Be aware, they have 2 masked zombies at cash register. If you approach without mask, they going to jump and fight with you. Very rude and aggressive.

I have had the best experiences at Whisk classes(5x before) learned a lot and met great people, but tonight while mingling with other participants the two of us were shushed by Mary defeating part of the purpose of these gatherings. We were conversational, not disrupting others, and intervention was not necessary and killed an otherwise great experience. We will see when I go back... really disappointing experience with Mary. Angela, Cynthia and Franco were outstanding. Think about your repeat customers.

Amazing staff, friendly, kind, knowledgeable, helpful, answered all the questions I asked and if they didnt have a particular product they recommended me to another store (even if they have everything you could ask for). Amazing owners as well, Dan and Diana are always very friendly and the place really feels like a authentic family owned store.

Great store except their prices are high. One example is they are selling the cheap white and blue face masks for $2.00 each. With masks being required to enter stores most are giving them to customers who don’t have one, but not this one! I am only giving them one star due to their desire to make a profit on an item such as a mask. I was in other small business the same day and they were offering the same type of masks free to those that did not have one. This hardly seems the time to make a profit on an item like a mask.

Bought a large silicone coated non-stick baking pan that doesnt have the toxic chemicals that are in a lot of other non-stick products. This and many other products at Wisk are also made in the USA. So glad I didnt go to target or walmart for sub par quality. The staff are also super friendly and helpful. This is my new kitchen store of choice.

I bought my husband the two day Cooking Fundamentals Class as a birthday gift. I tagged along for the event as well. The Class was wonderful and far exceeded our expectations! Chef Teresa is an extremely talented lady and she covered a multitude of techniques and recipes during the two day class. She is a wonderful teacher and presented things in a simple, concise manner. We even got to eat what we cooked which was an added benefit, and we both left with full bellies! Also, everyone in the store was extremely kind and friendly, and we even got a discount if we wanted to purchase anything. We cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience was, and what a great teacher Chef Teresa is. We also received a discount coupon to use if we wished to purchase anything from the huge inventory of kitchen items in the store. We will certainly be back and look forward to taking more classes. And, best of all, I feel far more confident in the kitchen and know how to use a knife properly after years of doing things incorrectly.

Bought butane there but realized it was not the right kind of fitting for my devices. Tried to return it but was told there is a no return policy on this product. There is no sign there saying that when I purchased it and the person that checked me out did not make this known. She simply folded the receipt and put it in my bag. Well low and behold it says it on the receipt; after the sale and when it’s too late at that point. Where is the integrity and customer service?

Wow what an awesome customer experience!!! The staff was so knowledgeable and HAPPY!!! I never thought someone could tell a story and make s Kitchen Aid mixer so interesting. But, this staff member was amazing with her product knowledge and positivity. My mother and nieces have attended multiple cooking classes here and always raved about how cool and unique this shop was but my first time walking into the store was last night after 6 PM. The reason I am pointing out the time is because I met both the Owners which were the nicest and most patient people you would want to meet. Stop in for a wonderful shopping experience stay awhile and make a friend.... Thanks again for everything.

This a review of a Mastering Knife class that I took with a group at Whisk with a chef named Kim. During the class, she was taking questions and as she was demonstrating how to cut different vegetables, including tomatoes, I asked if shed ever heard of whether someone seeds their fresh tomatoes before using them in a salad. She looked at me like I had three heads and said that shed never heard of that and that maybe I should consider using grape tomatoes. She then asked a couple of times more what the purpose of that was. Perhaps my question was dumb, but being a skills class, I thought it would an appropriate place to ask. My son, with whom I was taking the class, felt terrible for me and even more uncomfortable, it was clear that my classmates felt badly for me and tried to be kind by praising some things that I was doing. Ive shopped there for years and will continue to do so, but I would definitely NOT be taking another class there and would certainly not recommend anyone else to do so.

A great local shop. If you are looking for kitchenware then look no further. Inside you will find a wide assortment of kitchen items. From the basic to the unique they have it all. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They also do cooking classes in the back of the store. Visit and be amazed at the variety.

They know what they are talking about! I went in for some help and the first person that I talked to was not able to help me, but clearly they have trained their employees well because they took the time to ask other sales associates and even call their vendors to find me an answer. I dont expect any small business to be perfect, but to simply care about helping me and they clearly do. I got my favorite pair of kitchen scissors sharpened (which I didnt even know could be done) and they made the process painless. The next time I need expert advice I now know where to start.

The place is packed like a sardine tin. Need an old timey collard green chopper? They have that. Need an egg topper? They have that, too. How about nonstick cookware that cant be scratched up by your spouse and kids? Or durable nonstick cookware that you can cook an egg in? How about three kinds of cast iron cookware? Maybe you need a new knife or seven? Theyve got you covered. And if they dont have it (they dont have much in the way of coffee machines, for example), they can either special order it, or point you in the right direction with solid recommendations for places to go and brands to shop for. Mine them for knowledge. And I didnt even mention the cooking classes. My favorites are the Thai, pasta, sushi, and the beef bacon and beer ones -- Im a frequent flyer. They sell out within hours for good reason.

My wife and I took a cooking class over the weekend. It was fantastic. Ana, the chef and teacher, was funny and explained Thai cuisine in detail sharing ingredients with the audience and I ate till I was stuffed. We have agreed we are going to make this a regular occurrence and look forward to the next time.

Seem to be more focused in selling new items and keeping reduced inventory. Sold me a mid level (not cheap) espresso machine and when I inquired about filters, they said they would begin carrying them. Now six months later and still no filters. If the buyer doesnt get local service on high price items and has to buy regular maintenance items from Internet, then why not buy from the Internet altogether?

I was signed up to take a class at Whisk. The day of the class my dog had a seizure and was having trouble walking. I clearly could not attend, so I called Whisk and explained the situation. Whisk was completely heartless with their policies even when I offered to send them a video or vet visit information. My dog passed away the next day. While, I can certainly understand the need for policies there also needs to be balance in how a business deals with people who just flake out vs. legitimate emergencies. I will not do any further business with Whisk and suggest that others consider this a warning that the family & community feel at Whisk is just a facade.

I had a certain food coloring I was hoping to find and they didnt have it (it turned out to be only sold online.) but they could tell I had about 5% of an idea of what I was doing and spent at least 25 minutes explaining what all the different kinds do (powder color for chocolate to not add moisture, etc.) I felt so comfortable in there like if I couldve stayed all day they would tell me about every product in the store happily. It was a great change from most cooking/baking stores you walk into where you feel almost as if the people getting paid to help you are sticking their noses up about how you dont know what the differences between 2 products are. Its worth it to travel across Cary to go here rather than another closer store! Love this place and hoping to finally get into a class one of these days!! They seem to sell out quickly!

I posted a yelp review a few months back after my wife and I attended a class at this location. We have attended several classes at other shops so were accustomed to the experience. Right from the start it was obvious that Ana was not qualified as a chef. She opened packages with her teeth, used her non-native background as an excuse for every question she couldnt answer, harassed the kitchen help, was completely unprepared, and worst of all, sexually harassed me in front of my wife. She made unwanted advances in front of my wife and the class and then later in class walked by and ran her hands across my back in front of my wife. We sat through the class bewildered by the inappropriate behavior, foul language, and lack of ability.I really cant explain the unbelievable lack of professionalism and inappropriate behavior. I cannot in good conscious recommend this location to others. Although the cook staff saw and heard the inappropriate behavior, they took no action, which leads me to believe this isnt the first time.

I was very pleased to find this well appointed store in Cary! I was in there for the first time yesterday to see some pans that I had been looking at online. Dan seemed knowledgeable. And he was VERY helpful, discussing the pros and cons of various pans, taking the time to remove pans from boxes for me, taking down display items so I could feel them in my hand, checking the back for stock, etc. I was probably there for at least an hour, trying to make up my mind ... so really appreciated the friendly, personal service.Normally, I make most of my purchases online. But you just cant beat good service. And, I was pleasantly surprised that the Le Creuset braiser I ultimately purchased was not any more expensive than it would have been if I had purchased it online. If my future experiences at Whisk match the one I had yesterday, with knowledgeable, friendly service and reasonable pricing, this will be my new go-to store for all things cooking-related.

Ive attended 5 or 6 cooking classes in the past and always had a great experience. However, my husband and I attended a Brazilian class on August 6th and after securing our seats in the front row, we were asked to move to the back row. What we typically do at Whisk classes is to always get there 30 minutes early so we can secure our seats in the front row, directly in the front of the stovetop, where we could always be right there where all the action was going on. When we secured our seats in the front row on Aug 6th, we were asked by the chef to move and take a seat in the back row. When we questioned her motives, the chef, Ana Soares, told us the front row seats were being used for “other, real clients”. We even joked back with her that we didn’t know we weren’t “real” people. Afterwards we realized she was actually serious. After moving to the back row, we watched other folks show up and take the front row seats where we had initially been seated. So I started doing a slow burn during the class. Did the first row students pay more than I did for the class? I paid $138 for me and for my husband, Dave. Why isn’t my money good enough for the first row? Why did I have to go to the back of the bus? There was a very nice man, Jay, at the front of the store as we were leaving when the class was over. I told him about my concerns and asked why Ana would have us move to the back row. He seemed quite taken aback, couldnt tell me a reason that wed been asked to take a back seat. He said hed take it up with Ana. I told him Id go ahead and attend the biscuit class Ive already paid for later this month, but that after that, Ill never attend another class at this store or give them any of my business.Ill tell my friends to never frequent this store given their poor treatment of customers.

Though only open for a couple of months, I can tell this shop is going to be my go to store for kitchen supplies and equipment. They carry every imaginable gadget (and some you might not have imagined and my fave brand, OXO) as well as quality cookware (Allclad, Le Creuset), bakeware (USA brand), small appliances, a vast selection of knives (a knife sharpening service is available too) and even a few cookbooks. PLUS they offer cooking classes, both demo and hands on throughout the week. The shop owners are passionate about food and cooking and that passion really shows in how well stocked the store is and how knowledgeable the staff is. I love that this shop opened in Cary and hope the trend towards locally owned, independents there continues.
