The bacon is TOP TIER!!! The breakfast sausage patties are amazing too. They taste very similar to what my grandpa made himself when I was a kid. I have a few other products I have not tried yet. I absolutely recommend this place.

Best meat place Ive ever been to. They even have a delicacy that isnt made anymore called render loaf. My German great-grandparents used to make it for us when I was a little boy. Only one other place in Iowa makes it and its nothing compared to steeges. I even taste a hint of nutmeg:)If you buy their render loaf put it in a pan on medium with the lid on. The meat will basically melt looks weird but dont worry. Then remove the lid and turn to medium high. The trick to cooking it is just to keep folding into itself and flattening it out. Do this for about 30 minutes until it starts to get nice and crispy. Then flatten out everything in the pan to about 1/4 of an inch. Cut little 2-inch square sections. Keep flipping the small sections so they get a nice brown on both sides. After both sides are browned nicely put the meat pieces on a paper towel for 5 minutes then eat. Its a fantastic meat to add to quiche, omelettes and breakfast burritos or just to eat by itself.

We will never do business here again. They kept pushing our beef back and back. They did not go by how we wanted it cut. No T-bones. They said it would go farther if it was cut in strips. Never called us to ask if okay . Our meat was not frozen when we got it. The cost of processing was as much as buying half a cow. Be aware if you are waiting a long time. A lot of the meat was not even frozen.

This place is absolutely amazing they have the best meat in the state of Iowa I really recommend it.

Worst locker experience ever. Brought our goose meat into the locker at the end of March and just got it back today July 20. I was lied to twice and told the meat was being processed but it wasnt. I called more than half a dozen times, stopped at the locker 3 times, sent a contact us form, and sent a message through Messenger.The owner lied to me a few weeks ago when I stopped by the locker. He said the goose was being processed (it was a Friday) and it would be wrapped Monday. I called a week later and was told it hadnt been processed yet. I told the woman that answered the phone what I was told by the owner. She took my name and number and told me he would call back, he never did.So almost 4 months later we get our goose sticks back. It was $3.50 a lb, the flavor is ok but they are mushy. We will never use this locker again. Lesson learned.
