I cant reiterate this enough, I absolutely love coming to milk lab and being able to interact with the wonderful customer service. Theyre always so groovy and so helpful. Every time I come here and try different drinks, they are always so tasty along with the great atmosphere they provide. I have been coming here for years and still make it a point to come back here now that Im in the military. I enjoy coming here with my friends and family because its just always a great experience. This review was long overdue but being on leave and experiencing it after not being able to for many many months while on deployment, I really had to put it out there to show some gratitude. 110 % recommend!!

Milk Lab was very popular! There was about a 20 minute wait which was okay - we browsed around the bookstore in the same shopping center. The ice cream was delicious - I got the banana with Nutella! I had never had rolled ice cream before, and it was surprisingly creamy! It is rather expensive compared to other ice cream shops in the area.

Milk Lab never disappoints! From its amazing options to really cool aesthetic, warm and bubbly staff (pun intended) and delicious boba, I always get excited when I realize I am close by enough to swing in for a bubble tea! Their rolled ice cream is so good as well! Love the curbside pickup options and the online ordering!

Their teas are SO good. Like, wow. Ive tried their key lime pie ice cream and it literally tasted like vanilla ice cream but you cant go wrong w their teas. Boba tastes fresh always. Keep in mind, theres typically a line/wait to get your stuff because this place is always busy, so make sure you go at an off time. When we went the first time, there was a 25 minute wait for ice cream. One of the other times we went, there was a 20 minute wait for drinks. Thats the only reason Im giving this place 4 stars- they need a bigger store/more employees because I feel 20 minutes for a drink is a bit long! However, as I said, the drinks are pretty worth it.

I really love this place! My daughter wanted to try boba, and we started going this summer. We have tried several of the teas and enjoy them a lot. (Thai green tea milk cap is my favorite.) Service is always good.

I understand why Milklab wants Customers to wait outside during pandemic but they can do better than this. It was very hard to know when my drinks are ready or not. They didn’t call the names or order numbers. They put drinks on the table inside so the customer had to pay attention while waiting. Brown sugar milk tea was alright but who put the bubble tea inside of a non-transparent cup? It was impossible to tell the brown sugar was mixed or not. Shame.

I had the brown sugar Boba rolled ice cream. So very delicious.Very unique flavors. I highly recommend this shop. Every thing Ive ordered has been delicious! Its a must try establishment.

This is one of my new favourite haunts. Im a creature of habit so Ive returned to their lychee rolled ice cream several times now, but Ive explored - often with the help of one of the employees - many different menu items and combos. The prices for the quality of food cannot be beat and the flavour combinations are exquisite.

Really enjoyed our experience here. We tried one of the ice cream drinks and three other different drinks...and the three of us agreed...we were happy with every aspect of the experience and well be back! (Side note I live in Durham but work in Cary so I cant wait to try the one in Durham too)

This place has a great and special Ice cream. You will be amazed by the show ( when they are making it special for you). The drinks are very good too, but the prices are little too much.

The crowd is the only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars. It would be great if they had a way to manage their crowd to promote social distancing, but they are popular for a reason. Lovely, sweet and unique.

Wont be back. The online order page has no indication of the base flavor of their rolled ice creams. It only says whats in them.Nobody in my family likes chocolate ice cream (artificial chocolate tastes like chalk to us, its fairly common just like cilantro tasting like soap to some people) - imagine the disappointment when waiting 20 minutes for a campfire delight (which is only supposed to have marshmallow, graham, and a hint of syrup), to find that it is PURE CHOCOLATE ice cream with no graham or marshmallow flavor at all (see photo of the ice cream dumped in the trash). Gross had to throw it away. No problem paying for a quality product but its not excusable to mislead/not inform customers about what theyre buying, especially at this price point.Maybe they use baseline vanilla as all their ice cream, and the person making ours just rolled in 5 gallons of hersheys syrup to give it the eye-popping overwhelming chalky chocolate taste? Who would ever know when your menu page doesnt say?

I give 3 stars. I placed a order at the register for the Cookie Monster drink and rolled ice cream. The rolled ice cream was prepared and given to my daughter. 2 customers that ordered after me received their order. I went up to ask about my order. They had to go back to the register to confirm the rest of my order. The Cookie Monster was not made and I had to wait for them to prepare. The ice cream is good but the process of completing orders need to be revised.

Boba teas and rolled ice cream was great. The service was fast and the staff there was very friendly and helpful. I recommend coming here.

This place was absolutely delicious! Ice cream made from fresh ingredients, and a lot of great toppings to choose from!They also had pre grouped sets of toppings so you could just pick a whole set of goodies to top your ice cream, or you can pick whatever you want! Unlimited toppings are included in the price!I went with taro ice cream and topped it with whipped cream, teddy grahams, tapioca boba balls, lychee jelly, and mochi balls. Phenomenal decision on my part.

Epic tea and ice cream joint. They use high quality ingredients. You can taste the difference. Most big coffee & tea shops use regular milk but these guys use organic grass-fed milk. Starbucks move over there is a new sherrif in town.

I have never visited this place before now but it was amazing! I came in real quick before my hour drive back home and I enjoyed my experience. I had ordered a jasmine tea fruit drink. I was caught by suprise when they had put FRESH FRUIT in the drink as well. ALSO I got lychee jelly, which I had originally wanted before getting the boba instead, on top of the boba so that was a sweet thing rhwy did as well! I highly recommend this place since it was not only DELICIOUS but they were also REALLY QUICK!

I cannot understate how much I enjoy this place. I have never been disappointed by an order. The menu on offer is focused on providing high quality dairy (and a few non-dairy) drinks and desserts. If you like boba, ice cream, or tea stop by and try it. I recommend the Boba Brown Sugar Fresh Milk”. The taste reminds me of the Bit-o-Honey candy.

I took my family here while they were in town for the weekend. We were surprised to see such a long line this late at night but we decided to get line. After waiting for about 20 minutes to get inside, we were told it would be a 30 minute wait to get ice cream. They said they had too many orders right now and couldnt take any new ones. Ive never been to an ice cream place that didnt make your order right there in front of you. Itd be smart if they put up a wait time sign at their peak hours so you dont have to wait in line just to wait some more when you get to the register.

A very quaint small place to get a tasty treat at. The Milk lab allows you to watch ice cream and shakes being made right in front of you. It was very fascinating to watch them make the ice cream and the eat It afterword. I was also surprised by how filling it actually was even though it looked small when they were making it. They focused greatly on artistry and beauty when making there ice cream. This was a truly novel approach to how to eat ice cream.😁

Very rude staff. They are consistently rude and never seem to have a good attitude, and in customer service, a good attitude is essential. Today I bought two teas and there were no other customers in the store, and I thanked the two girls working and wished them a good day and neither one looked at me or spoke to me. I’m not sure I’ll be back here, because the staff have been rude every time I’ve been in. It’s unfortunate because the tea is very good, but having constantly rude staff is intolerable.

Rolled ice cream is worth it. They have so many options and toppings to combine it with. Pleasant experience- decent prices. Wish they had seating outdoors at least since they blocked off indoor seating still.

My expectations looking at their unique menu were over reached after tasting the dalgona coffee. And the mango rolled ice-cream was amazingly good..will have to try other items on the menu..

Best ice cream until now. Made with pure milk plus you get free unlimited toppings. I tried Monster cookie, most popular flavor they say. It was totally worth the money. Definitely be going back to try more.

We had cookie monster $6.47 and matcha latte Milk cap(regular)$5.75 you may think its expansive but its worth it if you add many topping. (Topping is on the house). Clean dining area, high speed employees you wont wait that long. its much slow on week day. Good place to chill.

Overall Im extremely impressed. During the pandemic I wouldnt expect such a great level of service, but milk lab truly delivered. I want to emphasize this over and over again that milk has truly been a limelight of my day, no my week and also their dedication and hard work is really paid off. Each and every flavor and each and every topping just touches my tongue and I feel just a spark of happiness.

Boba has a strange place in my heart. I feel like it was picked up as a bit of a fad for awhile but lacked substance to back it up. Its certainly not a healthy drink given how much sugar is added. I have only had one really good milk tea was a simple brown sugar milk tea in Taiwan. Since then, Japanese and American milk teas have not really lived up. Without much knowledge of tea or general boba practiced, youre overwhelmed with choice upon entering and this place is no different. Lots of choices is very intimidating the first time. Even finding something you like, most of the items are still too sweet for my tastes.

First I love that theyre playing it safe in the time of Covid, (thank you!!), their staff was so friendly and their cashier was amaze balls. I had the worst time narrowing down my choices so I got it down to two and let her pick. The Thai green milk tea was the surprise I ended up with and boy was I happy.

The mocha float was delicious! I’ll definitely be returning they took time fixing my drink and I could tell because it was perfect!! I even added an Oreo topping which is a must.

Milklab is our favorite milk tea location in the Triangle. Staff is always friendly, I have not gotten anything I did not love, and the rewards program is actually pretty good. If youve already tried the classic milk tea, Id recommend the strawberry matcha!

This place is really cool. The milk tea taste good and I like their aesthetic, they have a cute little table outside to sit and a eating area for the ice cream. Their staff is really sweet, they’ve made mistakes because they’re swamped but if you gently let them know they’ll make it up in a jiffy! They should hire more people to even their load, heck I’ll apply to get to eat boba every day lol I also recycle their cups they’re very pretty.

Ice cream was great with unlimited toppings! Thai milk tea was amazing. I got the cinnamon toast crunch one. There were a lot of people there but they got us through quickly. Update: still really good but I have been several times since and its hit or miss if the boba is cooked all the way through. Sometimes its really chewy.

Its really cool to watch them make your ice cream. You can get as many toppings as you want.

The 2 flavors of ice cream that we had were good. My kids loved watching the people make the ice cream rolls and selecting the extra toppings.The downside to this place is the lack of space and price. The line was out of the door when we were leaving and there wasnt enough tables and chairs to accommodate all the customers.I also think $7 (including tax) for a small bowl of ice cream is a bit steep in my opinion.

Totally a place you want to be found if you want to be hip or cool. Their stuff is good so Id say its with the price. That being said though, if I were fiscally responsible, it wouldnt be good for my budget to come here everyday. Go on a date here though, itll make you look good. But if its just your kids who will be happy with any form of sugar, get them those cheap tubs of ice cream from the grocery store.

First and foremost, this place has fantastic ice cream.However, it looks like they spent a lot of time and effort to craft an ‘aesthetic’ that quickly falls apart once you leave the front door. The Milk lab sign could not be more boring and basic. The location is also really dark at night and doesn’t look like the most well-kept shopping center either.Other than that, perfect experience; I’ll come back and try some tea later.

Been here many times, and use to love introducing others to it. Tried to go 15 minutes before they closed and they had quite a few customers and they refused to take my order.

The experience was really cool watching them make the ice cream. The only downside is that the prices were high, 8 dollars for a cup of ice cream was a bit excessive. I’d recommend it though.

Usually pretty good, and ill drive out of my way to come here. however my last time the drink was watered down significantly to where you tasted more water than milk tea. When youre paying $6 a cup you expect it to be good.

If I’m going to indulge on delicious ice cream milk lab is the ONLY place I’ll go. They are very, very sensitive and cautious about my sons peanut allergy and use a different cold plate. My fave is the teas n me, tea flavored ice cream with condensed milk. My daughter likes the bubble tea, oreo milk really with boba. The place is packed but moves fast. I promise once you go you will never go to a regular ice cream place again. Soooooo good, going now actually...

I love this place! Milk Lab is arguably the best bubble tea spot in the Triangle. All of their ingredients are fresh. I frequently order the Uji Matcha Latte or the Thai Milk Tea. My favorite topping is the grass jelly. Sometimes, I order the rolled ice cream. You won’t be disappointed if you come here.

Very creative execution on a classic dessert. Ive seen videos of rolled ice cream being made online and was always curious to see what it tasted like and am pleasantly surprised by the taste and texture. Milk Lab has a wide assortment of ice creams ranging from remixed classics like Nutella with bananas to one Ive never seen their Bang Bang, Thai tea flavored ice cream. They let you put unlimited toppings on it so I highly recommend getting creative here.Highly recommend trying new flavors here, the Bang Bang was delicious and actually preferred it over the Gone Bananas I got.Have not tried any of their teas, but I will be returning to do so in the future.
