Not friendly and extreme price gouging. A box of cheap 38 special ammo that was $12 before the last big scare is now $75!! More than 3x of anywhere else. I realize it’s not always easy to find and a short supply /demand will cause a price increase but this is insane. Then to top it off when I walked in (first and last time ever) the guy behind the counter greeted me with “What do you need?” Not rude but a decent personality would be helpful when trying to gouge customers.. hopefully everyone remembers when supplies come back. Definitely will not be shopping there again.

I know Powder River is the best gun shop in Casper! Staff take time to talk to you and truly listen to what you need or any problems your having with your firearm. Openly teaching those of us who may not know it all and never from a condescending standpoint due to customer lack of knowledge. Extremely knowledgeable, no B.S. very competitively priced firearms. Before you go to Sportsmans or anywhere else. Stop by Powder River 1st. It never hurts to shop and buy local does it?!?!? If you take this advice you will see the difference Im talking about and will not be disappointed. Thanks Powder River for all your help, you have a lifelong dedicated customer.

I bought my first AR here. I looked at the other gun shops in town and he had the best prices. With the budget I had he actually talked me out of spending more money and told me to start with a stock gun and add as I go. I thought that was a nice gesture. He’s a knowledgeable man and can answer any questions.
