Dissatisfied CustomerAT 7:02am Placed an online order BATTERY-RED TOP OPTMA for my 2017 Subaru Outback. I call the store at 1:03pm to confirm Installation at 4:00pm, I was given the Thumbs up 👍 by the representative on call. When I arrived at set time Robert W. Informed me he was the Only Representative in the store and could not perform the installation. Robert W. tried to remedy the situation by sending me up the block to his well known customers Tilden For Brakes Car Care Center to do the installation . The Battery was too small for my Vehicle, I returned the battery. While returning the battery (4:33pm) I noticed two other employees maning the store. When I confronted Robert W. Regarding the extra help he stated their working in a different part of the store. Hmm...🤔 STRANGE.This was a very displeasing experience!!

Called for a part was put on hold for about 5 minutes not a big deal but when they finally answered they hung up after 3 words, not great customer service at all, I would normally say youll get better service in person but I doubt its any better, dont waste your time with this location.

Bought a battery in this location several years ago and it seemed to be losing strength if I park my car for a couple of weeks. Brought it in spoke to Mike and he gave me a couple of diagnosis that could be wrong and charge the battery up at no cost. Seem to be very Upfront and honest. Would definitely go back to this location again.

In a time when everything can be ordered over the internet, the friendly staff and clean parking lot, have earned my repeat buisness. Even if they dont have it in stock...they get it by next day or even sometimes SAME DAY! I personally always look for the cheapest price, but because of the immensely helpful staff at the Centereach location...I will only shop there. Bravo to Advanced Auto parts for staffing such professional, courteous, knowledgeable gentleman. Thank you Bob and Dennis. Ill see you guys for my next project.

Normally I get decent service from them but my last visit wasnt that good. I wanted to buy a new battery. The salesperson pulled a listing of different batteries for my car. When I asked the difference between the lowest and highest cost batteries, the only response was that it all depends on how you drive. He couldnt give me a technical explanation. Either he didnt know what he was talking about or thought that I have no knowledge of cars and batteries. Anyway, I ended up buying the cheapest one. They did install it for free.

The staff is slow, unmotivated and full-on rude. The norm for auto parts stores these days, I guess. This store SIGNFICANTLY more expensive than others, though. So plan on paying more to be mistreated.

I brought in a battery I thought was defective. Turns out it was only the terminal on my car that was so corroded that it didnt take the charge once it had gotten weaker. Despite that I was able to get an upgrade and exchange for my battery. Dean, one of the guys behind the counter removed the old battery, installed a new one and even cleaned my terminals, all for free. He was really knowledgeable, told me what was causing the problem and rather than just sending me on my way made sure I had good connection between the car and the battery. He even offered to help and advise me on my future car projects when I told him I had an interest in DIY auto maintenance. What a great guy! Fantastic service! and I even got an upgrade on my battery!
