Great first impression. I recently signed up with ProTex because it was the system recommended by my builder. So far I have no complaints. My security consultant accommodated to my busy schedule to visit and walk me through the system features, and provided a detailed presentation within a reasonable time frame. Overall, my questions were answered and my home security needs were addressed. The monthly rate is a plus in comparison to other providers Ive had in the past, and all including the latest security tech options on the market!

Hello my name is Richard. The team at ProTex Technologies did a new security system installation in my house. Since the house was prewired they were able to provide me a good deal on a new alarm system and monitoring. When Daniel the technician came out he was friendly and detailed in making sure all my questions were answered before he left. Wes was the sales representative and he helped me understand what was going to be included in the security system and the remote app for my phone. I could tell Wes was able to provide many more products and services but was not demanding with them. I feel that it would be easy for me to expand my security system and other residential AV products from ProTex in the future. I recommend them as being fair and willing to understand your needs with the latest technology.

I just bought a new home and did a lot of research on alarm systems. I decided to go with Pro Tex because they are a hands on smaller company with better customer service. They explained everything about my system, contract, etc. up front. James was very professional and answered every question I asked to my satisfaction. The installer was on time, very professional (put on slippers over his shoes so not to dirty my new home) and explained the system and its features. I am very happy with my decision and recommend Pro Tex to anyone that asks. And to top it off, I am helping AMERICANS keep their jobs!! All their systems are built right here in the USA. RL

We recently renovated a media room in our house. We decided that we wanted to go all out - big built-in with lots of storage, huge TV and audio system to do the TV and space justice. So, we got in touch with Wes from ProTex. He came out at the beginning of the project to talk through all of our needs/wants, lined those up with our listening/viewing preferences, gave his professional input and came up with an audio solution that sounded like what we needed.During the time between the renovation and installation of the audio system, Wes consistently made himself available to questions about the products we selected, how we were going to lay things out, etc. He even offered to talk with our carpenter to ensure that his measurements would jive with Wes measurements.Wes approach was fantastic and the way he carried himself throughout the project was awesome. Hes not the least bit over-bearing but hes certainly willing to share his opinions on things. We appreciated his honesty.When it came time to install, Wes and his team showed up with everything they needed, including the new Marantz receiver we bought (more on that in a bit). His guys installed everything perfectly, including the TV (I was beyond worried about this one getting dropped ;) ). Wes then spent time calibrating the audio and walking us through everything once he was done. They were the last step in our media room project so we go to enjoy it immediately!So, overall, fantastic job by the ProTex team and Wes, in particular. However, the main reason this is a 5 star review is what happened a few weeks ago. I was poking around the Marantz website and noticed that the newest version of our receiver was due out in early August. We had just spent some decent money on this with ProTex, so we were a little concerned that we were now sitting on something that was already old. I called up Wes and boy did he come through. He offered to swap out the receiver AND re-calibrate, all at no charge. They absolutely did not need to do this, but the fact that they did speaks volumes (no pun intended) to the level of service we got by working with ProTex.Thanks Wes!

Our experience with ProTex and the team has been good. We moved into a new community and after talking with a few other security companies decided to go with the company who installed the system in our new home. They were prompt in coming out to talk to us and get us up and running.

I wanted to write a review on the character of the owner of this company Gregory Peninger. I recently did the paperwork for Greg on his new vehicle and made a mistake that could have cost the dealership I work for $2000.00. Greg had a signed contract that would have let him capitalize on my mistake. He elected to do what was right instead of take advantage of someones mistake. I know that Greg runs this business on the same principles. The world needs more people like this! Thank you Greg for doing the right thing even when it costs you money!Dave Kerr

Never ever going with them again. They installed Home theater in my house worth $8K saying everything is under warranty for 3 years now after 1 year my HDMI wasnt working and my sub woofer wasnt working and they are charging $125 for trip charge everytime they come in check. Which wasnt told at time of installation. not trustworthyUpdate: Thank you for your reply Greg. I spoke to 3 different people from your office since morning and everybody talks like there is nothing called warranty and blah blah rather than just trying to understand and help me out. I wish they told me same thing when they were installing it.Overall if you ask me totally disappointed

They keep reporting my review since its true. I am veteran and havent been treated worse than by this company. You provide your own vehicle, gas, tools, and materials. They give you $250 every 2 weeks for gas but most of the employees end up paying out of pocket.They are fluctuating pay under table which is ILLEGAL. They have a lawsuit against them for stealing money from employees. They will not train you so if you make a mistake, youll be back charged. They have you clock out as soon as you leave a property. If your in San antonio, have fun driving back for free. Aaron tried forcing me to sign a pay waiver so I couldnt sue, when I said I wouldnt, he cussed me out. I was paid an extra $700 to keep my mouth shut. They are going out of business so trying to rack up as much money as possible even if it includes poor work done or stealing money.

ProTex were our builders preferred vendor for most of the wiring and home security. As we had a number of problems with the construction and build of our home we were... dubious.... about working with them. We did our homework and got several quotes before deciding to go with ProTex. For us it came down to the low-pressure, highly informative service we got from Wes (our representative). He listened to what our security concerns were and then made reasonable suggestions. During the discussions about our security system, we discovered they could also help with our audio and home theatre solutions. All very competitively priced, and with plenty of thoughtful assistance. When Wes didnt know an answer to one of our questions he said so, went and researched and then came back to us. We found that other companies were inclined to guess, or promised to get back and never did. There was no pressure to get the most out of us or to find solutions at the top of our budget, instead everything was very considered and the pros and cons of options at multiple levels were clearly explained. Yes, we could have done everything we did cheaper, but it would have required the headache of multiple vendors, and less reputable companies. Weve been with them now for several months and have found the monitoring service to be extremely polite, and efficient. Cant recommend them enough!

Without a doubt, the easiest security systems team I have ever dealt with. Wes Beauchamp should be cloned! Security system, as well as the AV system, both were explained and walked through, leaving no question unanswered. Even ones I did not know to ask. Office staff gives a new definition to customer service. Put that word back in the dictionary! Look no further than Pro-Tex. Local company with hands down quality service and way more competitive pricing than the behemoths ADT.

Definitely the worst company to deal with. I have never been more humiliated in my life by my boss. When I ask him about a serious concern, and he simply reply by saying; IF YOU DONT LIKE IT GO FLIP HAMBURGERS AT MCDONALDS (now that I think about it, I would make same or even more money there). I dont have a good thing to say about this company.This person (Aaron) it is so disrespectful that there is a worst case than mine, which I wont mention because this person still works there. I wont put this work experience on my resume, because if I do that, it would down grade it. This is one of those where no one is happy and everyone is looking for another job. The paying system is horrible, it is in their hands how much youre gonna make (which you never know what youll be making youre just hoping for the best).I am looking for professional help in this matter, you cant treat people that way and have no consequences, and if there are none.Well shame on our LAW that wont stand up for us. I know you have a perfect answer and a great speech for everything, save it. This time I dont have time for it.04/09/15The big reason I did not came and talk to you was; I knew that i wasnt gonna receive my last check. You need to get involved more with your employees, especially the ones you say theyve been there for over 10 years. I dont know who you are talking about, if every one is so new to the company. Out of that photo you have on your web side there is only 2 left as installers ( and trust me they hate it there). Everything (Aaron) says it is a lie. Did you knew he told me that, if i did not returned my licensed within 12 business days, I was gonna get a fine between 10,000 and 12,000? He also told me that the DPS request them back. Came to find out he was lying again. I called them, and visit their office to request information on that matter. Turns out they dont care if they get them back, if they do they shred them. They only ask you in the termination form, if you will be returning them. You have a serious matter in your company, that youre not even aware of it and I am 100% sure that could make you loose builders. I just want you to know that I have nothing agains you personally. All my dislikes are to the company and Aaron. That man does not know how to run a business. If you could only hear what people say behind his back. While I was working there ( 3 months). I knew of 5 people that left the company, and knew about other 5 that could not stand to get to the office. I did not met an employee that liked Aaron and that should tell you a lot. I talk to at least 4 techs and Aaron lie to them to get them to take the job ( same thing he did with me). I am going to leave you with a question, which you dont have to tell me the answer, because I know it and i doubt you do. Have you seen the quality of work of your top techs?

ProTex was extremely pushy about installing their home security system at our house. They visited us on several occasions to push their home security system, since it came pre-installed with the home we purchased. They left us a flyer indicating that if we chose to go with another security contractor, it would void the home warranty provided by the home builder. We contacted our home builder directly and they immediately denied this claim by Protex, indicating that we could go with any security company of our choice without voiding our home warranty. Protex LIED and is using bullying and scare tactics to get customers to sign up for their services. DO NOT SIGN ON WITH THIS ORGANIZATION, they are cheats and liars.
