The salesman was really nice and tried to be helpful. The female owner came out and was so very rude to us. She basically shut down all my husband’s questions and I watched her turn red as he asked for basic information about outdoor furniture and structures. Don’t recommend this business due to her unprofessional behavior.

Love this store! Moved into a house with a pool... Went in to learn what I needed to do to care for it... talked to both Mike & Sharon- learned so much!!! Was surprised how much outdoor furniture they had on display! Ended up picking out lots of furniture for my new patio. Can’t wait for it to be delivered. Love that it is a local family business! Very disappointed in your hours. Closed on Saturdays? The busiest shopping day. We have tried to give you business, but can’t find a time to get there from 9-4 during working hours.

This store is not a kid friendly environment. The women that helped me was rude and didn’t have good customer service at all. I will not be returning to have my pool water tested there and would never recommend them.

Just made a phone inquiry about re-slinging patio furniture. I cant believe how rudely I was treated. Ive owned my furniture for 10 years and bought what I could afford at the time from Lowes. This person did nothing but shame me for buying from a box store. Now that I might be able to afford the top quality and probably over-priced patio furniture from somewhere like Cardinal, Im sure as hell not going to buy it from her. Obviously, I was trying to do a good-turn for the environment by trying to fix something instead of throw it in the landfill. The person I talked to must believe in a disposable society.UPDATE: We worked with a company in Florida to purchase new slings for our patio furniture. We provided some intricate measurements and avoided throwing a good investment from a discount store (Lowes) in a landfill. They were completely repairable. Rudeness never wins, regardless.

Opened our pool after coming back from vacation second week of June and motor only hummed. Next day, Tuesday, went to Cardinal pool to order a new pump and sand filter, Sharon knew exactly what we needed. Thursday evening Sharon and her crew arrived around 7pm and began insulation in the still hot, humid weather. Three hours later our pool was operational. Thanks so much for your exceptional service.

Weve been going to Cardinal Pool since 2009 when we put in our above ground pool. Wed never had a salt system before and Cardinal makes it easy to maintain your water chemistry. You simply take in a bottle of your pool water- they instantly analyze it with their machine and print out a detailed breakdown of your water chemistry. Then they walk you through what you need, and how much.The prices are great and the service is always quick and friendly- they know you want to get back to swimming.Weve been to them many springs when our water was pure sludge green after winter and theyve helped us clear it up to beautiful blue asap.Theyre wonderful and they will help you through every step of having a pool.

They are truly not a pool store as they do not install or work on pools any longer. We had them install a new auto cover that ripped within three months. They came out and repaired blaming it on us opening the cover too much which was not true. Continued to have issues with it and within a couple years It ripped out and broke again. They would not accept any responsibility and would not even file a claim with the manufacturer for me. I personally am not doing business with them again.

Would like to add to this post! I am beyond happy with cardinal pool.Mike and his wife are so nice. Not pushy on getting you to buy. Thats why I went back! Nice place!!!!We have our pool up and running with a few calls to Mike we did it!!!! I would recommend everyone to stop In and check it out. You dont get a dumb look when you realise you just asked a dumb quistion. Lol so happy I stoped in and got our pool there!!! Before you buy a pool go there to get a price and the feeling that yep this is the place! Thank you Mike and family for making our summer more fun!!

I have been a customer for more than a dozen years and have purchased two pools from them. They are super helpful and knowledgeable.

I have never been treated so rudely! I called to get a commercial pool closed. Being in a small city we often have to outsource between 5-30 miles outside of our city to get items completed. I can tell they did not want to come to my city however when I asked how much is pricing for travel time (so i can calculate that in) Sharron got snippy? I asked why do I feel hostility on the phone? She instantly said this isnt going to work, have a good day ...REALLY? If you dont want to do the job just say so. You cant even pay people to work anymore!

The best place for your pool supplies.

I tried to like these guys. I really did. But after three seasons of being made to feel like I was doing them a favor to spend my money in their store, I gave up. The owners and employees are surly, unwelcoming and only grudgingly helpful. Its a mystery to me how theyre still in business.If youre looking for pool supplies in Champaign Urbana, do yourself a favor and skip these guys entirely. I now work with Rassmussen, only a few blocks away from Cardinal, and I feel like a weights been lifted off my shoulders.
