Kosel diagnosed my HVAC which was not blowing cold air. Kosel’s tech came out, said I was low on coolant, and said the cost to recharge with Puron R410A would be $300-$400 (max). Kosel spent 25 minutes recharging the HVAC, and then the tech called his dad (who owns the company). After calling dad, my bill was $560… 40% higher than the original $400 estimate. They charged me $80 per pound for 7 lbs of Puron… the tech said he actually didn’t even know how much Puron he added (so he called dad for pricing). Wholesale Puron goes for less than $10 per pound (google it if you like). Even though Kosel charged 40% more than their estimate, and confessed that they didn’t even know how much Puron was added, they acted like they were doing me a huge favor by only billing for the cost of Puron. Towards addressing the root cause, Kosel said my evap coil leaks and needs to be fixed. After trivial analysis, they said it would cost $3500 to replace (google for evap coil replacement cost… avg cost for 16 seer evap coil replacement is $2000). I am holding out for more reasonable pricing.

Great service. My heat pump was not switching to cool mode. Their technician called when he was on his way and arrived on time. He took his time diagnosing the problem as a faulty thermostats. He made it clear that there would be an additional charge to install a different thermostat before proceeding which I approved. Ill call Kosel AC & Heating for any future HVAC needs.

These guys are absolute lifesavers! We had our furnace break in the middle of the ice storm, they drove out and got us up and running when no other companies were working, and did it for a beyond reasonable price. Definitely recommend them for any HVAC needs.

Kosel said they would be here at 9 am and the technician was here promptly at 9am!!! He was thorough in his explanation and repair of our issue. And also provided (by email) a detailed summary of what services were completed. We will use them again without hesitation and will be telling our family and friends. The price could not be beat. Very impressed with them.

I cannot say enough about my entire experience! I relied on a company to come out, never showed, after they finally called me back they told me they could not come out until Monday and this was a Friday. So, needless to say I was frustrated, 2 older dogs, and my husband and I both work construction, there was no way I could imagine being in the heat for 3 days. I called the office at Kosel and treated me soooooo great ! I couldnt believe it. Heather was super kind and compassionate to our dilemma and checked on things and called me right back. I have a dual zone system that needed to be rebalanced as well as replacing a coil. It is evidently a pretty complicated system as I had a couple of people not want to work on it. Mr. Kosel gave me a precise analysis of work to be done, completed it on time, and made 3 follow up visits to tweak the balancing to the renters preferences. I am very happy with the work that they did, and I feel as if it was a great value for the money.

Mark arrived on time and was very professional and quick with our repair. He also discussed optionsthat were offered by Kosel for preventative maintenance if we decided that was an option for us.He discussed any future repairs that we might need. My thermostat was completely blank. I changed the batteries and checked the breakers and nothing. They came out within 2 hours and found the oxidized wire! He temporarily fixed until I get the new thermostat. Super friendly, knowledgeable and honest!
