Very pleasant to shop here. Great to have a place to shop for the shoprite items without the madness that is West Orange. Aisles are a bit narrow but when I go in the weekends in the evening I never feel it is that crowded. They seem to have a decent selection and the store is always clean.

Good store if you need to pick something up that you plan to use same day or next day. Bakery items are delicious. I’ve purchased mushrooms that went moldy three days after buying though. They do carry shoprite products but everything is not always fresh.

I love their pre-cooked food but its really hard to navigate the store they need to have large print signs for those who are disabled but I lost my husband in the store yesterday and it was me to panic iy would have been better if they had fine that way I could know what department he was in its a really good freaking food really good card machines dont work though never read my husbands credit card or mine constantly says we dont have funds even though we do cashiers can be rude but overall it is a nice store

Great seafood selection. They and Caldwell Seafood have good seafood. Caldwell can be pricey but splurge on their lobster salad with brioche buns from market next door. Toasted with butter and it is great for a Friday or Saturday movie night. Dont tell your doctor.

This was my favorite food store, 5 star but since the change to Shop rite, things have gone downhill. First the bread is not the same. They had the best bread and always fresh out of the oven. Now you are lucky to get a warm bagequet and the taste is different. They had the best store made sausage patties but now they are gone. Fresh mozzarella was the best in the area but now it tastes different and some times it is day old. They always had gourmet products but now most are slowly going away with shoprite brand replacing. These changes are going to sink this store. People are going to seek alternatives.

This place is small & crowded, and it doesnt help that too many careless, entitled people ignore the one-way isles, causing backups & confrontations...A decent amount of the workers do the same thing. Are the owners even aware?!?We are still in the middle of a pandemic, whether you have been vaccinated or not, ITS NOT OVER...The transmission numbers in North Jersey are some of the worst in the country, and rising...This store, and a fair amount of the people who shop here, could care less. I dont go nearly as much as I used to, or want to.

The good is they have a very good deli, butcher and sea food departments. The bad is that it is a relitivly small store with tight aisles. This place is a bit pricey too.

This place used to be great when it was Foodtown but now it’s awful. While they made some improvements, overall it’s a fail. Their new cheap bags rip, the self check out is annoying and there is always a wait to checkout in the regular lines. There’s never parking anymore because at any given time there are 12-15 just waiting to checkout. The great thing about Foodtown is there was NEVER a wait to checkout. Ever

Horrible store with no management & surly unfriendly cashiers ( mostly males who hate it there )... When it was Foodtown it was a nice store & cahiers liked the job. They must have bad working conditions because its obvious.. They would never last in Kings . Its not worth it going there because it never improves.. worse grocery store ever !!

This store was great when it was foodtown. Since it became the fresh grocer they literally never have anything in stock.

I was so let down by this store. Online it looks so inviting,in person its a mess. Walking thru is like an obstacle course-tight and yesterday must of been delivery day because the aisles were full of boxes waiting to be stocked. I was most disappointed at check out. I didnt have a discount card but since the cashier was happy to find one to use for the customer before me I thought it would be fine. She just told me to go to the desk and they would help me. Guess I didnt rate with her like the previous customer? I went to get the card and my 10.27 back but of 3 people working I was told to wait till the 1 was done helping another lady. I just gave up since I felt no customer care at all. I was so hoping for a nice little store to shop at but I got nothing here.

Amazing shopping experience! Not a huge store but filled with quality. Easy to buy more than you wanted but you wont regret it

I have been going to this supermarket for 9 years. The produce, deli and butcher are great. The bakery use to be really good but has changed. They arent bad but they arent what they use to be. Customer service is great. Parking lot gets full on Holidays and Tuesdays (Senior Citizen day) but even when full it isnt crazy.

The manager must think the store is in Newark or Paterson 7:30 in the morning and there blasting hip hop music.They dont know there customer base at that hour,or any hour for that matter.Food variety is not as good they dont even carry Diamond crystal Kosher salt.

First time there and shelves were not all filled but understandable, somehow Shop Rite brands were also sold and that was fine with me. The cashier seemed indifferent unfriendly and I felt bad for him, maybe had a bad day. The prices were better than Foodtown .

One of the best grocery stores in the area, hands down. Theyve struck a near perfect balance between quality & price, which is something retailers of any type are rarely able to do. My experiences with the staff have always been friendly and helpful, even first thing on a Saturday morning. The produce, meats, and cheeses are always very fresh and never, ever on the brink of going bad.The store is a bit smaller, darker, and has narrower isles than some other supermarket chains in the area, and the selection of items is not the widest around. But to be honest, I prefer the intimate, low key, more relaxed atmosphere that this produces, and they stock all the items Im looking for. If they remodel it to resemble some other local supermarkets, Ill probably stop going, lol.Overall, one of your best bests for a dependable, high-quality, mid-range supermarket for many miles in all directions. Highly recommend!

I love this place. Its open early so you can stop in before work, and I work at 8am. There is beautiful fresh produce and a wide selection even given how small this particular store is. I love the prepared foods, which have both greasy junk food for late night cravings and healthy options for when you just dont have time to cook. The location is convenient on rt. 23. Ive never been unable to find parking.

Love the prices. BUT BEWARE OF GOING ON TUESDAY IF YOU ARE BELOW THE AGE OF 30. Thats is the elderly discount day, avoid at all costs if you dont wanna have bodies and carts everywhere as well as nowhere to park because none of them can park a car within the lines.

Todays my second visit at Super Foodtown in Cedar Grove, New jersey and I was very delighted to be there ... the thing that strikes me most is to see such fresh produce, poultry, fish, fruits etcetera and courteous staffs- one Male staff even goes out of his busy schedule to tell me and show me where to find things and the aisle they were in- I was so impressed, it took my breath away ...The cashier, asked me if I have a foodtown card and I said no but I would do it another time, then I returned today and bought a few things and in the Seafood Department Cherryshowed me the Foodtown card which was around her neck and said to me that I shouldget one of which I did, I was very pleasedwith the service that she gave me - And I appreciate it a whole bunch -So, now I know where to go to get some of the good things and healthy things in life-I am so elated that Ive found a Super Foodtown/place to do my shopping while I was only passing by a few days ago and finally stopped to check it out!Awesome!

Good store, market type of layout. Deli has great made items as well as home made soup! Bakery is a great producer of cookies, cakes, donuts and pastries.

Theres plenty to like about the Cedar Grove food town. Its very well maintained. Its smaller in size than many supermarkets. But it has a full variety of choice.

Small store and pricey, however everything is in a convenient spot, and everyone is really friendly there.. parking is not oversized, however its a good parking lot thats easy to get in and out. Carry most things i need and must of the time i dont mind sending the extra dollars door the convenience of quick, easy, friendly, and fresh!

Store is nice and clean. When I got to register the cashier was not very nice. No greeting, face all turned up as if why are you black and Spanish here.

Is a good local grocery store with good food at reasonable prices. Its a bit small compared to other grocery store, but is good none the less.I must say though that I dont think they check their canned food very much because I recently bought a can of beets that expired 4 years ago... theyll have to work on that.

Grocery store with a fairly standard selection, not a lot of speciality items or brands. A little bit pricey but we end up going here a lot because the location is convenient and its easy to get in, get out.

Small store, friendly employees, great ready made foods from Nicholas Market.

Love the small town feeling and yet it has many products I know and use.Now to enlarge the selection of foods from other cultures.

Lines build up here but they always have more than enough cashiers to drain down the line pretty quickly.

Nice place clean, friendly employees and great sales. But the bakery is very inconsistent. Cookies are hit or miss. Sometimes soft and chewy other times hard and they fall apart.

What happened? Place used to be filled with such friendly employees now it seems they have left and been replaced with such rude folks. Id take robots and automation over the status quo here. Cashiers rude and unattentive too busy snapchatting I guess. Deli department is not bad the employees there seem to care, except for that one fellow who was digging for gold while preparing what looked like yams and marshmallows. The people by the courtesy counter are great though always helpful and friendly the cashiers need to take notes. About the store has some good selection on certain brands and items but at the same time its not worth trying to navigate the cramped aisles. Which is worse now given their tax return deal with Instacart(which is a government jobs program). So now add having to deal with rude pushy spastic professional shoppers which only further crowd the store. Being in this place from the rude workers to rude shoppers to spotty sanitation standards just isnt worth it for some above average product selection

Gets busy. Less expensive than Kings but more expensive than ShopRite. Quality produce. Excellent bakery dept: the bagels and donuts are excellent-- better than what you get at a bagel or donut shop. Cold cut line moves but is very busy, so go there first, or get presliced cold cuts near the counter.

Great quality and prices on Angus meat when on sale. I come here for choice ribeye at $5.99/lb. On special. Pricing normally all over the place...especially high on home cleaning goods.

Parking lot is usually pretty crowded and even though its not really the stores fault, people rarely show courtesy in the lot. they sill fly in from both entrances off route 23 and probably come damn close to causing accidents.. the selection inside is decent, though the store must have been the original supermarket in town because other than moving stuff around it doesnt look like its gotten a renovation or expansion in forever. The self checkouts are kind of slow and they dont warn you that if youre using debit, you have to push the yellow button on the card reader to continue, the register just hangs and seems like its waiting. Ive had it happen twice where theyve had to suspend the transaction, make me move everything to the courtesy desk and re-scan there. The prices are decent, MUCH better than the Kings down the street. It would do much better if it were in a newer area up 23 where theres more room. its set back behind a couple of buildings and unless youre looking for it you could miss it the first time.

We had the Deli cater a party at our house the day after thanksgiving - the deli manager was a pleasure to deal with. He arranged for a server to come to our home; they set up everything. Linda (the server)was always around, but never intrusive. The food flowed; Linda kept it coming. Our guests raved about the foods, from the appetisers to the cake. The cake was made at food town - and delicious! When it was over, she cleaned it all up and put it all away, bagged the garbage and recycling, and then disappeared. No question we would use them again.

The best meat department in quality and price. Good cuts of meat is all about the butcher, they have the best.

Always good is there home delivery

I view this as an upscale hybrid of a bodega and a grocery store. It fits the bill.
