Rotors are trash and rust within DAYS! Website says zinc plated and these definitely have no plating.... Customer service said the version I bought doesnt have plating even though when I ordered I wasnt given the option for plating or no plating....total bait and switch company!

Ordered and paid for two sets of rotors on Sat, 9/11; one shipped from Amazon and one from R1. The order from Amazon arrived Monday, 9/13, without issue. R1 called me on Wednesday, 9/15, to tell me theyre out of stock on my other rotors. They offered to upgrade both and have rotors to me by 9/18. As of 9/18, I have no rotors. They took my Amazon rotors and provided none back. Disgusting.

R1 Concepts has some of the best customer service I have had to deal with in some time. Crazy fast response.(keep in mind any time diff CA to FL in my case) I ordered my second set of brakes from them for the rear of my truck. UPS lost of my one 13 inch drums. I contacted R1 Concepts, couple quick emails back about fourth and Im on my way. So if your worried that the price is a little higher then some of their competitors or even you local auto store, Its 110% worth it. The quality is excellent shipping is quick and top notch customer service. Plus keep an eye out for discount codes.

If you want to waste money, then the R1 is for you. Low-quality products from brands such as DuraGo and DFC (part numbers on the rotors indicate this) are resold by the R1 as performance-class components. The support is as disgusting as the production. They will say that you yourself are to blame for everything and will refuse guarantees.

UPDATE: I am now even more displeased than I was prior to managements involvement. I spoke with yet another rep who upon looking at my order said she found a note from the manager that they will not be available until September and that they were in fact NOT in the machining process. The rep then proceeded to say she had permission to offer me a PARTIAL refund. Absolutely ridiculous. Will be submitting a report with the consumer protection agency in California and having my back rescind the chargers. Awful business practice. (We wont even get into the fact that upon further research they are just rebranding rotors that cost a quarter as much.) Stay away.Ordered my rotors on the 18th of June. I went with a lower quality rotor than what I had wanted since the rep assured me the eline rotors were in stock and ready to go and the geomets would be a wait until September. Fine, its now the 22nd money was charged days ago yet here I am with no shopping confirmation. I wait on hold for customer service for 10 mins then it goes to voicemail. Called the sales line got an individual that was very hard to understand and eventually told me they werent expected to have the rotors to me for two weeks as they need to be machined and qcd. Basically exactly the opposite of what the other sales rep had originally told me. I will now be driving on 1mm of brakes until they get here. Im holding r1 concepts responsible if anything happens.

I was skeptical ordering my front rotors since most auto parts stores shows there’s two different sizes for my car and they didnt for their brand But thought what the hell for that price. They came within a weeks time but they were the correct size. My rating is based on appearance, fitment, price and easy to order. I’ve only driven a few miles on them so far but this is the first time I’ve had slotted rotors I can already tell a difference with good quality pads on this time. I’ve just ordered the rears now.

Called multiple times to see if my order was pulled so i could pick up at will call and all i got was call back tomorrow for 2 days in a row. The operator was nice and professional, I give her 5 stars. She said she could see my order on her computer in their system but she couldnt say why they were not pulling it.

I bought slotted rotors and pads in fall 2018. In summer 2019, a huge amount of residuals appeared on my front wheels. I didnt know the reason and was cleaning my wheels till I realized the reason is due to the pads and rotors! Look at the attached advertisement; I dont think this is suitable for daily use while it causes this only a few months after installing them! I contacted them and the replied:Thank you for your message. This is not a defect. The slots are cutting the brake pads. It is to provide more stopping power. You use about 80% of the stopping power in the front. This is normal with a performance applicate. To decrease dust, please purchase OEM blank rotors with very soft brake pads and not a performance set up.I am really disappointed! I would never buy if I knew this!

I’ve bought from their online store for about a year already. I recently decided to check out their store front and I did wait for a longer time then I expected (during covid-19) so keep that in mind. Kevin helped me and answered a bunch of my questions and didn’t so much as complain with me asking prices on different rotors they offer. He also answered my question of “If slotted is out of stock can you just machine me some using a blank rotor?” And yes they can! Glad to know the manufacturing is done in house! Thanks again guys! They are very unprofessional when it comes to customer service, and also charged me twice for $1500 rotors that were supposed to be drilled and slotted... but came completely plain with standard pads. But I had ordered the performance pads with the green top. I didnt find a way to respond to R1s response... ive been talking to your reps back and forth, Ever since December 9th. Im still waiting for a return label to return what I did receive....

Ive been using R1 Concepts for a couple years now and I just had my first issue with UPS telling me they lost my order. Ive opened up investigations with UPS and after a month and a half i have still not received my order nor am i getting any updates. Thinking R1 was going to give me the run around too i tried calling to see what they could do for me. I spoke to Carlos and holy hell their customer service is legit A1. Carlos took care of everything in the span of literally a 5 minute call. Theyre sending me a replacement already. I dont know why i didnt call them first but they definitely have a customer for life. I was definitely shocked at the service i received. Definitely going to recommend you guys for anyone thats looking for brakes. Keep up the great work.

I bought some rotors and brakes for my car . The website said they had them and when it came down to replacing them on my car they fit weird . We went back to r1 store in person, and the hardware didn’t fit either or the brakes or the rotors they were all wrong . And they got the order number and they’re weren’t even for the car . So they replaced the brake pads and hardware that I had to buy, I pre ordered the new rotors that fit the car and few days later I go and they say they don’t even make them for my car .. but the back ones fit .. I wouldn’t shop here again. I was really lookin forward to using there products but it’s very unprofessional .. first they show they have my car then send me wrong rotors and pads after they don’t even make them for my car smfh

DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU MAY HAVE TO RETURN! I have been having a horrible experience with this company. First, a little more than month ago they sent me two sets of rear rotors and after weeks of e-mailing back and forth they insist that the rotors are correct for my car model... even though they are both rears. So, I politely asked for a refund and was asked to ship the parts back. Because I was sent the wrong parts and they were unwilling to see the error, I requested that they send me a return label. They then told me that I would be sent one that day twice but received nothing, not even in my junk box. Then they asked me if the email account they had been corresponding to me with was the correct one.... on that email account. I have since asked if someone could reach out to me regarding my concerns and once again was told twice someone would call with no correspondence whatsoever. At this point I think this business is a scam, or at least their online ordering is, because I’ve never had to write so many emails and been told so many different things in my life. Very disappointed and out of $200.

R1 Concepts Inc - Performance Brake Parts is the best. I cant say enough good things about this operation! Kevin and James are both very helpful and knowledgeable... and the prices are amazing. Got a complete upgraded slotted and drilled rotors and pads kit for the Challenger for the price some Dodge dealers wanted for just the front pads. Checked with Brembo Store and Race Technologies for the pads on the Super Bee and neither one could get them. Dodge wanted between $295 and $354 for just the front pads. R1 had them in stock, much much much more reasonably priced and I picked them up same day. I ended up needing a rotor on a Friday, so called Kevin and he said he would send it out and Ill probably get it Monday. Rotor showed up Saturday so the vehicle will be back in service Monday morning. Excellent service!

This place has the worst Customer Sevice. I had to repeat what I said to the rep like three times. I recently placed an order for several items.When I placed the order items said they were in stock. I expected items to arrive within Five days. Five days go by and still no products. I call customer service and they give me run around that rotors still in production.Keep in mind its been a week already. Again I Call support as I need to know when I will get items purchased as I cant wait forever to get rotors or pads. There answer there in production we dont have a date ? Really this is how you treat customers. You cant even give me a date on when I will get the items.If you value your time and want a great product then look elsewhere. This place is a joke, definitely will be asking for my refund.

I personally wouldn’t buy anything from them again. I placed a order on 8/17/19 for rotors and pads with gold coating and never received a email or phone call the following days about my order.!So on 8/22/19 i sent a email asking about it and received no useful information just the basic oh we sent this to our shipping department. So i called 15 minutes after and was told there was a red flag on my order because my billing and shipping were different(even though they already took my money). I don’t see how that is a issue but it was to them and no one wanted to contact me right way and confirm the information i provided was correct so my order could get here on time. So i told them i put the correct information and they would get started on my order. The fact they didn’t even start on my order made me upset but i stayed calm and they told they would send me a order confirmation email in a hour or so. 8/23/19 i wait until about 1-2pm est called them again stating i never got a email from them, they said they would send it again and i didn’t receive it to call back. Well i call back later saying i never received it and ask how long it would take for my order to be completed they told me 24-48 hours. So the days 8/24-8/27/19 i never received a email or call about my order so i call on 8/27/19 about my order which i was would take another 24-48 hours to complete and would take 24 hours after that to be shipped then 4-5 days to get here. I asked how much it would cost for them to expedite my order which they said would be $90 and would only be a day faster. This highly unacceptable customer service. I will write another review when i receive my order to see how long it takes for my brakes to arrive.

Called to ask about my rotors rusting and they didn’t even take the time to see where I ordered from. The rotors had a incredible amount of rust on the rear after only 2 months. I live in Southern California and they kept saying “ice, snow, salt on the roads” determine rust. When they finally got where I live they switch to the zinc coating is light so it doesn’t start fires on the front rotors, so I had to explain again the ones I was asking about were rear. After several emails back and forth with someone who appeared to know less about brakes then myself, they said they would not warranty them. Now the front have warped and I never have had that problem before. I have driven for many of my jobs and I know how to drive without riding my brakes or causing excessive heat and wear. Horrible materials, horrible customer service and no care as to what goes on after the sale!!! Very disappointed!

Product was out of stock, but turn around was excellent! As for the breaks themselves, so far so good. Will have to follow up on this review. Everything was delivered undamaged (minus R1 decals). 4 star until further notice.

You have to be able to brake faster than you can drive. I can say its performance is up to par. Gotta try their brakes and rotors, you will be satisfied. They also have warranty for their products.

Ordered all 4 pads rotors for a specific make model as per eBay listing, the arrived wrong, and told me I mis ordered and when proven I didn’t, they offered to send the correct ones but when they arrived it was missing the pads. They were told my wifes car was down in the driveway over a weekend brake job. 3 weeks later finally getting things right they offer a 10% refund.. bad English communications, no offers of overnighting to rectify the mistakes, and eBay messages passive aggressively saying I’m the one who should be patient. Never will I ever use R1 Concepts or recommend their shotty business to anyone.

Performance brakes on a budget. I ordered brakes for my BMW 135i M-Sport. For the price I paid, I am very happy with their performance. Stop times are vastly reduced. Most other brake shops or tire and wheel websites recommend high-end $3k-$4k brake systems. I came away for just $353 with slotted rotors and ceramic pads. My car stops far better than it ever has. Their website is easy to navigate. Fast shipping. Very much recommending them to anyone needing quality brakes at an awesome price.

I order a kit brakes and rotors. Package came less one rear rotor. Still waiting its been a week and a half. I call them timme ater time no results. Will never buy or recommend to story. Not away to do business.

If you need rotors and pads FAST, then do not order from R1. I have been waiting for over a week for my items and I am 2hours away form the headquarters. I had to cancel my order after the people on the phone kept telling me they will ship soon. I wasted a whole week not using my car waiting for these. Update: R1 Concepts contacted me and I spoke with them regarding the issues I have been having. I am just barely out of warranty but they were kind enough to send out a new set of rotors. They assured me that the rotors I received did not commonly have issues.I was impressed with how the treated me and so I upgraded the review from a 1 star to a 3 star review. I will update again depending on how the new rotors work out.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I am reviewing the pads and rotors. I have had them on for over one year. I purchased the slotted Geomet series because the price was less than half the cost of BMW OEM. They have consistently made rough vibrations and sounds, even after the break in period. They now shake when I am slowing down, especially between 80 and 40 mph. I have never tracked them or stomped on them. They have been used for normal driving and an occasional canyon run with minimal breaking.I have been very unsatisfied with the brake rotors from day one.I mean, they actually look cool and I was excited for them, but I get no performance out of them and they didnt even last a few months.

Excellent Equipment, Great communication, integrity and quality! I ordered for the first time with R1 online. Ive dealt with lackluster braking and warped rotors on my Nissan Armada for several years. Ive tried 6 different brands/combinations but Ive finally found the right combination: I do get a little brake dust that requires cleaning the rims every 1.5-2 weeks but that was disclosed on the website and it is well worth the excellent performance! The install was easy, the equipment is extremely well made. Mine were machined after ordering and the shipping was fast. UPS damaged one of the boxes and the response from R1 was fast and professional. Quick replacements were sent and R1 made it right even though it wasnt their fault. Thanks for the integrity and great customer service. I will continue to buy for all of my fleet and recommend. Cant go wrong here.

First time purchasing from R1 Concepts and it wont be my last! In addition to their more than fair prices, the quality of the rotors and pads have been nothing short of excellence. The main reason for leaving the review is the customer service has been top notch. Initially I ordered the rotors and pads online. After placing the order I noticed that I had missed out on a coupon, I reached out and without question R1 applied the coupon and credited my account. Once I received the rotors and pads everything was great except I had accidently received two right rear slotted and drilled rotors. When I reached out to R1 they promptly responded requesting some vehicle information. I waited a few weeks as it had skipped my mind and once I replied a few days later I received a package with the correct rotor. No hassle process for an affordable great product... cant ask anything more. Extremely happy with my purchase and plan to purchase again from R1 Concepts!

Ordered rotors and pads for my 2016 Mazda 6 and there was an issue during the ordering process. My screen told me an order was placed but my email and bank had nothing confirming the order.Customer Service reached out and acknowledged the issue same day. I ordered using a Discount Code for 10% but on top of that, they gave another discount for my troubles!Ill update this review once the brakes are in (which I got because multiple people recommended them) but so far this company deserves 5 stars for customer service alone.

They have the wrong product listed on their website. Still have not changed the information. Sent the rotors back because they were not drilled. They received them 6 days ago and have yet to issue me a refund. Had to call for them to do the refund. During that time they didn’t know they had received the rotors.

I read about R1 Concepts on the Jaguar Forum and after reading reviews and comparing prices, I placed an order.I was advised the rotors would be machined there and sent out no later than 2 business days.After allowing 10 days I pulled the brakes off my car thinking I could get them any day, no later than today (Friday).I called them and was told they didnt have the brakes and didnt know when they would receive them from their supplier.When I asked why I was not notified and why I was misled into thinking they had them in stock, the answer given was sorry?I placed an order with Auto Anything...If it goes well, Im sure other Forum members will be happy to know there is an alternative that places customer trust above writing an order and hoping the buyer will wait for fulfillment?

I have always wanted a custom big brake for my project car. I reached out to R1 Concepts and Kevin who provided an estimate for a custom Forged Series 6 BBK. Kevin was extremely helpful and responsive (within 1-3 business days all by e-mail). He made sure I provided him the correct information make sure the brakes fit.The customer service is great. I was provided updates about the kit and was even given a complimentary upgrade for the rear piston calipers since they couldnt forge a set that would fit over the e-brake module on my car.The kit took about 3.5 weeks to make and about 2 days to ship from Cerritos to Pleasant Hill, CA. They look absolutely amazing. And the custom shop who installed them had no problems. The instructions were supplied again by Kevin upon on request.I have yet to test the brakes under heavy load on the track but they definitely have increased stopping power compared to single piston calipers in daily use.

While their customer service is second to none, i have been very unimpressed with the products i purchased. R1 is one of very few companies aside from OEM that sell the right size rotors for my wifes Lexus at a reasonable price. I decided to go ahead and purchase pads and rotors from them for my RAM as well as her lexus RC350 F sport. The main reason for replacing brakes in the first place was My wife had been complaining that her brakes were making noise at low speeds I was assured by the sales rep that thes pads and rotors would be a huge improvement in performance over stock for both vehicles with more stopping power, brake dust and would resolve the noise issue. I decided on eline cross drilled, black coated for the lexus, eline cross drilled and slotted black for the ram as well as optimum OE pads for both. After installing the new pads and rotors all the way around on both vehicles, i carefully followed R1s brake bed in procedure on both. After about 500 miles on both, While the brakes are quieter, stopping performance has noticeably decreased compared to stock on both vehicles. This is especially true on my ram where i have notonly noticed increased stopping distance, but more pedal fade and the pedal is now spongy as opposed to firm. This truck only has 52k miles, calipers are all good, fluid is good, clean. The OE brakes were still good with plenty of pad life left, and good original rotors. I only replaced them because after talking with the sales rep, and reading reviews, i was convinced this would be a good upgrade over stock. Bottom line is the stock brakes performed far better than the upgrade. On top of all of this, their e-line coating is a waste. Not even a month and the black coating on the hub has started to corrode and turn from black to white, a total waste of money. This is my 5th ram and i have replaced brakes on all of them, yet this is the first time going with something other than stock equipment and it will be the last.*update*After speaking with the technical dept., i was sent a set of ceramic pads for both vehicles. After installing them on both, there was a small improvement with the ram, although still nowhere even close to stock. The lexus however had no improvement, they only got worse. After again speaking with techincal was told that they actually recommend stock pads for this car and their products are not compatible. They said they would be glad to refund the pads, however a manager woild have to authorize a refund for the rotors. The manager however, said that he would only replace the rotors if i took it to a professional mechanic. How is that ok? How is ok for your company to tell me what they sold me is not only wrong but recommend going with a different company and then not refund the money you took from me because the rotors have been used? I used what you recommended, and it didnt work. Steer clear of this company.

Well, where do I start. Low quality product (Brake pads and rotors) thats wearing off extremely quickly and make squeaking noise all the time. First they told me to get a report from CTO in order to send a replacement and then when I asked where to email this report they told me that it will be only partial replacement. Because its not their product that is bad, its other parts of my car. Good luck buying product from these, people who are generating fake reviews.

Great performance and appearance! I ordered a full four wheel drilled rotor package for a Range Rover Supercharged and have had them on the vehicle for 5 months. They are great looking and perform better than the factory package. MOST IMPORTANTLY..... I had a rear caliper freeze up and destroy a rear rotor while on a trip. I called and they shipped a replacement that was incorrect. When I contacted them again, they apologized and send a return label and correct replacement. This replacement was correct but the manufacturer had changed and so the appearance was slightly different. I was not happy about the two sides looking different and asked for options. Carlos was very professional and asked to call me back after reviewing some possible options. The result was very fair. I can tell you as far as Im concerned, mistakes will happen but how you handle them makes a customer want to talk about you and use or not use you way more than just a smooth transaction. I will be telling everyone my recommendation for brake needs because of being happy with the product but much more importantly because of R1 Concepts and Carlos handling of an unfortunate situation that was only part their problem. This place is definitely great to go get your brakes. I got all four of my rotors and pads for $180. This was also the drilled and slotted rotors. I definitely got more bang for my buck. They offer different grades as well. I got the E line series. They also have a Pro series.

They have great deals. My only recommendation is dont go CHEAP...

Had an issue with my first order. But after a few days it got straightened out with the corporate office.

Ordered brakes and was missing a rotor. I emailed and didnt hear back for 2 days. I called and they are going to mail me another rotor. The issue and wait doesnt seem worth the hassle to save $30 over getting things locally.

Bought brake pads from them 1st time and was impressed. When the time came to replace my rotors, i bought a whole set of eline OEM rotors including OEM brake pads and i have no complaints. Very good quality at a cheap price. Excellent customer service and shipping time was fast.

I spoke with Gilbert I believe, he could not have helped me out anymore than he did, confirmed vehicle fitment, made suggestions on which product would best fit my driving style and parts came on the exact day they stated they would. Only negative I have is the amount of brake dust from the pads... however that is the compromise that you make ordering the best pads. Totally worth cleaning wheels more often.

I have purchased multiple brake pad/rotor sets from R1 I have had no issues. The rotors are well made and have a nice finish. They also answer the phone! if you need help!

Ill start by saying yes there customer service is great, however, what their website states and what their reps say are two completely different things. Website states brake parts ship within 24-48 hours. Wrong, I contacted R1 about my order and was told they dont stock anything for quality purposes, fine. But, was told that since I ordered through the website that my order takes longer to get to their system, than if I was to call... How was I supposed to know that, their website seemed very convenient. Anyways, so then they told me my order was being made which takes 3-4 business days, and would get a tracking number once it ships. Today is the 5th day and still havent received tracking. Very frustrating since shipping will take an additional 2-3 days. All in all, it could take about 2 weeks to receive my order. I do not recommend them at ALL! I could have gone through a different company and would have had my parts by now. Very disappointing, heard a lot of good things about them but this wasnt the case for me. If you ever need rotors, pads ect. Dont go through R1! You will be waiting weeks for your parts! And dont let customer service sweet talk you, theyll tell you what you wanna hear and lie about when youll receive your order! Would NEVER recommended them to anyone!

Updated 2018-10-25:Today I was contacted by R1 Concepts. After some discussion, they offer me another replacement even after the initial warranty period. They also took their time explaining to me what could cause the vibration when braking and what steps to take when the new set arrive. I updated the rating for the excellent customer service they provided.Initial Review:Got a set of eLINE for my 08 Rogue through Amazon (R1 Concepts is the seller) on April 2017, rotor warped on January 2018. Got a replacement on February 2018, and now they are warped again on October 2018. For this price, the rotor is not worth it. My previous set from Ebay is 1/4 the price and didnt warp for 5 years of usage.

I was so excited to get my rotors yesterday but when I opened the box I only get 3 rotors!! I called and they said will let me know what Im missing today I get a answer today saying they are sending it to the parts department now I have to wait again my box was super damaged rotors are metal so they wont damage easy but still

I had an issue with a set of e-line OE rotors that I ordered. R1 quickly resolved the issue and sent a replacement set of rotors for free. These guys offer great advice on your brake needs and also provide excellent service if you run into issues as I just learned.
