During these trying times customer service is really important. TSI did not disappoint. They were quick to repair my laptop and repair was reasonably priced. I really like to support local businesses and will recommend and use TSI in the future.

I’m a young female student. Unfortunately this is important. I took my laptop for a frame work replacement- my laptop was FULLY FUNCTIONAL. Several weeks later with this place, there was no sign of recovery for my computer. I received little updates and was the only one actively involved in communicating progress. The only time he initiated contact was to up-sell me over priced items to fix the growing list of problems that he was “finding”. When I reminded him of my small budget he became less interested in helping me.One of the times I tried picking up my “fixed” laptop, he had no idea where it was and had lost my charger. By the time he found it I felt very uneasy about his capability so I stayed in the parking lot to find my computer wouldn’t turn on. I was refused a refund and was yelled at for requesting better customer service.It wasn’t until my father came with me (over a months worth of waiting later) that he stopped giving me attitude (yes he tried giving me attitude in front of my Dad and was immediately shut down) and suddenly- the laptop was fixed later that afternoon. Was my laptop fixed in the end? Yes. Would I have gotten it if fixed, if not for bringing in a grown man with me? Probably not.I’ve worked in the service industry for a long time and I hate the idea of mistreating small business. So, when I say I tried to be very patient and nice with him, I mean it. But the lack of customer support and gaslighting here is astronomical.

Mike found my computers problem in less than 2 hours and contacted me to explain the suggested repair. I gave him the authorization to proceed. My computer was ready the next day in great working order. I have taken other computers to TSI for repair and I find his company responsive, professional and his price is of good value. If I have future computer issues, I will go back to TSI.

My laptop screen had bad static and horizonal lines and was unusable. Mike fixed it in two business days without issue. Works great and runs like new. Responded to my texts when I asked for updates. I would use him again.

They did a great job repairing my laptop. It works great. Only downside was it took a very long time. This was said to be due to covid and the difficulty of getting parts from China. But again my laptop is working great.

Absolutely horrible experience with this shop. I had an unfortunate accident with my Apple MacBook and spilled coffee over the keyboard while working from home. I shut the computer down immediately with it, amazingly enough, still working and dried up the coffee with paper towels and rushed it over to this shop to have it looked at, fingers crossed that it could be saved.I was told $150 to put the computer through their cleaning system that consisted of a nearly 100% alcohol bath and then drying in a special oven. I was told initially that it would be ready in 1 to 2 days. Nearly a week went by and I had to personally go into the store to see what was going on. But this delay is not my primary frustration.When the computer was finally ready, I was told the total was nearly $270 with taxes. When I responded that I had only brought it in for a cleaning job and that I was quoted $150 for the total cost, the representative I was working with went to the back and told Mike, who I am assuming is the store owner and who I was dealing with, and I overheard him saying to just change the price to $150. Supposedly some kind of keyboard cable was added to my bill. I thought this behavior was extremely sketchy. However, that is STILL now my primary issue with this business.At the end of the day, when I received my computer, it was not salvageable. The screen was completely messed up and the computer was not usable. After my suspicions had already been peaked about this business, I decided to investigate a little further, as I was told I did everything right by turning off the computer immediately and I spoke with an electrician that confirmed that the computer could have been saved if completely powered down prior to major damage being done.The computer had a sticky feel to it, and was not even closed all the way properly when I received it, so I invested the $7 on Amazon to purchase the special tool required to open the computer up. I have attached a picture of the coffee stains on the inside of the computer, and a very strong coffee smell immediately hit me upon opening the computer. I am not sure how you can completely clean a computer and still have obvious coffee stains and a strong coffee smell coming from the computer. It is my true belief that this computer was never touched, and now not only did I waste the $150, I have a broken $1,000+ computer.I am a small business owner as well in the local community. This is the last type of expense I needed at this time. I never write bad reviews, but in this case, I wanted to do what I could to make sure someone else does not experience what I did. Please think twice and seriously consider your options when entrusting your equipment with this business. I will be filing an official BBB complaint against this business as well. This has been one of the most unprofessional business encounters I have had since going into business many years ago. Very unfortunate.

The people here are so nice and they’re so helpful! They know how to treat their customers right and they know their stuff. This had to be the fastest and most simple computer repair Ive had done. I brought in my Dell computer that was having hard drive trouble and unable to save anymore data. I came in about 30 mins before closing to drop off my computer and was quickly added to their system that keeps you updated with your computers status. I got a text from their system that my computer was ready for pickup. Brought it back to my office and Im impressed with how quickly its running. Just like the day we bought it. Thank you Michael for your great service. Something that youd never get at Best Buy. Support small business. They are faster, more affordable, and wont try to oversell you!

My mom had spilled her soup on the computer. I asked TSI if they could fix or retrieve the hard drive because there were very special photos my mom had of the family in there. They weren’t able to fix the laptop which I figure because it was submerged and it took so long to take it in. TSI was able to get the hard drive and give me a usb copy of what was in the hard drive. We lost my older brother a couple months ago and my mom had all these pics of him and the family together. This meant the world to her to receive this. I can’t thank y’all enough how you helped my family and I on doing this. God bless y’all

I called ahead of time to make sure they could do exactly what I needed them to. I was told on the phone that it would be no problem, but when I got there it was a different story. On the phone, I was quoted a price range for replacing a specific part that I wanted replaced on a specific model laptop; I was told that when it was brought in, the quote could be made exact before any work was done. Once I got to the store, I was told I had to pay $40 for them to look at my computer, before determining if they could do any work to it. The computer is working just fine, I simply wanted a licensed toshiba maintenance facility to replace a single part(fan). It is disappointing that a place like this is a service center for such amazing computers.And as I sit in the parking lot writing this, the repairman for the shop is smoking a cigarette in the doorway of the business with no protective mask (COVID and all). And I thought smoke was bad for computers? But I’m not the expert.

4.5 Great shop and Mike knows his stuff. TSI was prompt, communicated well, diagnosed right, and repaired it. The best way to find out the true nature of someone, or business, is to see how they overcome an issue, whether its their fault or their suppliers. Mike made sure I was operational until the correct parts were delivered, at which time he completed the work. I have managed complex projects over my 30-year career, so I know results, and I am not easily impressed. I will go back to Mike for my computer issues and recommend you try him.

Mike managed to fix up my laptop fairly well for how bad it was messed up. I had the hinge and the top half (screen, bezel, shell, etc.) replaced due to poor design from the manufacturer. The pricing was fair and the turnaround time was alright for the holiday season. A little lacking in communication, but you cant have everything and it all worked out so Im happy with the result.

They were very helpful. My son is in med school and was home studying for board exams when his computer began blue screening. This was an emergency for us. So I frantically started making calls. One call I was told to buy a new computer. Other calls said that they could not get to it for over a week. But he will be back in Houston taking his exam by then. TSI was very understanding and took it in immediately knowing that this was an emergency for us. It is great to see a business that actually cares about the customer! Most computer shops are too into themselves and how brilliant they are. This is a business that speaks and brags very little and is big on action. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone! Yea...dont go here. I am not even one to write reviews but this one deserved it. Nice guy and a great scammer. I go to college and have very little income and unfortunately cracked my Chromebook laptop. I went in and the guy said that it would range from $50-$75 to replace the SCREEN (that is all I wanted). He told me to text the system for updates, whatever. He said it would be done within a few days. A few days passed and I tried texting the system. No response for a few days. I figured that the guy probably didnt see it or it was a glitch or something, so I copied and sent the same message over again the next day. Nothing. I waited a few more days and started to get angry so I sent the same message 3 more times and waited... nothing. So I ended up calling and the guy said he was busy could I text the system. Irritated, I just said okay and hung up the phone. My mom called and he did the same thing except she made sure that he had her number and he promised to call her right back... nothing. The next day, I actually DROVE to the store and asked him myself. He said that the parts were hard to find and that the mail was taking a while. I said acknowledged him kindly and left. At that point I just gave up trying to check the process of my laptop. A few more days passed and he finally texts me and says I am proud to say that your laptop has been fixed. I got to the register and he said that the price was $281.97... I was shocked!!! How did it jump from $75 to near $300 (near what I paid for the laptop)??? I needed my laptop and ended up paying this outrageous amount. He said that the price was so high because the parts were hard to find and they did not sell the screen separately so he had to replace the whole panel. I came back home bummed and did some research. The very first search I did was Chromebook touchscreen replacements and sure enough the second link had what I needed...$34... amazon for $99 maximum. And my new laptop panel is scratched.The bottom line is DO NOT GO HERE! I feel like I was taken advantage of with the pricing and and the time it took. I am not satisfied. I am also not satisfied that every really bad experience on the reviews has a justifiable excuse when there shouldnt be one.

Mike (and his employees) are bad news. After bringing in my Apple laptop computer for a basic battery change, Mike not only didnt install the battery correctly, he actually damaged my laptop to the point that I had to open a fraud complaint through my credit card company. Luckily, my CC company takes good care of their customers. So, my CC company rightly sided with me, and they forced Mike to issue me a full refund. Mike and TSI are downright shady; some might even consider Mikes behavior to be outright criminal. This is an amateur, unprofessional operation. Stay far away from TSI Computer Repair!

I highly recommend TSI! When I called to get an estimate on the repair of my all in one computer, I was given quoted fairly and even given advice to purchase my own parts and bring them in because it would be cheaper for me overall! It took one whole day to repair my computer and I couldnt be happier with the service, professionalism and politeness.

Computer was turning on but not booting up. After doing much research took it to TSI to see whats wrong with it because I did not have the time to tinker with it. First I was excited because they have a portal where they can communicate with the customer regarding the progress of the repair. I was told they will run the diagnostic and I will have an answer in two days. I waited for 4 days. Heard nothing. Then when I decided to call I was told it most possibly a motherboard issue. But they mentioned they need to do more testing so I waited more. After two more days I decided to visit the shop. Then I was told the motherboard has to be replaced and If I would like they can give me a quote for a motherboard replacement. I asked when I can have the machine back. They said after they send me the quote next week they will be able to fix it in 3-4 days assuming my approval for the quote happens on the same day they send it. ... 7 days later I was still waiting for the quote. When i finally decided to call out of frustration I was told that they sent me the email already and I probably never got it. But I never got an email. Then I decided to go pick up my machine on the same day because I was not seeing any progress. When I was there I asked the person at the shop to check if any emails were sent out to me with a quotation for a motherboard. He said he doesnt see any in their system. He said even though I didnt get any services done from them he will talk to Mike and send me a report of all the diagnostics that have been done on my system. I was happy about that and paid the $40 diagnostic fee and left..... I waited 2 weeks before writing this review hoping Ill hear back from them. Finally decided to write this because I never even got that.Overall Im very disappointed in the service. I understand they have a lot of work. But I appreciate honesty over false deadlines. Tell me it takes 3 - 4 weeks if it does. Not 5 days.After reading all / most of the reviews one thing I understand is that when it comes to hardware replacement they arent the best place to go to ( Personal Opinion ) . As a computer engineer I expected to take most of my machines here for repair. After this experience I definitely will avoid this place in the future.

My experience was amazing! My laptop got wet and I took it to Mike to see if it could be saved. Most of my tech savvy friends said my laptop was probably unrepairable...Mike assured me that was not the case. He was very friendly and kept me up to date on how the job was going. That was a huge plus in my book, I didnt have to keep calling to see what was going on..The price was fair and no extra hidden fees...I would defiantly recommend TSI to anyone who needs repair work..

Mike is a great guy. He is always looking to put customers first. I have had 2 laptops fully repaired by him and they worked like a charm. He also took the time to help me out with a issue i had with building a new computer and didnt even charge me for his time. If you have computer Issues Mike will treat you right.

Gave him a shot. Huge mistake! Had a laptop with a bad motherboard or power supply but I wanted someone to diagnose and see which, then order the part and install it. A new laptop would be about $500. A replacement mother board is about $80 so it seemed like a decent plan and I didnt have time to work on it myself.1. Never called us back once he had the computer2. Kept it for 2 months3. Even though it was a simple fix (I eventually replaced mob for $80), he never could figure it out.4. He returned it to us in PIECES telling us it was toast... (Idiot)5. It was missing pieces when we got it back6. Likes to say hes forgotten more about IT than other IT guys know, yet failed to fix something that I myself figured out and fixed in a few days!!Lots of similar experiences on Yelp. Check him first people!Bottom line: This guy is a total dipshit! He is an unqualified, unprofessional, incompetent moron and has no business running any kind of business especially involving computer repair. My advice, look around. There are plenty of good techs in the area. This is Austin. Half the people on the street could fix your PC. This guy.... no way.

This is the second time that I have had to take my computer in for repairs. Have not had any issues with trying to get my 10 year old computer back up and running again with Mike.Mike was quick to be able to diagnose the problem and be able to understand what was needed to correct the situation. A couple of things were off when I got the computer back this time, gave Mike a call explained what was wrong and was able to get the computer back in and corrected quickly. Id like to share that TSI Computer Repair Services did a fantastic job in repairing my laptop. I am retired and do futures trading to suppliment my income. On Thursday morning my trading computer kept locking up and I wasnt able to find a workable solution online. I call several computer repair shops but all I got was recordings. Going down the list I got to TSI and Mike answered. He was friendly, professional and was only two blocks away from where I was. I took my computer in and he immediately got to work. Within 15 minutes I received a text telling me I would receive updates all along the way. Very impressed! Later in the afternoon they texted me and said I had a bad hard drive. He quoted the price to repair and they actually had it done later that afternoon. I cannot stress enough the professionalism and excellent customer service that I received. My Computer was hacked, over the phone they cared enough to tell me what to do before even bringing in my computer. Nobody likes to bring their computer in for repair. Ive brought mine to Mike twice now. The first time was to replace a hard drive. He replaced it quickly and at a fair price. The second was not so straight-forward - my virus protection software had become an instrument of Trojan viruses. The second repair took about a week; it was a puzzle Mike refused to give up on.Mike brought my computer back from the dead, installed new security software on it, and didnt charge me an arm and a leg. Highly recommend!

Spilled orange juice on my new laptop. Took it into TSI, he said it was a motherboard problem, and he would have to order a new motherboard. 2 weeks pass and not a single word, so I call and he says its taking a while for the part to come in. Thats fine, some things take a while. However, this continued for 5 MONTHS. Around month 2 he stopped taking my calls or responding to my emails. I had my parents go in since I was now living in another city and they got the same BS excuse. As you can guess the problem never got resolved. If you figure out you cant solve the issue, just tell the customer ASAP please, and not lead me on a 5 month goosechase. If I could rate negative stars I would.

Mike and TSI are the best computer PEOPLE Ive ever worked with. Being self employed you need that GO TO GUY who will be there when you need get the SYSTEM or PRINTER or whatever that big black box is and get ITto WORK. Mike and TSI are THAT GUY!! and as a business owner THAT GUY is priceless!!!

I dropped by to get a key fixed on my keyboard (the shift key had fallen off through over-use by my left thumb!). Mike was there, diligently working on somebody elses computer. He stopped what he was doing, popped the key back on, AND refused to take payment - all in the span of 4-5 minutes.I will definitely be back next time I have any kind of repair, minor or otherwise, to TSI Computer Repair. I freaked when my computer would not turn on. And my worst fears were confirmed - my motherboard was dead - ACK!I purchased a new laptop figuring I was in for that dreaded experience when you have to replace an electronic device (I mean, who hasnt had to reconfigure their phone at least once). Instead, TSI transferred all of my data such that signing on to my new laptop feels just like my old laptop, only better and faster.Great job TSI - I am so thankful and so relieved!I highly recommend.

I had a generic PC from about 2012 that I wanted to update to become a Backup Server. Mike ordered me a 500MB solid state drive for the C: drive and three 4TB Enterprise level drives that were RAIDED together to make a large D: drive. I picked up the box after Mike installed the drives, assuming it would be an easy breeze installing Server 2016, but Of course not! Since when did anything ever go smooth for me!! After a couple of install attempts getting the error disk read error it was time to hand it back over to the pros, my man Mike. Whatever the issue was, Mike got the OS installed and the backup server is now happily humming along as intended. TSI is the answer, people! -- Frank S Lago Vista

As an artist, my computer is my instrument, and you cant just trust ANYONE with your instrument. i have been to other computer shops over the years, mostly people looking to make a fast buck with little to street knowledge on computers.
