I was given a family ring with a well loved stone set in a heavy man’s design. I was looking to have an engagement ring custom made so I went to google and found this shop across town from where I reside. I decided to take a chance and visit. Instead of getting the custom ring I originally thought I wanted I found a stunningly beautiful ring in the glass case. It was the engagement ring and wedding band set. I proposed to my future wife on my birthday in Cancun. She already proposed to me a few months before so she wasn’t expecting this at all. She was floored and loves her ring! Melissa has been so personable and helpful as we came back to get the ring re sized and I will be back for my yellow gold wedding set as I want to have white and yellow gold options lol.

A few short months ago I was planning out my proposal to my now-fiance, and was hoping everything would work out as planned. Due to the global health situation were all still facing, my original proposal plans wouldnt be possible, so I came up with a backup plan. First however, I needed to get an exact ring size, so while my then-girlfriend was out on the job, I brought one of her casual rings over to the nearest jewelry shop I could find - A & M, which happened to be right across the street from my apartment. I went in only expecting to get a precise ring measurement, as I planned to buy a new ring up in New Jersey where my parents currently live. After being greeted by Stanley and chatting for a bit, he showed me all of his amazing custom jewelry work, and in that moment I was convinced to work with him instead to make the proposal special.And Im so glad I did! First I needed to head home to visit family for Thanksgiving break so I could grab my late Aunts old ring. For charging nothing extra to have the 1 Karat diamond transferred from my Aunts ring to a new setting, which I was able to choose and customize within my budget, working with Stanley was the right choice! Planning to propose on Christmas Day, the new ring was ready to pick up the day before leaving to head up north for the holiday break. The timing was perfect, and the big day was even more perfect, because not only was she totally surprised, but she said yes!Thank you so so much A & M!! Top notch family owned business. Have had numerous repairs, customs, purchases, etc here in the last year- Melissa and Stanley have always gone above and beyond. Both are incredibly sweet, helpful and honest. I forgot a few very expensive stones there and they called to let me know they found them and would keep them safe until I could come back. I also love being able to go to one business for all of my jewelry related needs, and all done in house super fast. I have never had to wait long- some things done same day! Thinking of having my wedding ring redone soon so will definitely be back!

I’m sure they do a wonderful job with selling jewelry, but don’t go here for a watch battery replacement. Stopped in to get three watch batteries replaced before Christmas and was told they were too busy. Said to come back after January 6. Completely understandable, due to the season. Waited until 1/16 and walked in again, only to be told that they were too busy. Guess what they said? Come back in a couple weeks. Now, I’m good with a business doing what they want, but a jeweler not replacing a watch battery? Really???I have an innovative suggestion. How about asking me to leave the watches for a couple weeks while they get to it. Or if you don’t want to replace watch batteries, maybe suggest another local establishment that might provide the service? Or maybe a sign on the front door saying “we don’t replace watch batteries”. Just an “I’m sorry, we’re very busy?” I thought I was in. Melissa and her team made my 14 year old ring look great! They cleaned, removed scratches from, replaced prongs, and re-plated my ring in a much shorter amount of time than they originally quoted. It looks like new and I couldn’t be happier!! I also learned that they can re-create jewelry from a photograph, and I’m looking forward to their making a ring like an heirloom ring I lost!

I want to preface this review by saying that I do not give out five stars lightly. You can look through my review history and see that I am very critical, definitely when it comes to customer service. This shop exceeded all expectations.My fiancé was in a car crash back in December, her engagement ring was pretty much destroyed. Both main stones (amethysts) had popped out (couldn’t be found) and they started to cut through the back of the ring to get it off of her finger. Needless to say, it needed some love.We purchased the ring in Washington DC and had sent it back to that store before because a stone had chipped, they replaced the stone with one that didn’t match the color of the other stone in the ring. They were also very expensive. I bought two stones off of Etsy before even taking it to Stanley because of this experience.After searching on Google, we decided to try this place out. I was a bit hesitant due to the location, but went because of all of the positive reviews. When we walked in, Stanley came out to greet us. He looked at the ring and I told him that I had already purchased stones to put in it. He told me he couldn’t use the stones because they were the wrong shape and would cost a significant amount of money to reshape. He said he’d be able to find some ones to match the ring. After some convincing, we left the ring with him. He said he’d get back to us in a couple of days with an estimate, after he had a chance to clean the ring up.He sent my fiancé a text a few days later with the cost and a picture of the stones he was going to put in it. He was VERY reasonable. She told him to go ahead and he had the ring finished by the weekend.We went in and picked the ring up. It looked brand new! He did an excellent job! He cleaned the ring, installed new stones, fixed the bent prongs, filled in the cut marks from when they tried to saw it off of her finger and tightened all of the smaller stones! (he may have done more, but I’m not a jeweler)Again, the price was very reasonable. If I had sent this back to the shop that I had purchased it from, it probably would have cost triple what he charged us. Stanley was very personable and we are both very glad that we chose to go to this place.If you have a jewelry repair, I highly suggest this store. If you like to be treated like a person and want quality work done, you will not find a better place. I Also appreciate him not taking advantage of us. I can’t give enough thanks to Stanly for fixing this ring. It means a lot to have it back to it’s former glory!!!

So happy to have found this place! The work done to repair my engagement ring was amazing - it looks brand new! What I was especially grateful for was the time that Stanley and his son took to explain the processes they use to do repairs and to explain how some of the equipment they use works. I had also brought in a special watch to get a battery - the watch came from another country and it is hard to find the correct battery size at most stores with jewelry counters. A & M had the one I needed in stock. I feel like anything I would need in the realm of jewelry purchase, design, or repair could be done here and Im confident it would be done with excellence.

Absolutely love them here! My mom has been using them since I was a kid and they have always done great work. So when the time came for me to get married they were the first thought to help us get our rings sized, we were give family pieces to wear, and cleaned. Im so glad I decided to use them because our rings came back looking like they were just made! My ring is my grandfathers so I didnt know what I wanted them to do I thought just make it look like new but they knew better!! The jeweler made sure to clean it up to when it was new but he left all of the dings and dents my grandfather had done for character and it looks amazing! And that was just my wedding band!! My wifes ring we thought was just gold but after they worked their magic it turned out to be white gold! And her ring looks amazing as well! All in all awesome people that doing fantastic work!!

I went here for the first time yesterday after finding other good reviews online for A&M. I had 3 Kate Spade watches which all needed new batteries at the same time. I took them in after work and they were able to replace all 3 batteries in a matter of minutes. They explained the prices before doing any work and made sure I was happy. When my boyfriend and I decided to move forward in our relationship in October, we had no idea how difficult engagement ring shopping could be. We decided to shop for rings together, and were continuously met with chain stores pushing styles we stated we were not interested in. These stores also wanted us to pay extra as my tiny ring size would require a custom order.The experience we had at A & M Jewelers was radically different. Our voices and wishes were always the top priority, but the owner shared when design choices would affect the overall integrity of the ring and were maybe not the best choice.The owner and his wife provided pictures of the ring being made, which my fiancé and I very much cherish. The final product is not only the most beautiful piece of jewelry I have ever seen; it is very high quality and is exactly what I wanted. TL;DR : With no wedding ring a week before my wedding during COVID-19 shutdowns A&M Jewlers stepped up to the plate and delivered a great CUSTOM ring accompanied by friendly and personable service.My wife and I have been planning a June 2020 wedding for the last year. This became harder to do once COVID-19 started to spread around the world. Things had to be canceled/moved, people had to be updated and informed, and plans had to be reworked in order to comply with legal restrictions. Things were chaotic, but we were still getting things done.Since Jewlers were closed we had to order our Wedding rings online. This wasnt much of a problem since we ordered a ring sizer online as well. We both picked out the rings we liked and ordered them roughly the same time. Hers came in rather quickly and it looked and felt the way she thought it would. However, mine took a while to get here, and when it arrived we were startled to find out that it didnt fit ! I must have given them the wrong size in the email. Resizing wasnt an option since we were a week and a half away from the wedding day and resizing would take months since we had to send it back through mail.After that night we started looking for any physical brick and mortar place we could find that was open. Places ranged anywhere from closed -> curbside only -> open. Thankfully A&M Jewlers was one of those places that was open. They were the ONLY Jewlers that gave us confidence and a guarantee that they would find SOMETHING for me in time.After arriving at the store we were welcomed by a friendly staff and worked with them to come up with a game plan. It turns out that Stanley(A Jewler at A&M) works with 3D printing technology to create custom rings ! We decided to have a custom made ring created, and have a backup ring saved in case anything went wrong. So over the following 4 days Stanley kept in contact with me through Facebook showing me his work, keeping me up to date, and putting my mind at ease; Constantly letting me know that he had this under control and that I did not have to worry about it. 4 days later and the ring was ready ON TIME and waiting for me to pick it up. It is GORGEOUS, fits great, and it was a great price. It is also cool knowing that this was custom made !We are so happy that we walked into A&M Jewlers that day. The experience was great.

Stanley is AWESOME! !!!I can not express how awesome this place is or the customer service that they provide in a review, but I will tell you about my amazing experience. I went in to have my brand new Kay jewelers engagement ring resized, and Stanley took one look at my brand new ring and said he was more than happy to do so but could tell that it had already been cut and there was severe imperfections. My fiance and I both looked and could see what he was referring to. He didnt try to persuade us in anyway, but could tell that I was unhappy with the custom made ring that I waited 6 months for and suggested I contact Kay, and tell them that I was unhappy with the ring and ask that they fix it. We proceeded to do so, and we were met with an enormous amount of push back. We returned to A&m and spoke to Stanley in great lengths about the ring. Upon learning what we had spent on the ring he said he could make us a ring with an extraordinary diamond. He showed us a diamond that far out weighed my current diamond both in size and quality however I was a little skeptical of this small business. On good faith Stanley designed a ring that was exactly what I had asked Kay to do 6 months ago. He delivered that custom made ring in under a week, and it took my breath away. He even found a wedding band that was a perfect match and sold it to us for stock. My previous 10k ring was half the size and quality than the ring Stanley made for me. I LOOOVE this place!!! They have the best jewelry and they can repair just about anything. I had a bracelet that I bought that snapped at the pressure point. What a great place for Jewelry,Nostalgia and Watch repairs.Easy access from rte 40 or Rolling rd.My watch needed a new battery and it took only a few minutes to install.Very open and friendly atmosphere, enjoyed talking and looking around. I came to this location for a Ring Resize, they took the ring and immediately told me it couldnt be done from anyone/ anywhere and take the ring back and get a refund, this is my Wedding Ring that I really love, I was so distraught,luckily i didnt give up i WAS able to find a Store to Resize the Ring... Needless to say I wont be going to this location anymore!

That saying a diamond in the rough is for A&M Jewelers.My original engagement ring and wedding band were stolen while I was on vacation. I was devastated, and waited several months before deciding what to do to replace them. I considered not even replacing them. So, given how disconnected i was to the rings now, my husband and I decided to try the online route a try and bought a ring through James Allen. We did a lot of research, thought we found an awesome stone. I was super excited. My husband re proposed and everything. But as soon as he opened the box, I immediately noticed something was off. The stone was set crooked. I knew it needed to go back to be fixed, but decided that before I send it back to be fixed I wanted to get a professional to just assess it for me. I didnt feel like hiking all the way up to Nelson Coleman (where my original ring was from) so googled local jewelers, saw A&M and then read the reviews. I was a bit skeptical, honestly. This is the place I assumed was maybe more like a pawn shop as I passed it going to Hmart or the nail salon next door. But, I decided to go check it out. I had nothing to lose.Stanley immediately saw what I saw, and also gladly assessed the ring. Without getting into all of the details here, he explained that the stone I bought was deeply cut and also had surface graining. He invited me to the back of the store to sit down and carefully review the ring with me. He expressed that he felt he could get me something better and still in line with my budget. He showed me samples of jewelry he makes, explaining his process, etc. I was still a little skeptical, and honestly kind of just wanted to be done with the rings and not back to the drawing board. I had visited 6 jewelry stores already, was so sad about my originals, and just wanted to move on. But, I agreed to let him bring in some stones for me.Stanley had 4 really nice stones for me to look at in just 2 days. More variety and in line with what I wanted than any of the other stores and also much quicker. Stanley was very patient with me as I weighed my options, returned the ring to James Allen over the course of 10 days (he also polished them up to get them into pristine condition before I even agreed to buy anything from him). He was never pushy or pestering in that time. He listened carefully to what I wanted in my setting and got to work planning it out even before I bought the diamond. He even humored my desire to go against his recommendations on a couple of things, and changed my mind on some others. Both my engagement ring and band were custom made in platinum in just over 2 weeks. Stanley kept us updated along the way.I was able to ultimately get a stone significantly larger than I originally had for just a little bit more than my original ring. Stanley and his wife Melissa were a pleasure to work with. Stanley is truly talented and dedicated to client satisfaction. He takes pride in his work and successfully made me fall back in love with my rings. So glad I took a leap and decided to go with the reviews rather than my personal perception of his shop from the outside/location.

I went to A&M Jewelers with my fiancé to get my wedding ring set custom made and they made the whole experience pleasant and easy. I’ve never had custom jewelry made but I was able to show them a picture from Pinterest and they were able to make the set exactly like it was in the picture. Their pricing is very reasonable compared to commercial jewelry stores like Zales or Jared. I chose a classic solitaire engagement ring with a Moissanite stone. They had a Moissanite stone in store to compare to diamonds and they had a good variety of different types of jewelry in-store. Stanley and the whole A&M Jewelry staff are professional and will work with you until you are happy with the end product. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for custom jewelry.
