge a overhead shop fee. Requested to have my tires rotated I marked them myself. When returned to me I noticed my marks were in the same position they didn’t even do the rotation I asked.

I bought my Subaru From Gold Rush Subaru in Auburn Ca. while living in Grass Valley Ca. After driving the car for a few weeks we took a trip to the Bay Area . On the Sunol Grade a rock flew up and cracked my windshield .I took the car to Safelite for a new windshield . They replaced it but were unable to recalibrate the Eye Sight System ( self steering / cruise control)Gold Rush replaced the stereo cameras and tried to recalibrate the system. Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful . JD / service manager at Gold Rush did all he could to fix it but being a smaller dealership they were limited on the amount of repair equipment available. We then moved to Gardnerville NV . JD called Steve Dix at Hohl Subaru Carson City, these guys tag teamed it ! I was thinking this may never be repaired, you know they would squirm out pointing fingers ... Nope, not the case . Steve Dix assigned Keith Sarao to the case . Keith pursued this problem like a pitbull . He had his team trouble shoot the problem and ordered a new control module for the Eye Sight System . After several attempts they were successful. I give all credit to Keith for persevering thru this problem, giving me a loaner when needed, going beyond my expectations ! You guys have renewed my faith, doing what you say, working till it was completely solved. Im proud to be a member of the Subaru Family!

By name I want Keith to be recognized for the AMAZING customer service he has provided me the last 2 visits! A simple oil change turned out to be a leak in my oil cover which was causing my need for an oil change sooner than what it should’ve been due for. Not only did he get me a loaner car but he also made sure I wasn’t charged for the service.Then today I planned my day around the loaner car I was promised for an alignment I was dropping my vehicle off for. When I showed up, Keith told me they unfortunatel didn’t have a loaner to provide me but, Superman to the rescue….not only was I in and out in less than an hour but again, no charge to me for the “promise” they couldn’t come thru on. Excellent, friendly service. Service and supply are difficult now. My usual go-to is Subaru in Reno, but the wait for an appointment was long so I called MH Subaru. There was still a wait, but not as long. The other benefit is the use of a loaner car. Though I was told my service might not happen till the next day, they were done at end of day. The fix was obscure and I felt like only a great mechanic would have caught it.MH Subaru will now be my go-to for Subaru repairs.EVERY person I dealt with was excellent at their job.

Went in for 20k service and requested car wash. The advisor said he would take care of it. Received phone call advising vehicle was ready. I asked adviser if car wash had been done, he forgot. I went to the bank to give them time to wash. When I got to the dealership I was advised car not ready yet. I walked around for 20 minutes and still didnt see car. I asked the adviser to see if the car had been washed and if not just bring it up to the front for me to leave. He brought me up a still dirty car without apology or concern that he promised a service he didnt deliver on...

Celso Marquez was, as usual, fabulous. He detected a problem and I was able to arrange to get it fixed that day !!!! The warranty would have expired if he had not recognized the issue.A very big deal for me as I leave about 200 miles away. It would have been difficult to get the car back in time.Kudos to Celso, Arvin, Homi and all the associates at Michael Hohl .I love my Subarus and will only buy a vehicle at this dealership. I purchased a 2018 WRX 2 months ago. Great car, I absolutely love it. Unfortunately the clutch was absolutely warn to the bone, clutch failed after 2 months and to get that replaced? $2000 THANKS GUYS! Car only had 28,000 miles and clutches last twice that mileage, how was I to know? And no that is not covered under warranty. So be careful, I understand car retail isnt the easiest way to make money but they definitely did take advantage of me Im not the most knowledgeable consumer.

I bought my 2011 Forester to Michael Hohl Subaru for the Takata Airbag recall. This was the second time they worked on it and I have to say, both times, they made it extremely easy for me to have my car worked on. This repair took 3 1/2 hours, which they told me in advance and they gave me a loaner so I didnt have to sit in the waiting room. When I returned the loaner, they just handed me my keys and receipt and took the loaner car fob from me and that was that. All very easy. Thank you.

Christine & everyone in the Service Department were all awesome, friendly, nice & very helpful.Christine even offered a shuttle to Applebees so that we could eat while waiting for the car to be serviced.Christine mentioned it would be an hour or so & it turned out to be barely 40 minutes.When we got back (I forgot his name) but the gentleman in the 1st desk next to the office went over everything & said my Crosstrek was in excellent condition with no problems on the tire rotation & oil change.Thank you also to the man doing the servicing for helping me find my car, as I was walking all over the parking lot looking for it, getting lost, when it was practically right in front of me, he showed me how to find it with the panic button (boy did I feel embarrassed), Lol.Also both Buddy & Barry (shuttle drivers) were really friendly, funny & nice.I bought my Crosstrek in Las Vegas, NV but we relocated up to Minden & love it.I look forward to bringing them all cookies every couple of months (as I did in Las Vegas for 4 years) to show my appreciation & also bringing the car back in for servicing as needed.Thank you all at Michael Hohl Subaru, youre all as nice & kind as they were in Las Vegas, NV & I WILL BE referring everyone to Michael Hohl Subaru if they are looking for a new car!!!

I purchased my Outback a little over a year ago. Kevin was my salesperson and we had a good experience with him. When I brought it in to get my added things put on I had a pretty bad experience with the service department. When I brought it in for its first oil change the service was better. I recently brought it in for another oil change and software update and my experience was excellent!! Since it was going to take 3 hours I was given a loaner to drive around and do some errands. Have to say it has gotten better with time.

Completely shocked! I know dealerships were known for shady service and also known as stealerships but i thought those days were over.I made an appointment to get my airbags serviced as there was a recall. I also asked if they could look at the headlight as there is a design flaw. I had previously changed the bulb and checked the fuse before i came in. I dropped the vehicle off and after about an hour, the service department informed me that i needed rear brakes and rotors due to minimal rust and wear and tear. The job was $500. I declined.I was charged for a new bulb and installation. I later dropped the car off to my Subaru mechanic and asked if he could look at the brakes and rotors. My mechanic saw that the brakes were at 80% in tact and the rotors were perfect. The minimal rust was due to the 10 months in storage(San Diego CA) as my son was deployed to the Persian Gulf. The rust was due to his base being so close to the ocean.My mechanic also stated the bulb was the bulb i purchased at Napa Auto Parts.I really enjoyed the process at Michael Subaru as it was easy and the staff was nice. It really disgusted me that i was taken advantage of and that Michael Subaru was trying to make me replace brakes and rotors that were in terrific condition. The headlight bulb was also disappointing along with the $50 installation and $30 replacement fake bulb.I will never recommended, purchase or service any of my vehicles again. So much for having trust in dealerships. I hope Mr Dix will read this as I was asked to leave a review by his automated text i just received.

I was living in reno when I bought my first subaru private party. I asked some of my friends where I should go to get it serviced and I heard some concerning things about the place the previous owner had the vehicle serviced at in reno. I called up a friend of mine who works at the Carson City subaru dealership and asked his opinion. I ended up bringing my car all the way to Carson and was so glad I did! Everyone there is extremely nice and helpful! Very clear communication on their part and there was a point we had the whole parts and service department laughing with us! Will definitely be a repeat customer!

Let me just start by saying that I usually take my cars to a private mechanic but ever since my experiences with the Subaru service guys, I won’t be going back to my private guy. I will ALWAYS take my two Subs to Michael Hohl because of their professionalism, thoughtfulness, and attention to my needs as a customer. Keith and Arvin in Subaru service have always provided me with excellent care and remarkable customer service. I can’t say enough good things about the team there!!! They make you feel like family.
