I was very pleased with the friendliness of Emilio and John. When I went to the truck it said a tire was low and John put air in it for me. Great attention to detail and they answered all my questions patiently.
One of the worst experiences I have ever had with the store manager today . I have used this location many times for truck rentals and even referred my friends and family to this location. The store manager Terry or something like that would not help me out when I needed to use the door closer to my unit to move out of the unit as I am paying movers to move it is triple the walk and time to use the other door . She kept saying “I’m the store manager and I say no” very unprofessional . I managed a retail store for 6 years and if it’s possible to help a customer that is loyal and brings in business that is what you do. She doesn’t deserve the title she has & this location needs new management. All 15+ people I have referred to this location will never return and make sure to tell their friends and family not to as well. I highly suggest you do not use this uhaul as the store manager is on a power trip and doesn’t care about the customer only cares about sitting in her chair in the office . Probably didn’t want to help because she didn’t want to put in the effort and walk out there . So disappointed I will be escalating this to HR and further .
I’ve never interacted with a more inconsiderate store manager before. After a long day of moving back and forth, hiring movers to assist us, we were ready to simply move all of our things out of an indoor storage unit that happened to be towards the end of the indoor building, literally a couple of feet away from the emergency exit rather than the “one way in, one way out” exit. Keep in mind that I am paying by the hour for movers, but the store manager refused to let us use the exit and now my movers are having to load everything all the way down to the other side of the building. Not only did we ask politely, but we knew that it was possible to use the emergency exit door because when we moved the stuff in the first time, that’s exactly what we did with another much more empathetic, professional manager that understands that the customer experience should be the top priority. The cherry on top of it all was the managers attitude towards us. I’m not sure if she was upset that I was leaving and no longer a customer, but even as a departing customer I should be treated with respect. It’s no wonder why there are so many other negative reviews from this location. I will not be referring any of my friends or family to this location any longer.
DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT visit this location. I came in today 2/8/21 in the morning and the black guy working there was horrible to me. I told him I would be back and needed to get something and jumped in my car and drove off as fast as I could. Sir you definitely are in the wrong field. You need to be working somewhere you don’t interact with people.
I was told on every form what time to pick up my equipment. On none of those forms was I told what time to return it, just the day to return it. I returned it a couple of hours late even though they never gave me a time, and they charged me for an entire day, plus insurance.Bad business.
Employees are cordial enough but I was put off by the fact only one out of five was wearing a mask, they have a notice on the door to wear masks. I dont like wearing a mask but do so out of respect for others. Im mad at myself for not saying anything to them and going somewhere else but what are you going to do. When I came back to drop off the trailer I rented I was told they had used the wrong trailer number on the paper work but the girl that helped me texted the next shift of her mistake. It would have created problems if I had an accident...
I am writing to file a complaint and to see if there is anything that we can do. I had an appointment setup this morning to have a brake controller installed on my SUV. The appointment time was at 10:15 AM. This was at the location in Cedar Hill Texas. The address is 1050 Kck Way, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. My wife brought the car on time and was told that they were not expecting her. They then were able to find the reservation but said it would take another 45 minutes for them to start working on it. She was frustrated but went to another store to run an errand and came back at 11:00. The mechanic said that he was very busy. She went into the inside store to inquire if there is any update and they told her there was nothing they could do, and that my wife could try to find one of the mechanics and check with them. I really do not understand that request. Why is it her responsibility to talk to them. We are leaving today to go out of town and are not able to get the work done. I tried to call the store, it just rang, and then I was connected to the regional office. They texted the GM for me to receive a call back, but I still have not received one. This whole situation
LIKE FAMILY: I went in on 7/23/2018 to secure a moving vehicle as well as a storage area. The kind GM along with a great Manager met me with enormous smiles. I arrived in a happy mood already, and my heart was moved that much more once I experienced such warm individuals. They both were working together in such harmony; one had the plan and the other had the computer. 😅The guys listened attentively to what my needs were, and far exceeded my expectations when it came to the truck and storage. 👍🏽 Not one mistake! During our conversations, the Manager began to give hauling recommendations with my own vehicle. He called out the KIND of vehicle I was driving. That told me a LOT. These guys are watching! (Our items are SAFE at this place. 🙌🏽)So, I dropped off somethings ahead of my move on 7/24/2018 (as suggested by the Manager). I was greeted at the unit with smiles AGAIN, and some unexpected assistance. I was shown how to operate the door, locking mechanism, and my lock too! I was speechless while experiencing this unexpected (yet friendly & useful) demonstration. It came in handy too! 😂 Upon entering the unit? A homely aroma filled the atmosphere inside. Unbelievable! It truly felt great and smelled like 🌺🌺 . Oh! The unit was CLEAN! 🙏🏽 I knew what to do, and we were IN and OUT. 😎 The property is very organized, and easy to maneuver. I would HIGHLY recommend this location. 👈🏽 If you’re not sure what you’re doing. You’ll feel super confident at departure! 💯💪🏽
At first everything was good. When I received the truck I was informed it had a half of tank of gas, only to discover it was only a fourth tank of gas. I told to store clerk and was sent an updated contact. I returned the truck with the same amount of gas in it, but on today was charged an extra 77 dollars. Now no one is answering the phone. I will be paying them a visit

UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT. Had a communication issue that resulted in additional costs being accrued. Aaron made a personal effort to resolve the situation in an agreeable fashion and I am very pleased with the results. Thank you for taking the time to build customer satisfaction.
Called one rainy day and asked about propane refill. I was told no problem on the phone. When I arrived I was told that they dont do propane refills in any inclement weather. It was not storming at this point, just a light rain.I then had to prove the GM that I called and what time I had called using my phone log. I guess me saying I had talked to an employee before driving 40 minutes round trip in the rain wasnt good enough.I did get an apology but thats really not good enough. I would think all employees would know their rules and if its not pouring or lightening why they are refusing business.
This uHaul stole $150+ out of my bank account before Christmas and the money is still not back in my account. It’s been 2 weeks and I keep getting the run around from the employees at the store and the corporate number they provided.Constant promises of “your money will be back in 3-5 business days” but it never actually happens.They don’t care that I couldn’t buy my daughter a birthday cake for her birthday or that I couldn’t pay my credit card on time because of their error.Absolutely ridiculous.
How many times does someone have to tell this location to NOT CALL A SPECIFIC number unless its an emergency. After several stressful days of a family Illness that required hospitalization, I come home to my parents house just as this location is calling me, for a non emergency. The girl I spoke with, who was a lot nicer than the last one that called a while ago, said that she saw no notation of my request even though I specifically stated it when I moved in and twice since then, excluding this time. When I first moved in the service was great but it has become absolute crap. Having worked in storage before, if a customer says DO NOT CALL, you respect that wish.
This was the fifth time that I went to this U-Haul. It is a new location and the employees here were always polite and very helpful. Today was a completely different story. I arrived at 1:40pm. My husband went inside and after 10 minutes came back out. He informed me that no one was there and he had noticed a note on the counter reading out on lot, use radio to contact me. He used the radio and received no response.I asked him to stay with our car and kids and I went towards the propane area where I had noticed an employee assisting two men since we had arrived. I approached him and asked politely if he was the only one working. He barked at me a very angry yes. And so I waited. And waited. And then when the two men left, the employee (shirt said General Manager), walked away from me without one word and headed towards the office. I stood there in shock. He had completely ignored me.When he was about 30 feet away, I yelled out to him that I needed his help. So he turned around and yelled What you cant follow me!My mouth dropped open. Am I your dog?! I responded. At this point I began walking towards my car. I turned back towards him, and reminded him of the many times I had come by here and this time, this particular person was a complete ass.NEVER AGAIN. I went down the road off of Hwy 67 to Budget and rented the truck I needed for cheaper!I will get my boxes from now on from Home Depot for half the price. Small boxes are only $0.69 at Home Depot. Double at this U-Haul.What a disrespectful human being! There was no need to be so rude. I was patient and waited 21 minutes from him to treat me like a dog. What a joke!
This is a busy place but Marcus and the other guy... sorry for not having his name did a great job of getting me in and out. Please be patient these guys will take care of you. The equipment was clean and ready to go at a great price... Thanks guys for your hard work.
Great and friendly folks. Had made reservation for a car hauler trailer to be picked up at another location in Duncanville. When I was there and paperwork was being filled out the price totaled about $200 more than what was quoted. I told them to forget it and walked out. Called the number for this location and was set up with what I was quoted with a $25 discount for my trouble. Picking up the trailer was quick and easy. Can not praise these folks enough.
Was very upset with U-Haul !!! until these wonderful people came through for me! U-haul needs more people like these people in their services. I cant say how much help they was with getting my orders right and done an out standing installing my 2 hitch for my 5 x 8 trailer they restored my faith in U-Haul again... Wonderful work they did for me.
Moving 2 kids to college and needed a trailer. Scheduling online made visit very short, quick and convenient. And return was just as simple, didnt spend more than $26 and had a full day.
If you go here, make sure you read the contract. My spouse and I picked up a UHaul truck. We wanted to drop the truck off at a location near our moving spot. Weve rented trucks before, but we never experienced dishonest staff. What they failed to tell us is that it would cost more if we didnt bring the truck back to the original rental pick up location. Everyone knows that when you are moving, you want to do so in the best economical way. We took the truck back to the original rental location and they almost refused to give us the amount owed for bringing it back to their location. He had to call the toll free number in order to get money returned.
The guy that was working when I went to rent a truck had a very poor attitude. He seemed like he didn’t want to be there at all. When I tried asking questions, he sighed and then answered the question like it was an inconvenience. The truck was fine. No issues there. Except that I was double charged my initial charge and charged an additional day when I shouldn’t have been. When I called about the $367 in charges put on my bank account, the guy I think his name was aaron, cut me off while I was trying to explain to him what happened. It was like what happened to me was an inconvenience for him, but you’d think I just sh*t in his spaghetti. He didn’t want to listen to me and told me to call the uhaul 1800 number. When their failed promises were called out and I made contact with them again a week later, I got the same ol “sir everything has been refunded back to your account, we can’t do anything else” even though it had not been refunded. They were in no rush to get my money back and this happened on December 19th. It is now January 11th and the money that was supposed to be refunded on the 21st of December is still not back in my account. Looks like I’ll be renting with enterprise for moving trucks, or Penske or anyone other than uhaul. Such a shame too. I’ve used them for the past 10 years.
Clayton delivered excellent customer service and the rest of the crew was courteous and on point. Best experience with uhaul Ive ever had, hands down.

I was quoted a price for a trailer hitch install of $65. When I showed up for my appointment a week later they said I spoke to a pajama person and the quote was wrong. They also said the dont do trailer hitch installs if they dont sell you the hitch. Nice job uhaul.
This was by far the worst place to ever rent from. I will sure take my business else where next time!!
I would never recommend anyone to this u-haul in cedar hill off of highway 67.I wouldnt even give them 1 star.If you pay in cash they have you swipe your debit card and they say it doesnt effect your bank account.I rented a truck in the beginning of September.Paid every thing in cash.And now there is 10 different transaction anywhere from $1-3 on my bank account that added up to $25.00When I called to ask why they couldnt tell me.Now I have to call my bank and report it, so I can get my damn money back.
Had to go out of town to pick up a car from a custom paint shop. made reservations online got to uhaul an even though it showed they had what i wanted not only at 1 store but 3 no store had the truck and trailer that i reserved it was showing in their system that each store had it but they ddnt. i couldnt make it to get my car and ended up having to pay $900 in storage fees an uhaul could not accommodate me. an me an my family has done business with uhaul for years but they have lost my business
This place has the worse customer service ever, ever.... first they never pick up the phone, you speak with an answering service that had to email them, even when you are stuck inside the gate trying to get out. Thank God we moved out...

Larry Franklin has decided that because whoever in Customer Service didnt add our reservation to the system, he would charge us an additional 100 dollar fee (not in the policy) and the amount for an additional day. This guy yelled the entire time. My wife and I rented storage space and a small truck and needed additional time.This Larry Franklin guy says that he is the General Manager and noone had the authority to tell him if he could or couldnt charge my card the extra 100 dollars that is not in any legal policy at UHaul. As a paying customer with several storages and a 1 DAY rental one would think that he would at least attempt to be respectful towards existing customers.Needless to say, I reached out to Kevin Harless and also the President of Uhaul to see if they are supporting this guy who is legally stealing money from Paying customers, because he is angry for whatever reason.If you are a customer at the facility lets make this post go viral so it makes to the Uhaul execs so someone can take a look at this Larry Franklin guy who claims he has all authority to overcharge customers.

I drove from Memphis to Texas, turned it in two days early. They charged my card twice, wrong amounts. Charged me for turning in two days late. The manager said he check. A month ago.
