I think that they have good ideas and good equipment but its been a year since I last purchased something from them and I am still not sure if I ever want to get anything from them again. My experience was pretty much the same as all the other negative ones but I was taught that if I dont have anything good to say about someone then to not say anything at all so I wont.
Ok, Hello AirgunnersYes, I ordered a Raptor .25 HP Slug Barrel TJ s, back on 3-21-20 just got it on 9-25-20. Yes it was Frustrating waiting so long and also 5 or 6 of my phone calls never got answered or returned. If im starting off with My own Business and I want Customers, Future Customers, Long Term Customers, I would definitley shoot a Text, email, voice mail, letter, something!!Hell! id Hire my Wife if thats what it took, too answer phones, email, text. The Raptor is everything I thought it would be and more! Highly Accurate, Very Powerful. If you use Skirted Pellets, you have to keep FPS below 980fps for sure or you will have about 3 fliers out of 12 shots. Slugs on the other hand, bump that psi up to 2500 to 3000 and look out. Ill be giving a short Video Review on Youtube in a couple of Weeks on my Raptor. My 4 Star review is what im giving for now, but yes, the communication is Bad.I really do think they have Great! Rifle that does everything they say it does. I really look foward in year or two, to see what kind of tweaks they have made.It was a long wait fellas but the Rifle is a Solid Performer! I choose this Raptor to Shoot over my Crown .25. Airforce Condor .25 Thanks for reading. GT69
Like most of the reviews posted there seems to be a lack of business ethics. A simple returned e-mail,txt, something, seems not out of the question to me and others now does it? Im reasonably sure that jsar doesnt just send theyre monies to their supplier on a wish and a hope that it shows up and especially when it hasnt to not be able to get confirmation is just bad business. After 3months of agravation I finally received my hawk 22cal and am tickled to death with it! Its too bad that the business doesnt perform like their rifles do...
The guys are great at excuses. I had a Raptor on order for 8 months, have heard too many excuses, getting a refund on my purchase if I can get them to answer a phone call or email. They will certainly understand the letter from my lawyer.
I was one of the first orders when I was researching and looking for a high powered .22 PCP Air Rifle. I had a Daystate Regal, Brocock Compatto both in .22, Benjamin Marauder Pistol and an Airforce Escape in .25. After researching and narrowing down my choices to a RAW LRT, WAR Flex, Brocock Bantam Sniper HP and a Daystate Wolverine HR HP, it was during this time frame I was told about the Jefferson State Air Rifles Raptor. I knew someone who came from WAR rifles who had helped design the Raptor had also helped design the Flex and from speaking with him learned it was similar with his own tweaks. I mulled over my list and decided on taking a chance on the full sized Raptor as it ticked more boxes than the rest on the list... pretty much a custom build with non-choked TJ barrel, high power, efficient with a new balanced valve and externally adjustable regulator, and tensioned shroud taking most of the harmonics out of play. It said a 6 week delivery time but I knew being a first run it would take longer. Well, it did take much longer to get to me but the wait to me was well worth it. It is everything JSAR said it would be, albeit, mine came with a non adjustable regulator as the adjustable ones were manufactured by a second party and were not ready for production. When I received it, I liked it so much, that a couple months later, I sold my Regal, Escape and Compatto to fund a second Raptor. Well, the covid epidemic has slowed second party parts to a crawl and I know my second one will be very late in coming. I did send my first one back to get retrofitted with adjustable regulator as they trickled in and got it back quickly and it is as advertised. The reviews of the late shipping of orders is true but I have contacted them countless times enquiring about tunes or other and they have always returned my calls within a day or two. Being a first time small business full PCP builds things will run slower until operations are ironed out. They make incredible PCPs that punch well above their price point. A very satisfied customer here.
I placed a order for ss balance valve with transferport for my marauder on Oct. 31. Waited two weeks and email all three emails on the jsar website but no response. A week later, i called and cancel my order. The next day, i recieved an email stating it will be sent out that week. I than emailed him back to just refund my money. I called paypal, to make a dispute claim than finaly on december 16th i recieved the item. This purchase was the worst online experience i ever had. None of this didnt have to happen if jsar just kept a line of communication. The valve looks decent but the transferport was a piece of junk for $3.50.Wow if any one is buying parts for thier marauder my advice is buy from tim hill or save that money and by a FX. I really regret buying from jsar, honestly if i save all the money i spent modifying this crapy gun I could of bought myself a really nice gun by now. There is a section on the forums just about these guys and how they operate.
Part ordered and paid for ..never dispatched, 6 months later after many promises of delivery got a full refund . 230 bucks out of my account for all that time...no apology from JSAR
I made a order my card has been charged. I wanted to change my order. I sent several e-mails, I have called several times.l sent a Pm on Airgun Nation. After seeing this lack of communication I have no confidence I will ever be taken care of if a problem ever arises on the promised rifle.
Very poor communication. Endless waiting and false promises.
