7 AM last Friday my garage door wouldnt open. I left a message for Rissland and Domenic called back promptly and scheduled a service call for 9:30 AM. Had a nice experience with Dominick at Rissland. Replaced two garage door openers for us in a little over an hour and theyre working great. He was straightforward about which openers needed to be replaced and which had more life left on them, which we appreciated. Also didnt try to upsell unnecessary tech and was very responsive when one of the openers needed to be reprogrammed. Would recommend and use again.

Could not have been more satisfied with our experience with Rissland, and their tech Dominic(sp?). Our opener died in the late morning - after one call, we had Dominic at our place within two hours and he diagnosed the problem and installed a new opener within another hour. As my wife said, he turned an emergency with unknown length to a problem solved.

I have had Rissland fix my garage door and my neighbor also used their services. For the past three weeks, no phone calls have been returned. Their service is expensive and they were quick to be paid but they are not so quick to respond to issues after the door is repaired. I would not recommend using them. Sorry Rissland.

Dominic was informative and patient. He walked us through different options from replacing the motor and refurbishing the track to replacing the entire system, and the options in between. When I had a question he got back to me same day. Once we made our choice, the door was replaced the next week and in only half a day. He walked me through the system and the door looks great! I called Rissland after our son accidentally drove the car into the middle section of the garage damaging the garage posts and siding. They arrived first thing in the AM to assess. Amazingly the garage door system was in tact. Although no damage to the garage door system they did a temporary fix to the garage and siding! Also gave good advice on finding someone to permanently fix the garage and siding.In short, extremely responsive and great customer service!

Our garage door suddenly stopped working late one night. The next morning, at 7am sharp, we contacted Rissland. They were at our house within 4 hours and fixed our garage door in 45 min. If you read the reviews 2 things are consistent. 1. Selling new products which have high gross margins mostly rate them good.2. Maintaince, service calls rate them POOR. I agree this company wants to Sell you but not service their product or installations they sold you.They seem to have continual complaints of not returning calls etc. My experience as well. My garage door opener just stopped working. It was explained to me because the opener was so old and did not have the new safety features, it was dangerous. Obviously we decided to replace it. I’m so glad I did because the new opener is so quite and most importantly safe. I’m very pleased with Rissland.

My experience with Rissland was absolutely horrible. I purchased two garage door openers from them that broke after 13 months. The Rissland tech came out and took a look and was surprised that the weld broke after 13 months. He indicated that he would call the manufacturer to see if they would replace the garage door opener given that we were just 1 month outside of warranty. A week goes by without any response from Rissland. I call them and were then told that its not their responsibility to reach out to the manufacturer, its our responsibility. It would have been nice for them to at least proactively pick up the phone and call to tell me that I should call. The manufacturer responded promptly offering to send the parts to have the garage door opener repaired. I sent an email to Rissland to see if they could repair the garage door opener and what the cost would be for the repair but never received a response. Several days later, I called them and left a voicemail but once again, no response. Finally, a week later, I called and got someone. They told me that I should try my luck with Rissland. Their customer service rates a 0, not even a 1. If youre in the business of selling products or services, you should be willing to take the 1/2 hour it takes to help a customer once somethings gone wrong.

I was having some issues with my old garage door popping off it’s tracks. With two young kids at home going in and out of there playing with toys, I had to get this fixed quickly. I called a few companies that said they would charge me $75-$100 just to come out and look at it, before doing any repairs. I finally called Rissland and spoke to Dominic (who is awesome by the way. Can’t beleive I actually read some of these bad reviews about him, not true at all). He came right over within 24-48 hours. Instead of trying to sell me on replacing my entire garage door, he found a few things wrong with it that he could fix and repair in order to make it last. Obviously I know I will eventually have to replace the door since it’s from like the 60’s. But I appreciate the work he did and I will definitely be using him when it is time to replace the whole thing.

I contacted Rissland after I purchased my home in Summit (coworker recommended them). The original garage doors were in bad condition. One didnt open and the other was almost impossible to open. When I called Rissland they were able to come out the same day to give me an estimate. Since I had a budget, I contacted two larger companies (Precision and Aspen) to get other estimates. But Risslands price was competitive and I like that they are a smaller company. They didnt try to sell me the way the other two companies did. Rissland was back the next week installing the new doors and did a great job. The techs were knowledgable and professional. I would highly recommend them.

I hired Rissland to install a new garage door in my home on May 16, 2016. The installation was performed in a satisfactory manner without incident. After the garage door was installed I noticed that a piece of wood which was supporting the door and had become loose. We were originally advised by the company that this loose piece of wood from the old garage door was a problem and needed to be fixed. Given the original issues with the old door and this structural support I was concerned that the new garage door was not installed properly and could be a danger to my family. I began contacting them via email and phone in August of 2016 and have not heard back since. They have continually ignored all attempts of mine to have this problem resolved. I have a record of approximately 20 emails to prove that I attempted to contact them to resolve this issue.

We used this company previously for liftmaster installations for our garage doors. We needed a door sensor and wire repair and my 79 yr. old mother was told that a technician would be at our home between 10 am and 2 pm. the following day. She waited and no one showed, and when she called to find out if the tech was still coming, Dominick was extremely rude to her and told her that they are not coming and would not be coming. I called at 5:30 pm that night and spoke to Dominick and he was extremely rude to me. We were going to be repeat customers but we would never consider this company for anything. Be warned, they will waste your time and give you a tongue lashing without regret. Watch out if Dominick answers the phone. He is not truthful or honest.

Run away!!!!! Our garage doors never worked properly and when we called Domic to come and fix them, he left every time without a proper fix. The whole track fell out of the ceiling and he came to fix it and again STILL the door wouldnt go up and down! He emailed to say he wasnt capable of fixing it even though we had already paid him. He is rude and terribly unprofessional!!!

I have had dealings with Dominck and they are not good.He is rude, unprofessional and arrogant. There are plenty of nice garage door repair places around . No need to deal with this type of personality, with so many choices.

Never use this rude unprofessional company. I had Rissland out to take a look at my garage door that had broken over the weekend. After arriving 2 hours late they proceeded to tell me that if I did not order a new door or go ahead with the repair todayI was going to be charged for a service call for their first visit, plus a service call when they came out again. When I informed him I was not told that I was going to have to pay for a service call, I was yelled at by the repairman who stated. What do you think we all work for free? He then stormed off.

What the hell happend to these guys!!!! Came out and did some work on my garage. I paid $500 and then tried calling them back to service the work as it needed adjusting. I called 5 times, no joking, I left 5 messages and heard NOTHING from them ever again.Surprised by this and very dissappointed.

They fleeced a retired old couple for $300 to install a radio set for the garage door opener. The remote ( radio set) which they installed is not even compatible with the garage door opener. The garage door has been opening on its own since they installed the radio set. I have left 3 voice mails but have not heard back from them. It is under warranty but I am not able to get in touch with them as they dont respond back. I would ask people to stay away from this company.

Unprofessional. Dont return calls or emails. Asked for an estimate. They came. And left. All attempts to follow up with then is met with unanswered emails and phone call.

I had a special need for a custom garage door. The owner came out and personally worked on the issue and found away to make the garage door functional again. Rissland was the only company that wanted to take the extra time to work this problem out. Thank you again to the owner and I would give their phone number to anyone who needed a repair or installation.

Horrible service. Replaced a door motor and springs and charged nearly $1000 and within 4 months it has issues and when I call to ask for help, they say it is only guaranteed for 1 month and I said it could be the motor, but they said they would still need to charge and when I objected, I was told to go elsewhere and hung up on. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

I called Rissland when I needed a repair. The repairman rang the doorbell, but my husband did not hear the bell. When I called to re-schedule, I was told never to call again.Although I am sorry that this happened, the repairman had our phone number and never tried to call.
