We have used Nelson for over 5 yrs.we have had custom window valance/treatments, along with a custom pad for our bay window . Nelson creates excellent custom upholstery work and exactly what your request is. We recently had our new couch pillow covers repaired by them and we wont go elsewhere. I have a recliner that is over 20 years old. It is a mission style with wood on the arms.Ten years ago, I had Nelson replace the foam in the seat cushion. It was now time to replace the Upholstery and have the entire chair refinished and totally refreshed.Nelson gave me his price, and while I initially debated going ahead with the project, I checked on the price of a new chair. I went back and talked more to Nelson, and he explained how the chair would be totally taken apart and all of the wood redone, with new webbing in the back of the chair and new cushions on the seat and back; along with the new fabric. It would be like getting an entire new chair, for 50% less.My wife went over and picked up fabric books from Nelsons Studio, she brought them home and we selected the fabric. Nelson, kept us informed on when he would be able to start the project. When he was nearing the completion of the project, he had me come over to his Studio and check to see if I liked the firmness of the cushions before he continued with completing the chair.Nelsons work is amazing, he is a true craftsman who enjoys his work and making sure that it is done perfectly. Along with his attention to detail, he wants to make sure that the customer is satisfied.When you first walk into his Studio, you will notice how clean and well organized it is. Its not like he is working out of his garage or basement, his place of business is setup for building custom furniture and reupholstery. Nelson Upholstery did an AMAZING job restoring my grandparents old living room chairs. He took a beautiful solid wood frame, removed the 1960s orange striped fabric, and turned them into updated, classic pieces of furniture that will continue to stand the test of time. I had purchased a used dining set, and the eight chairs needed to be reupholstered and cleaned up a bit. I chose my fabric at Nelson’s shop, and he came to my house to pick up and drop off the chairs. I’m beyond pleased with the results of Nelson’s work. He rebuilt all the chair pads with new foam and support mesh in addition to reupholstering them, so not only are they beautiful, but they are also much more comfortable than they were before. An added bonus was that the work was finished in less than two weeks! Nelson was friendly and professional—a pleasure to do business with. Highly recommended!

We found Nelson Upholstery online and set up an appointment to discuss our project. From the very start we liked Nelson. He was patient, not pushy at all. He gave us whatever time we needed to pick our fabrics from his very large selection of samples. He encouraged us to take the samples home to see what we liked based on our lighting and colors in our home. Which we were really happy about because it completely changed what our original plan was.His workmanship is true artistry. He is a master at his craft. He reupholstered our entire living room and we could not be happier. We already have plans for another project with him in our dining room. His prices were definitely competitive. You will NOT be disappointed if you choose Nelson Upholstery !!!
