South side pizzeria definitely lives up to their name. The pizza was some of the best Ive ever had. Great sauce and cheese is the secret to Chicago style pizza along with the right type of crust. They nailed it. I would absolutely recommend going there. Staff was great and I will be going back for more.

All the salad bar items are store bought. The packaged salad mix had some brown edges.The chicken is ok. The pizza bland. The mashed potatoes are not homemade and neither is the gravy. Dessert offerings is pound cake and strawberries...no other choices. Wont be back.

This is what pizza is supposed to taste like! I havent had pizza like this in 30 years just like the old south side Italians used to make. Fast, great tasting and drive up window to pick up.

Pizza was good last time I had it. I tried to order today but dont bother trying to order food at 930 even though they close at 10 they wont answer the phone. When I worked at a restaurant we stopped taking orders at the time we say we closed and work till all orders are out after that. Just say you close at 930.

Get there early for the salad bar, as once the soup is gone at 6.30 its gone. There is always the brown salad to munch on and the suspect tomatoes. Had the beer battered cod, I am convinced it came from GFS. Must remember to only eat their chicken and pizza if I ever go back.

Have ordered from Southside a few times and have been disappointed every time. Ive given them the benefit of the doubt and have tried them a few times, because bad days happen to everyone, but no more. Food arrived wrong the first time then when I called to let them know the lady who always answers the phone was rude. My food has arrived cold, every single time and I literally live 5mins from them...and NOT ONCE has the lady answering the phone said thank you and goodbye before just hanging up on you. Lots of other pizza places in Cedar Lake, do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere, where you will be valued!!

I was told 45 mins.....pizza was at door in 22. Was absolutely incredible! If anyone ever grew up near Hammond, Calumet City......Southside will remind you of mouth watering, greasy Stateline Pizza from yesteryear! When I first moved here from Calumet City in 2001, best we could do was frozen DeGornios...thank you Southside!!!!!!!!!!! Everyone from the person answering your order to delivery will be a joy to work with!
