Olive Tree Market is great for when you need freshly cut meat and a great selection of herbs and spices. The prices are great, and they always have what I need. Just got some tomahawk Ribeyes, and the final product was amazing. If you need sauces, seasoning, and great service you wont be disappointed. I highly recommend Olive Tree Market.

We are Italian and have to hunt for many authentic products. Today we stopped in to see what type of olive selection was carried and were very happy to find that they had an excellent variety. We not only left with two large jars of olives but also purchased some fresh goat meat and a jar of grilled eggplant. We will return and highly recommend this market. Very friendly staff/owner.

The best meat cuts. No bad smells in the entire place and the meat if fresh. They will cut the meat or chicken the way you want it and you can even call ahead with an order to pick up. Extremely friendly service and have meats and other stuff that other markets don’t have

Had a very odd experience with this shop, I called about the pricing on lamb chops and was told “I don’t know” …very rude and short with me for no reason, not helpful at all and honestly I don’t feel I’d even be welcome inside after going inside the business I was treated the same way let’s just say if you aren’t middle eastern or white the younger gentlemen there will be rude to u in person or on the phone, 0/10 if you’re black don’t shop here

This shop is very good. Has a nice selection of items. Very nice employees. The meat is fresh and tasty. We purchased a few cows for an udhiyah program. Brother Fadi gave us a very good price. He was very helpful in prepping the meat. He let us store the meat in the store while we distributed it. You could see them as they procecessed the meat and were clean. It was an excellent expierence and would recommend this place for everyone.

I wanted to pick up jameed to make mansaf, and I went to 3 other stores before I finally found Olive Tree. Everywhere else I went, they looked at me like I was crazy when I asked for jameed. At Olive Tree, the young man new exactly what I was looking for, and when I told him I appreciated him not looking at me like a weirdo (as the others had) he said, “Of course, I’m Jordanian.” Being Jordanian myself, I felt that simple statement, and it made an already excellent store with great selection instantly my go to for all future mediterranean food items.

This is a wonderful Mediterranean Store and butcher shop. Their meat selection is outstanding. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Huge fan of their lamb sausage, made in-house. Wonderful olive oil selection. This is a great addition to my Whole Food shopping. Oh...almost forgot about their fresh bread. It is outstanding.

We shop at the Olive Tree at least one a week, often more. They are the best butchers in town. Their meats arrive fresh several times/week. They have goat, too, which can be hard to find in Cary. The people who work there are super nice. They sell lots of different types of Mediterranean foods, including an olive bar. My favorites are the olive oil, pickled lemons and the chocolate.

As a foreigner its very hard to find merchandise from overseas let alone what I want. But at olive tree market I ALWAYS find what I need and want. Their meat dept is extremely clean and always fresh. I always find something new and exciting on their shelves and the prices are great. Always worth the weekly trip. I love it!!! Youll never be disappointed at Olive Tree Market. From merchandise to staff its an A plus for me!!!

They simply need to learn how to run such a business, especially during season time (Ramadan). I picked up my stuff and waited more than 20min for the cashier to show up at register, he was working on the back room then talking and laughing with other customers, already asked him to help us, he saw the line about 4 people waiting to check out, but he simply ignored us, so I decided to drop my basket and leave. They really need to respect their loyal customers, and hire more people during the season. I don’t know how they expect a single cashier to run the entire place while serving demand on meat and other things. In addition, there was no price tag on whatsoever I picked. As a customers, I just went to another place and got my grocery, but they just lost my interest to come again because they just don’t care about their business, or at least don’t know how to manage it.

After this being the only place Id go to for my shopping when Im the Raleigh area, I noticed that the customer service has gotten to be less than satisfactory. Maybe the guy was having a bad day I dont know, he was very rude the last time I dropped by. For that reason I have decided to change my review rating and look for another middle eastern market. Its a shame because I really did enjoy the prices at this store just wish the service would be better.

I am sure Olive Tree use to be a good establishment at one point. Now its just like a market with bland shelves, poor customer service and mediocre meat. I purchased few times, especially the halal meat. The biggest disappointment was chicken breast which had striation which is indicative of chickens having muscular disorder. When I inquired about freshness of meat, the owner (short one) said have you had meat from here before? To which I responded yes He followed by saying, Did it taste fine?I am sorry but even Purdue and Tyson taste fine but that doesnt mean its good, clean, organic, hormone free, etc. They have a sign posted which says their chickens are humanly raised and hormone free. Dont advertise things if you cant stand by them.

I have gone to this store more than 10+ times now to buy meat (always chicken). The first time I got a whole chicken cut, I washed it at home and it turned out great. The second time, I dont know why I decided to get the chicken which had the BBQ spices on it. I was so excited to make it because it meant I didnt have to clean for another hour. Holy molly it was horrible. My husband washed the chicken AGAIN (after it had been cooked) and re-made it. In other words the stuff which is pre-marinated is not good. Its generally older chicken they are trying to sell. However I dont think there is anything wrong on that but at least the meat should be properly washed prior to being seasoned.Moving on, the next few times I got the chicken everything was good, so check mark there. The second to last time, I got chicken, it had been frozen. I could tell when I was washing it. It was frozen solid on the inside. My problem was actually the last time I went. My husband and I like the Midamar frozen chicken patties. Olive Tree just happens to carry these. They are between $7 for a pack of 6 so they are on the pricier side but overall really good and easy to make. They hadnt gotten these in stock for a few days so one of the managers told me he could make me fresh chicken patties in the back for about the same price. I need to mention that I only wanted comparable chicken patties because DUH thats why I went there. It should also be noted that this is CARY, there are like 10 other grocery stores nearby who happen to carry frozen halal food. We are not in a state of crisis for chicken patties. So if this store couldnt produce similar chicken patties, I honestly would not have cared.Anyway moving on, I wasnt shown what these patties looked like and was told I needed to buy at least two pounds. So finally at the end when I saw the patties they just look like squished pieces of chicken with spices and there were 4 patties total for a whopping $12.48. Are you freaking kidding me? Why on earth would I or anyone pay $3.12 for an uncooked kebab patty which they will have to go home and make for themselves and spend an hour preparing? Lets put this in perspective, the delicious already made koobadeh kebab at Flame Kebab is $4. If I wanted to pay so much for food, I would just get take-out at: Jasmin, Flame Kebab, Kababish, Bosphorous, Greek Fiesta, mashaAllah the list goes on and on.I am so embarrassed to say that I actually walked out of the store without paying. May Allah forgive me as I have never done that in my entire life but I just could not convince my brain to pay so much for an uncooked patty which didnt look anything like what I wanted. The manager did try to convince me that they are really good kebabs...which I am sure they are, but one should be fair with their pricing. To be honest, if this item was as good as advertised, I am sure people would be lined up to get the patties so that they could take them home and spend 40 minutes making them, followed by 20 mins of cleaning their kitchen. Just saying.I would only go to this store because it is one mile distance from my house. As mentioned earlier the meat was good on some days and on other days, not so much. There are several other halal meat stores in the area which I would recommend over this. I am truly sad about writing this review because I thought I had found my go to Halal place!
