The absolute best hardware store you will ever need for most everything you want or need to buy. The owner is tops when it comes to everything he sells. Not like the big home stores where you ask a question and they never have an answer. If you go to Truevalue and ask a question, you will not only get the right answer, if Gary doesnt have what you are loo,ing for he will tell you who does. Support a family business that been around longer then the 34 years we have lived in Centereach.

Called and they said yes to making keys. They make house and auto keys. My car key was bent and they were able to still copy it. Went outside and tested it out and they key fit perfect. I like shopping here. Always a positive experience.

You can get help from people who know their products. Its a smaller store but the prices are very fair. I always walk out happy. They treat you with respect, even if you just need a .50 cent bolt. When you get frustrated at Home Dopey, come here. Youll thank yourself. This place has been in the neighborhood since I was a kid from Brooklyn like 55 years ago.

This is an old fashioned hardware store, the kind that is disappearing all to soon. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They sell or can get just about anything. They still sharpen lawn mower blades, something that the big box stores dont do.

First let me start by saying we have shopped at this hardware for over thirty years. The owner Gary is one of the nicest people you would every want to deal with. On one ocassionhe he actually talked me out of buying a larger snowblower saving me money by suggesting a single stag blower instead. The wait for a question by one of the professionals who work at this store is never long and they are always willing to help finding anything you need from a great hardware store. Will be stopping in to buy a new chain saw and I am gaurented to get a saw that will last for years. They have the best service department for everything they sell. If you want the best, stop in you will be extremely happy you did.

I went in for a hard to find bolt for my truck suspension and in 1 minute had it in my hand,, definitely recommend !

The aisles may be narrow but the store is well stocked and they have a repair department. They carry Stihl.

I used to go to Costellos nearby, but they closed and I found this gem of a hardware store shortly after. You can browse the aisles for a bunch of goodies and not get lost in the process, plus they tend to carry a variety of hardware that you just cant find in the bigger chains, for a reasonable price.

Just be ready for Garys Dad jokes. They are relentless. No other True Value like this one.
