Wow, as good as any bakery Ive encountered in England, German, Australia or New Zealand. The love and care that goes in can be tasted. It was worth the drive from half way across town. We will be regulars.

We have been traveling the US and Canada, and have now covered over 30,000 miles in the past couple years, stopping in and looking for the best bakeries. The quality of the bake goods here at Boosali’s is by far the most superior and exceptional we have found. The texture and taste make me very happy I have stopped in today. Look at the pictures of these items too. It was so good, I went back the next day too, also buying bread. Well I am here again after traveling 10,000 more miles and this is “THE BEST!” What a delight.

After living in New Zealand for four years, we struggled with finding fresh baked goods that we loved. After seeing reviews on a local Facebook group, we decided to try Boosalis Baking and Cafe. When we walked in, it immediately reminded us of an NZ cafe. So many scones, croissants, danish and other baked goods to try. We had a pecan roll and cherry white chocolate scone wile we were there and grabbed a ginger butter scone and another pecan roll to take home. Mr. Boosalis came over and took the time to speak with us and brought us a sample of his butter croissant and this amazing thing called a Kouign-Amann. We shared with him our story and how his cafe reminded us of the ones we loved in NZ. We will be going back frequently to try his amazing pastries.

One of Daytons best little shops! I get the caprese sandwich most of the time, which is a Vegetarian Delight! But everything is superb! I encourage you to go and figure out what your favorite cookie is! Mine is a toss-up between the Almond macaroon and a ginger molasses cookie.

My husband and I drove an hour and a half to try this bakery yesterday. I called ahead and asked when the best time to arrive was. Mindy, excited about our visit, was extremely friendly and told me to wait and get there at 9 so we could try their morning rolls. When we finally got there, the owner came out, gave us some free samples, and spent a long while explaining what all the different types of pastries were. The croissants were amazing (I tried both the chocolate and the ham and cheese). The kouign amann was to die for. The cookies, bread, morning rolls, danishes, and sticky buns were equally wonderful. I bought a large assortment of pastries and took it to my family. My nephews (5 and 11) would not stay away. They loved every single thing I brought them, especially the croissants and kouign amann. This is a must try. I’m planning on making a trip once a year because baking this good should be enjoyed, regardless of the drive.

The food here is absolutely phenomenal BUT that is not enough.I am giving it 2 stars because we have repeatedly witnessed the owner yell at his employees and speak to them in an irritated/degrading way. We come frequently enough that we have gotten to know some of the bakers/employees. They have always been extremely kind to us and it appears that they are working very hard and doing their absolute best. Watching them be yelled at feels like watching abuse. Its horrible. The owner seems to make a point of being very welcoming to customers and talking down to his employees. We have discussed not going anymore, even though we love the food, because we dont want to support this treatment of employees. We have told many of our friends about how wonderful the food is. If we continue to see abusive behavior from the owner to the employees, we will stop going and we will tell more of our friends what we have witnessed.

Love this place. The croissants are the best weve had outside of Paris. The service is always friendly. A must-try in Dayton.

I’ve been searching for a bakery that bakes in house, daily, and make the perfect scone. And I have finally found it! We had a few of their selections and all were mouth watering! I am so pleased to have found a real bakery!!

Stopped here based on TripAdvisor reviews and was so glad I did. Amazingly friendly people and the pastries were divine. Get there early or they may sell out of what you went for. Try something else anyway. Its all good. Great lunch menu too. I will be back, and earlier in the day so I can get their special queens Amman.

They have wonderful hand made, fresh croissants, I could not resist ordering one stuffed with Havarty and ham. This is a great place for special ordering breakfast and light lunches. They cater and deliver, too. Their hours are not posted but management says they are open 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday.

I am so glad I stopped in today! Friends recommended it to me and it was worth it! The people were so friendly and nice! The pastries are amazing! They gave me a sample of an almond strawberry brioche bread and it was like a little buttery piece of heaven. I had to buy the loaf! It would be perfect for Easter. They said it’s brioche but it was more like brioche in steroids! It was way more than just a brioche! I will be back!!

A friend brought me here for lunch. I ordered a cranberry Turkey sandwich. It was Turkey served on a delicious cranberry bread. Very fresh. My friend ordered the chicken salad which is her favorite. The bakery items looked delicious, but I abstained. Its a place and the staff was very friendly. Parking was available or front. They also had salads, breakfast croissants, kids meals and desserts. Ill go back. It was fairly busy around lunch time. You can order to go.

Outstanding! Very friendly local bakery with owners that clearly have a love for what they do. I needed a cheesecake and inquired about it online - Matt got back to personally that evening and told me there would be fresh ones newly made that Saturday and that one would be held just for me! Best cheesecake ever, hands down. The homemade fruit topping is delicious also. We have returned for cheesecake a few times and have also very much enjoyed the pastries. Delicious baked goods, friendly and personal service, and a local small business. A win on all counts!

Kouign (pronounced “queen”) aman pastries are a delight. Personal, helpful service, great salads and sandwiches. Worth a trip if you’re in the Dayton area.

Ive been to bakeries all around the world and have had many delicious pastries. Boosalis is the best I have ever had. The croissants and Queen Almond that I had yesterday were mind blowing. I plan to come as often as possible and buy plenty. Its no wonder its a 4.9 plus rating here because they are the best out around. Take the advice of these reviews and stop in.

Everything Matt Boosalis bakes makes your mouth happy. My favorites are the croissants, the molasses cookies, the chocolate croissants, the white chocolate cherry scones, the bear claws with almond paste, the coconut macaroons and the breads.I take my family to Boosalis every time they visit.And the atmosphere is homey and welcoming— even when they are busy.

Hot Dang!!! I just had this for the first time. The lady behind the counter was so sweet and explained everything they had. She gave me a free sample of their most popular item the (Kouign-Amann) pronounced queen-uh-mon. It was delicious! It’s like a croissant but a muffin thats sweet. Flakey and buttery, sweet goodness. You guys have to go try this spot.

This bakery was highly recommended by a friend that is a retired French chef. He brought me a croissant one day that was perfection. I finally visited in person and everything was amazing..the baked goods, the service the coffee. Love this place! Will be back soon!

Our favorite place for bread and sandwiches! We always leave with more than expected (mainly because it is all so good). The boxed lunch is one of the best lunch deals in Dayton. Excellent sandwiches, cookies and scones!

We’ve travelled to France and Quebec and this is it; a little French in Centerville) You cannot go wrong with anything (egg breakfast sandwiches, Caprese sandwich, ginger scones, chocolate chip cookies, creme puffs, etc.); the Kouignanann is one of their signature offerings. The pastries, the sandwiches...this bakery goes above and beyond with the goods. I think his secret is using high quality ingredients, and, of course, apprenticed in France). Sure, you may have to wait in line a bit to order, but so worth the wait. We order ahead to have it ready for pick up. So fortunate to have this cafe, even though a bit of a drive for us. Worth the drive. Amazing bakery.

Today I finally got to visit Boosalis. I was greeted warmly by whom I am sure were the owners, and was immediately given a sample of the Kouign Amman, it was one of the most wonderful pastries I have ever had, the flaky, buttery taste can not be beat, even my 14 year old said so...the ham and cheese croissant was also delicious, as well as the blueberry scone.I can not wait t go back and try some of the other pastries and maybe a lunch. This place is top notch!! Get in your car and go support this wonderful local shop!!!!

Over the top delicious! When the owner (I think it was) Gives you testers of multiple items you know they have a good product. Not only did I get testers, He was sure to give me water to wash my palette. I bought the morning muffin, kougin ammanin,(sp?) chocolate chip cookies and almond macaroon. Each incredibly delicious and the high quality ingredients are apparent. This will be my go to bakery in Dayton!!

I had the opportunity to take the bread baking class right before COVID. Learned so much from the owner, he cares about every baked product he produces. I could hear the passion and love for what he does everyday. This is my go to for croissants, cookies, breads. Highly recommend.

We love to eat at Boosalis and we love their catering. They have catered many of our family events and parties. Best catering experience we have ever had in all the places we have lived. Mindy is so easy to work with!

Food was good, but they seemed understaffed and the dining tables and floor needed cleaned. The dining area looks like a backroom storage area.

I love this place and the people who work there. My doctor’s office is right around the corner, and I can’t help but stop for some Kouign-Amann every time. My husband is obsessed with the peanut butter cookies. We haven’t been able to get out much since Covid started, but I’m hoping we can stop by soon.

I picked up a loaf of the Milk Bread. I sliced an inch thick. Dipped in egg and put in my waffle maker. Unbelievable a little butter and maple syrup a must try.

I recommend the Kouign Amman, which is like a croissant but baked in a cup with a caramelized bottom. They do carry scones, cinnamon rolls, coffee cake, muffins and cookies, but their French pastries are superb! The owner is very friendly and welcoming and the shop is clean and comfortable. So thankful we have a place like this in the Dayton area.

We found this Bakery by an article stating best bakery in Centerville. I just had to come and try it and let me tell you...it is the best bakery ever! The owner is incredibly sweet & very interactive with his customers. The food and pasteries are to die for! We love coming every weekend. I would 100% recommend!

The teachers raved about the quality of the food and the lovely presentation, and we were thoroughly pleased with the Boosalis teams attention to detail, responsiveness during the ordering process, and delivery the day of the event. I would highly recommend Boosalis and intend to use them again!

Saw this ad on Facebook for the best bakery in Ohio, 20 minutes away, and had to try it! My husband and I ordered several pastries, scones, and cookies to go, and breakfast sandwiches to eat there. Scrumptious! If you love croissants, these are fresh and delectable! After breakfast, my husband ate a sample of the almond macaroon and bought some of those also! We’re having a group gathering to taste the rest of the items! We loved the queen aman (can’t spell or say it in French). Will definitely be back! Get there early or order ahead, as the line starts when they open! Glad we found this treasure!

This is the first authentic French bakery I have ever found in the US (and I have been looking for one for the past 5 years.) The staff here are so friendly, and the food is to die for. The croissants are light and airy, all of the French pastries taste like theyre straight from France. If you want French pastries or baked goods this is the place!

The chocolate cream puffs are my favorite! My fiance has to get a croissant every time; unbelievably flaky and perfectly buttery. The sandwiches are made with boars head meats. Everything is made fresh daily. Boosalis is one of our favorite local places. Check their hours, closed Sundays.

I could care less that the place was packed, line out the door. The food was so good! Kouign-Amann, I will be ruined for any other sweets from now on. This little baked goodness is worth it all.

Very friendly people there. Best baguette I have found in Ohio. Good prices and good coffee ( Not great but very good). No non dairy creamer/milk. The other baked items looked tasty, but as I need to avoid dairy, I didnt try any.
