Made an online purchase of band shoes for my child... needed them quick. Sent a text message view their website to check how quick they could ship. They responded within minutes, before the store even opened. They told me the shoes were in stock and would ship same day. Awesome service.

I recently purchased a used saxophone. It went very well and I am satisfied with my purchase.The person (Seth) who helped me was very helpful and patient so I was able to test out the instruments so I know what I am getting at my level.I am a beginner and this was my first expensive instrument so I had to have lots of questions. He took the time to demonstrate how to use the item before I took it home. As expressed earlier, customer service is not rushed, and makes you feel they have your best interest.COVID-19 screws up everything, and the erring on the side of caution somewhat draconian. I understand not wanting to get sued, and being concerned for the safety of themselves and their customers, but common sense must be patient and wait outside

I needed someone with a lot of knowledge and experience to tell me what might be the best option for a tenor sax. Seth, at The Music Shoppe, was fantastic. He answered all my questions and helped us set up everything we needed to pick the sax up the same day! They were super friendly and knowledgeable. He also helped me identify the best way to use and store reeds as well as some reeds to try when looking to play different styles of music. So thankful that they will be there to service the instrument when needed because the rent to own plan includes a service agreement. Highly recommend. Don’t make my mistake and buy an instrument without consulting them first. You don’t want an instrument that can’t be serviced by anyone due to being unable to find parts. It might seem like a cheaper option...but it won’t serve you well when you need a repair...which happens more than you might think.

The best music store in Champaign-Urbana! Staff is consistently friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the products and music in general. I’ve been going to The Music Shoppe for about a decade and have yet to have a negative experience. Highly, highly recommend them over chain music stores—the service is absolutely unbeatable.They also are trans/non-binary-friendly! They noticed that my name had changed when I was checking out and updated it on my account without me even having to ask first.

Today I bought a ukulele and a tuner for my daughter. The Music Shoppe staff were great, I love shopping at stores with great customer service and knowledgeable staff. There was a nice selection of selection of ukuleles, straps and cases. Thank you Music Shoppe staff!

We have used the music shoppe in Champaign for all three of our kids and been very happy with the quality and service. But our last experience was truly exceptional. We purchased a nice clarinet for our son. He was very happy, but it played flat. The people at the music shoppe immediately ordered a new one, but my son really liked the first one best. So they ordered a new barrel (slightly shorter) from the company for us! Definitely well above and beyond.We will definitely continue to buy from them and encourage everyone in the area to support them as well!

Excellent staff, everyone clearly has a passion for music. Took my fathers old saxophone in to get looked at. They took their time, did their research, and gave me a very informative and honest appraisal of how much it would cost and how long it would take to get it back in proper working order. They clearly care about the work that they do and are not just trying to make a quick dollar.

I have worked with the repair shop and, specifically, the woodwind repair specialist, Annie, many times. Annie is extremely knowledgeable and sensible when it comes to instrument repair. She performs regular maintenance work efficiently and always makes sure to communicate exactly what work she did. If I ever have an emergency problem with any of my or my students instruments, Annie is able to quickly locate the problem and repair it with ease. I highly recommend using the Music Shoppe for any repair work needed.

Every time I have taken my bassoon into the Music Shoppe, whether it was for new pads or for complicated, fragile repairs, Annie has done an amazing job. She has been very honest, personable, and clear with what needs to happen, is wonderful at communicating in person, via phone, or email, and has always been extremely timely. I have had my oboe repaired at the Music Shoppe several times over the last few years, and have been very impressed with the work that they have done. As the oboe instructor at Eastern Illinois University and a private lessons teacher, I always encourage my students to get their oboes repaired at the Music Shoppe by Annie Vogel Roberts. An oboist herself, Ms. Roberts will always test the instruments before returning them to her clients, to ensure that they work flawlessly. I highly recommend the repair services at the Music Shoppe!

When I came for violin repair, I was greeted with excellent customer service and honest and skilled craftsmanship. The music shoppe is one of the only places that youll find such work. Ive been to several violin repair shops, and this is the only place where I found both excellent work and honest service. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to buy or repair an instrument.

Last time I came in here I had an employee make fun of me/my instrument because it wasnt high end (which I knew). Now that I work on my own instruments I know better than to put up with snobby musicians like the one I dealt with here. Three stars because I cant condemn the entire establishment because of one or two rude employees.

I went in to have my saxophone serviced. The saxophone I play is pretty nice. I mentioned that I played it in marching band and the woman belittled me for playing a nice instrument in marching band. Sorry I dont have an unlimited supply of saxophones.

I went to get my clarinet fixed and they tried to up sell me on getting all my pads fixed and thought I was a child and were annoyed I came in the store when I came to pick it up. I will not be using these services again because of the horrible service I received from the workers.

Yesterday was my first time visiting the music shoppe in Champaign Il. Nice to experience great customer service, especially these days. Sam helped me to purchase a trumpet, great guy, didnt feel rushed, very informative, and gave me a nice deal on the horn for my daughter, cant wait to give it to her on her birthday Thanks Sam, well be back for more :) also, Mark and Dale (friends) for encouraging me to visit your shop.
